I'm back for another chapter. But before I go I'll answer to the current reviews I got.
Mola King: Of course not, though he'll get it in the future. The reason why I didn't give him a defense against thinkers, precogs, power stealers and masters is because it'll make my character too powerful from the get-go. Thinkers and precogs have a good reason. Power stealers are rare and hunted by many people out of fear, heck, Glaistig Uiane turned herself in. Masters? Well you'll see that in the story.
Auxiliary Nexus: True, many people use Gestation and not Golden Age for those reasons. I decided, why not be a little bit unique? I think Gestation is often used because the characters are already layed out, no need to create many OCs. Also, I know people like Unlimited Shard Works and Power Sight, but I say nah! Your tinker set is pretty cool though, the monstrosity's you can create with that. My set is pure juggernaut, overpowerd because of the synergies the powers have with eachother but still juggernaut. The set is based around heroic stories. Heroes get driven down by powerful opponents but rise up miraculously and win with a sudden burst of power or ramp up to overpower said evil villain. It's a concept I like toying with.
sonic: Thank you!
Shadow12: Accurate, but Geon will be unique as he's aware.
FanGirl: Thanks for the chance
Anyways, I'm not sure if my story is good and all, it's your opinion so please rate and review if you can or want to. I'm still pretty new to writing though I've done my fair share of world building. Remember this is before cannon so characters like King are alive and Jack Slash is REALLY young right now. Tattletale? Yeah she'll exist but not in the current year. Geon's plan is to de-rail cannon while at the same time growing strong enough to kill Scion or cripple him. About Kelphri? You'll see.
Fun Fact: One of the members of the Slaughterhouse 9 is a case 53 and twin of one of the members of the PRT.
Disclaimer: Worm is owned by Wildbrow. The only thing I own are my OCs.
『Prologue 1-2』
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Geon quite literally dropped down from the sky. Snatching a quick glance at his current surroundings while yelling his heart out, he quickly noted that the technology isn't as advanced and wondered where he was dropped. It seems that he is truly in the Golden Age scenario. The economy was alright and Leviathan still hasn't struck, boats are sailing quite nicely while the teen is dropping to his death. Looking down to see where he lands, Geon regretted it the instant he did so.
Below him was a black haired man about the age of 26 wearing a punk outfit, his skin was dark and tattoos lingered on his face. The man was talking and waving around a drink in his hands. Is punk still in fashion these days? Geon tried to distract himself from his demise but shook his head and tried to force himself to move mid-air, resistance was futile. His mouth was dry from screaming the first time he fell and the punk wasn't smart or dumb enough to look up. Closing his eyes Geon prepared for the inevitable and crashed into the man at high velocity. Breaking his own body due to the kinetic force reflecting on the surface of the earth.
"Yo what the fuck?!" There were 4 other silhouettes there, all having the concept of punk installed into their fashion sense. "The hell! Kid, this ain't no place you can drop in." Geon wanted to look towards the origin of the voice but couldn't move a single muscle without further shattering his bones and furthering the damage done to his body. He slowly and begrudgingly opened his eyes to see blood, either from him or the man. Geom highly suggested the latter. He couldn't change his facial expression to that of one who is horrified he'll slip his consciousness through his grasp should he even attempt that or anything else that included motion. Geon ignored the four silhouettes and thus pissed them off even more. They started to stalked towards him like four apex predators. "You think you can kill one of us and get away scot free? You thought wrong boy!" There goes his hopes of being saved by one of them, after all, he killed one of them. 'Duh!' Geon thought with broken humor when the first of them, a man with black hair and an open black jacket showing off more tattoos stomped on him hard, black slowly filled his sight but will dusted it away. The man had anger evident on his face as he began stomping down on the broken boy, cracks appearing on Geon's bones and spreading further out.
