Pacific Ocean

"Jess, help with the others! There's a storm coming!" barked a man dressed in a dark black trench coat, and long brown beard, and a blue hat. "Yes, father!" a woman dressed in a brown tunic, with a white blouse underneath, and brown trousers. Her dark brown hair, she wore down, and she adorned a red bandana, and two gold earrings in both of her ears. She appeared to be in her twenties. Her name is Jessica Van Schwartz, daughter of Pirate Captain Eric Marcus Schwartz, and with a reputation of traveling the seas and causing trouble in different ports wherever they stop.
But this one particular night, a dangerous storm approached, and the crew, alongside with Captain Eric and his daughter Jessica, prepared for the worst. "Father! Where are you going?" Jessica called out to him. "I'm going to be in my cabin for a while. If you need me for anything, yer know where to find me!" spoke up Eric. "Oh, he's at it again." grumbled a crew member named Edwin. Jessica sighed. "That treasure he picked up in Jamaica. He's obsessed with it!" said Jessica.
"He's worrying us, lass. That's all he ever does anymore. Once we thought of him as a good leader, and he's lacking of it. You're the only one who's been leading us." said Edwin. "A nasty storm is moving in, and he has to help us, before we all get killed in it!" said Jessica. Jessica decided to speak with her father about the situation. She shortly found him in his chamber, staring into a treasury chest filled with gold coins, jewels, gems, and other precious items. "Father, we need to talk, its urgent." spoke up Jessica.
"Not right now, Jessica! Can't yer see I'm busy here?!" growled Captain Eric. "Busy?! You call that busy?! Staring at a bunch of gold all day? Father, there are more important things to worry about now, that a chest full of treasure!" argued Jessica. Suddenly, Captain Eric quickly stood up, glaring angrily at his daughter. "Listen to me, woman! You go back out there, and keep the group at work! I told you I'm busy!" shouted Eric.
"Father, you're going to get us all killed! Don't you understand that?!" Jessica yelled back. "GET OUT! GET OUT, GET OUT OF MY CABIN!" screamed Eric. "FINE!" Jessica shouted back, as she bolted out of the cabin, slamming the door behind her. "Jess! The storm its coming!" Edwin cried out running towards Jessica.
"Batten down the hatches! Make sure everything is secure!" Jessica ordered to the crew. "Aye, Aye Jess." said the crew, as they obeyed the Captain daughter's orders. "Jess, you should go to your cabin where its safe. We don't want anything to happen to yer!" said another crew member, Bastion. "No, I need to be with you gentlemen. That's my job. No one is going to die, once I'm around." said Jessica. "Lassie, are you sure of this!" said Edwin. "YES! Now move it!" Jessica shouted.
Suddenly, the storm moved in, and it was severe. Jessica summoned the crew to join her in her cab for shelter. "What of your father?" asked Edwin. A part of her didn't want to go to him, and a part of her wanted to, after her little argument with him. "Lassie, he's our Captain, we must keep him safe." said Bastion. "Alright, I'll get father." said Jessica. Jessica left her cabin, and moved to her father's. Soon as she entered the cabin, she noticed Captain Eric was not in his cabin. "Oh for the love of Pete! Where is he?" Jessica snapped loudly to herself, and she sprinted out of the cabin.
She carefully went out on the main part of the ship carefully as the storm swinging the ship heavily across the large tides coming towards the ship. Jessica caught her father at the wheel of the ship, guiding it, towards the STORM! And in his pocket, was a stone.
The white jewel shone brightly throughout the area. "FATHER! What are you doing?! You're leading us to our deaths!" Jessica shouted as she sprinted towards Captain Eric. "Sorry, its my duty to do this. The Treasure is mine, and no one is going to stand in my way." snarled Captain Eric. "What's that got to do with the problem we got now! Turn back! Turn back!" Jessica shouted. "NO!" Captain Eric roared, as he spun around and struck Jessica, sending her flying, and she landed in te ocean water.
"Edwin! Woman overboard!" cried out Bastion. "What's gotten into our Captain? Has he lost his cotton pick in mind?!" shouted Edwin. "He's leading us to death!" moaned another crew mate. "Its too late. The Ship's sinking!" cried out another, as they felt the ship sinking underneath the sea. Meanwhile, Captain Eric didn't move as he remained at the wheel with the treasure chest at his side, and the jewel in his pocket. As for Jessica, she tried her best to reach the ship as it was sinking, by the time she reached the ship, it went under, and she couldn't get to the ship in time.
"FATHER! FATHER! MASTER EDWIN! MASTER BASTION!" screamed Jessica, but there was no answer. Suddenly, she saw a jewel floating in the ocean and she reached for it.
Jessica looked at the jewel, remembering what her father told her about it: "This is a Moon Jewel, the most prized jewel of us pirates! Those who are in possession of this jewel receive magical powers. Which I have no clue what the powers are. Someday, this jewel will be passed to you, my daughter!" the words of her father echoing to her. Jessica closed her eyes as she floated away, holding the jewel close to her.
Soon Jessica ended up washed to shore, left unconscious, still holding the Moon Jewel in her hand.
