"Ummmmm... Inuyasha?" She looked up into the shocked eyes of Inuyasha and Kagome, "I, uh, I think I broke your brother."

"I... uh. I see that." Inuyasha stammered, shock rooting him to the spot. Slowly, Kagome edged closer to the two pinned against the tree, her hands out and facing up, hoping to not give Sesshomaru the impression that she was trying to attack. He paid her no mind, lovingly caressing Shae's fiery curls, until Kagome reached up to put her hand on Shae's shoulder. His head whipped around, a low growl ripping savagely out of his throat, his tinted red eyes trained on Kagome.

"Do not touch her" his possessive voice was gravely, deeper than normal and sent shivers of fear down both Kagome and Shae's backs. His voice seemed to shake Inuyasha out of his stupor as he instantly covered the distance between them and shoved himself between Kagome and Sesshomaru, pushing her back far enough that he could point his over sized fang of a sword at Sesshomaru's throat.

"WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?" Inuyasha screamed harshly, "GET AWAY FROM HER OR I'LL KILL YOU FOR SURE THIS TIME!" Sesshomaru growled fiercely at him, but didn't make any move to distance himself from the woman who's stomach his head was now resting lightly on.

"Ummmm... Sesshomaru? Could we, I don't know, maybe take this love fest somewhere else?" She nervously ran her hand through his hair as he stared up into her eyes, her eyes moved to Kagome "Like to Keade, who may know what the hell is going on?"

"Keade, I've heard this name before. Who is this woman?" His eyes for once were not guarded, not a sliver of ice was in them, it was like staring into an open book, and it made all three of them anxious.

"You'll find out. So, just come with us?" Shae couldn't help but form it as a question, though some how she knew that he wasn't going to be leaving her alone for a while. He stood up, not moving any farther away from her, she was pinned between him and the tree, his broad chest directly in her face.

"Hey! What's this?" Inuyasha asked, moving to where they were standing and picking a gold chain off the ground, holding it up in between two fingers.

"That's my necklace, thanks for grabbing it. Could you give it here?" She stuck her hand out from behind Sesshomaru, but didn't have to strain too far as Inuyasha was fairly close by now.

"No prob...lem" he said slowly as he sharply inhaled her scent, holding his hand out to give her necklace back, "You, smell so nice." his dazed voice reached her ears as his hand over hers.
"Inuyasha?" Kagome questioned over Sesshomaru's possessive growling. Inuyasha's glazed eyes found Kagome, a look of shock passing through them.
"Ki-kagome?" He questioned, realizing just who he had been seeing. Kagome tried to cover the hurt she felt, but Shae caught the brief look that flashed through her eyes. Even Sesshomaru stopped his growling and tilted his head, studying her with suddenly clear eyes.

"What just happened Inuyasha?" Kagome was worried, very worried, first Sesshomaru fell to his knees before Shae and now Inuyasha seemed to be affected too? What in the world was going on!

"Kagome! We need to get to Kaede! NOW!" The normally fearless woman was not even bothering to try and hide her fear over the situation. At the sound of her voice, Sesshomaru blinked his eyes, turning his gaze from Kagome and nuzzled his head back into Shae's chest.
The trip to Kaede's hut was fast, with Kagome and Inuyasha struggling to keep up with Sesshomaru, who was cradling Shae in his arms. Shae found herself clinging to the intimidating demon for dear life as they traveled at speeds her human brain couldn't comprehend, the scenery around her reduced to nothing but nauseating blurs. Smelling the fear radiating off of the woman in his arms, Sesshomaru growled soothingly too her, not realizing in this state that his growls would mean nothing to the human.
"Oi! Sesshomaru! Slow down, ya bastard!" The voice reached his ears and turned his soothing growl to a menacing one.
"Listen to him. We're almost there, it won't hurt to slow down" at the sound of the voice he glanced down, his surprised eyes met her demanding ones. A low whine left his throat in protest, but he slowed anyway, allowing the half breed and human to catch up with them.