Ribs, spine, leg, arms. More bones cracked as the punk kicked Geon further away from his landing point and motioned the others to stomp on him. One of them hesitated but complied with the others to stomp on him repeatedly. At this point almost all of his bones are broken which cuts off Geon's access to ever moving should he actually want to. "Go beat him till a bloody pulp, I'm getting my gun." The black haired soon-to-be-murderer left searching for his glock 18 and left the area even for a short while. Geon decided to go for broke and tried to move but instead twitched, pain blazed all over his entire body once again. As if the twitch was mocking them, the punks started going at it harder. Blood streamed out of his nose while his body was littered with bruises and his insides were full of broken bones, pain shadowing it all into an endless amount of agony. The man came back with a firearm in hand. "Be glad I'm so merciful you fucker." He aimed it down onto Geon's chest and shot him three times painting the floor with blood. The bullet fortunately missed his heart but struck in his lungs.
Satisfied that he has 'killed' Geon, the black haired murderer dragged Geon's 'corpse' towards the bay. Of course nobody else was there to spectate or save him. The murderer soon dropped him into the water as if he was holding trash, in thus coloring a small portion of it blood red which soon got devoured by the changing tides. Is this truly the end? The broken boy closed his eyes as he sunk deeper and deeper into the abyss that is the bay. Why? Why drop him in Brockton Bay if he'll die sooner or later? Is this some sick joke? Confusion, anger. pain and sadness. The feeling of betrayal didn't clash against the emotions, rather, it synchronized with them and as if a beacon was fired off. Help was send in form of The Foreign One.
[Curiosity]
A single red star who's color is close to crimson formed. It moved around for a moment, as if it signed curiosity.
[Designation]
The red star then flew in a vertical line upwards.
[Resolve]
The red star glowed. It's radiance becoming brighter and brighter as time goes, eventually enveloping everything.
[Adjustment]
The bright red turned pure crimson and two distinct eyes can be seen leering through.
[Arrival]
The black that is the eyes and the crimson that is the light vanished showing the red star. It was seen flying right towards him.
[Synchronization]
Geon's eyes snapped open. The sudden change in condition and trigger vision made him reel back in shock and turn upside down on accident. "What?" his voice was bubbly due to the fact that he's underwater. Geon tried to look where he is as he deducted that he is underwater but everything was black, he couldn't see a thing. Darkness enveloped everything. It was as if he faced the same fate as Cherish. He doesn't know how long he's been out though judging by the fact that he felt like he's still sinking deeper and deeper in the water means he hasn't hit the bottom yet, obviously. He wanted to panic but it was strangely non-existent, his emotions seemed numbed. First things first, get somewhere where he can see and by that he means the surface. To start early he calmly looked 'up'. Of course Geon can't use the bubbles strategy because the oxygen in his body is most likely all gone. Closing his hurting eyes he conjured up the memories of his swimming lessons and began swimming 'up' with perfect movement.
He felt like he crashed into something and he can't check if it is. So he moved his hand to touch what he crashed into. It felt hard and rather rough, Geon began dragging his hand across his reach and quickly deducted that this is the bottom. How long has he been out? Turning upside down again with perfect movement, Geon swam opposite to his previous direction up towards the surface.
The weight of his clothes slowed him down like he thought and he had half a mind to take it off. However he persisted that clothes are needed should he ever get to the surface. Now it's time to think. For some reason his swimming was really fluid, as if the density of the water wasn't even there. Does he have enhanced strength? His movements were perfect as if he has complete control over his motor functions. Geon excitedly swam faster and faster, pushing his body to the limits and never even reaching it. Continuously swimming up to the surface.
He began to see a light that shone brighter and brighter. Yes! He was starting to get close to the surface! A flash of hesitatuon halted him before he reached the surface. Causing Geon to strategize. Going to the surface means land but people will know about him, mainly as the boy who rose from the waters. At worst case scenario and seeing how Scion became popular, if a second one rises then people will start to think there are multiple parahumans before the parahumans even get out of hiding which is five years too soon and people will search for new parahumans. That'll be bad and completely de-rail cannon. He needs to keep himself hidden and as he seems to be breathing underwater, please god don't make him an aquatic beast. Living underwater is possible, this can keep him hidden long enough. First things first, power testing. Maybe he'll create a temporary cave to stand in mid test.
Geon positioned himself in front of a stone wall and punched with utilization of his martial arts skil. Cracks popped into reality on the rough surface of the wall. Super strength, check. Water breathing, obviously. Limitless stamina, he'll find out. Numbed emotions, got it. He closed his eyes once again and tried to find an instinctive feeling. Wait a second. Having numbed emotions, the ability to breathe underwater, perfect control of his motor functions and gradually growing super strength. He had the exact same powerset as his CYOA that he created! This is both good AND bad. Good thing is that he now literally has a shard that Glaistig Uiane would name The Hero. Bad thing is that he'll be feared and he'll be a masochist.
Looking at the cracked wall, he began breaking it down with empty punches. In hopes to creating a cafe or a solid platform for him to stand on in form of a cave. Piercing the hard surface with his hands and pulling stone out at occasional moments. Geon soon created a small crater sized hole in the wall and thought 'Not enough'. Starting to pummel the hole once more and pulling chunks out more often to increase it's size. While this happened Geon thought about his trigger event. It was way different than the usual because you can see a single red entity rather then two separate entities. He deduced that it must be Abbadon. Pulling the information from the CYOA and Worm into his mind.
The Foreign One. Each power is far more potent and it can grow with time. A combination of both Living Shards and Dead Shards. If that's the case then his rapidly growing strength will be growing faster and his regeneration is deadpool level and can still grow. Isn't he essentially immortal? Geon shook his head and swam in his hand made cave. Planting his feet onto the ground while he thought how to activate Rocky. Being underwater doesn't bring him any harm as his regeneration fixed that except for his eyes, but regeneration made the pain almost non-existent. So maybe it's constantly active right now.
Geon entered the newly established cave and pulled a hand sized sharp rock free from the cave walls. He begun his next step of his power testing and stabbed it in himself, hissing in pain while blood rose like steam from his newly created wound. Pulling the rock out he couldn't even see his wound, 2nd trigger regeneration is that potent already? This also gave him a look at part of himself, namely his arm. Geon didn't look like a beanpole anymore and his skin looked smooth. Is this the effect of Cosmetic Shapeshift? He counted his powers in his mind. Rocky, Regeneration, Peak Condition. All second trigger. Cosmetic Shapeshift because he if he got anything else it'll lower his rate of being hurt. Geon felt like he forgot something though he ignored it as in favor of hurting himself.
Geon felt aghast for a fraction of a moment that he became a masochist so easily and without his knowledge. Numbed Emotions was helpful as he calmed down and starting stabbing himself over and over. Ignore petty details, get strong as fast as you can. The rock soon broke apart and crumbled even though Geon felt the same. Did he get stronger? He never knew unless he tries and decided to test that and punched the cave wall, creating a far larger crack in the wall. As if his strength has doubled, is this the effect of Abbadon? Geon pulled back the knowledge again.
This world has just started it's golden age. Shards flew off everywhere or resided in a pocket dimension while searching for a person who had a just experienced a trigger event, if the host was perfect for them or compatible with them they'll then merge. Scion first appeared and the people who gained powers worked from the shadows. Geon, too, was no exception to that. He couldn't devise a plan to kill Scion on his own and thought of joining Cauldron but decided against it, they'll be suspicious anyways and he can't leave the water. Five years, that's how long he has until the PRT forms and one year after until the Slaughterhouse 9 is formed under control of King. Jack Slash is still a child at that time.
Shards are a combination of minor shards forming into one power. Each shard has different applications, Queen Administrator for one can control a wide variety of low intelligence lifeforms. Taylor Hebert gained the power to control bugs while Adrian controls birds. Panacea released Taylor's limitations and gave her the ability to control all lifeforms within a certain large area. Some shards, when having enough information or experience. Duplicate or rips a chunk off of itself to send it to gain a new host. That's how Adrian got his power, it's a bud off of Queen Administrator.
There are different kinds of shards. Living shards, 'dead' shards, noble shards and more. Living shards are connected to Zion/ Scion. 'Dead' shards are shards who lost connection or are Eden's remaining shards. Noble shards are shards that are to control other shards, clean up their mess. They are often powerful ones or ones that require less conflict. As Glaistig Uiane calls them or as they are called. The Shaper, The Administrator and The High-Priest are just a few. Geon has a noble shard named The Hero because it's concept is rising against all odds no matter what. Regenerating and growing stronger in battle, overcoming all challenges.
Each shard has lots of power, yet, it's still finite. A power will run out of juice should it be used continuously, even though it works for a decade if the user uses it without end it'll run out in close to 30 years or so. Eidolon is a good example. His power starts off powerful, regarded as one of the strongest around. Yet over the years his powers slowly diminished, becoming weaker and weaker. He can fill it back up by draining other shards but he doesn't know that. Without the perk Blindspot Contessa will likely know that Geon has information to as how to 'refill' Eidolon again.
Each shard is controlled by the users conscious and subconscious. Take in for example Eidolon again. His main power that you all know, is to shuffle through a wide nigh limitless variety of powerful abilities everytime with 3 slots of powers. This, is controlled by his consciousness and the only one he is aware off. His subconscious controls the Endbringers. Because he wants a worthy opponent he makes the Endbringers act like a boss battle and attack cities. The first of which is Behemoth at 1992. Geon made note to talk some sense into Eidolon and get him therapy from Jessica Yamada as soon as he can. Some shards take both the slot of conscious and subconscious. An example here being Sveta. Her power grants her powerful tentacles which she can consciously aim to attack anyone she wants, but her powers also subconsciously classify everyone as enemy and attack them without Sveta's permission. Powers can't only take up the subconscious slot.
There are different kinds of powers, as said they shards are a combination of numerous mini shards combined. The powers they grant are either active or passive. Active like Purity's light and Legend's lasers or passive like Geon's whole powerset. Some may have the effects of both, Lung has an active pyrokinesis and can kick start his passive ability to ramp up into a four armed metal dragon. Speaking of powers, if you take Geon's shard and place it onto somebody else, the power gained wont be the same. This is the 'manton' effect, Geon's body is perfect for his passive skills but the others isn't, they will probably get immortality but not so permanent ramping up. Shards tend to avoid damaging their host too, this concludes thinker headaches.
The manton effect is something every shard has. It's power will be equal to what your body can handle at most and it's also there to make sure other shards get as much experience as possible. Yeah sure you can move around massive buildings with telekinesis but with the manton effect one can't use that telekinesis to crush ones spine in an instant. The manton effect also changes the power gained as explained above. Taylor Hebert has a very strong mind and is capable of supporting her whole swarm while Adrian's isn't as strong. Powers differ, if you train your body then some of your powers will get stronger. This manton limit is to weaken a shard, make sure the shard gains as much experience as possible via creative uses to counter this limit and more.
And speaking of shards. The entities are a combination of numerous shards given existence and life. They are composed of several vital shards and numerous others. The vital shards are a must for the Entity as it needs it to live. But they are also still shards, meaning they can run out of juice. Because of this the entities require to do the cycle. By making their shards scatter and merge with several different hosts. The shards merge with the hosts personality and drive them to conflict to gain experience and grow. Budding off and working until they lose power. After a long time, usually about 300 years. The entity destroys the planet and it's counterparts, taking back all the shards and refilling them with the planetary energy that they infected. The entities then refill themselves with the said energy of the several destroyed planets and via osmosis get all the experience of every host using the shards. Before the entity shall start the cycle once again.
It's unknown what Abbadon does but it's probably the same. Zion and Eden travel together and do the cycle together, however it's fortunate that Fortuna and Doctor Mother killed Eden. Zion is The Warrior and the fighter while Eden is The Thinker. Should the Thinker be alive then Geon is already dead. There is a high chance that Eden would have something akin to fate manipulation. She's not dumb, or else she wouldn't be The Thinker. This grants humanity a winning chance against the entities.
And that brings us to cannon. Scion is far more powerful then any of the parahumans on this planet. Taylor managed to kill Scion as Khelphri before getting shot by Contessa. Geon placed the Khelphri or Cannon plan as a hidden weapon while thinking of a good one that'll benefit him. If he remembers correctly his perks were noctis cape, secret lair and... negentropy. Fucking hell. Geon forgot about the single pinnacle of all shards, unlimited, infinite and limitless. He is truly immortal. Geon can't run out of 'juice' and that means he can train all he wants without repercussions, especially since he got 5 years to himself in a literal matter of speaking.
To do so, he needs to find his secret lair. It's said to have things beneficial to the owner, in which Geon knew it was going to have masochistic equipment. He sighed in exasperation before looking in all of his pockets. Coincidencentally enough, there was a map with a note attached to it.
Hello Geon, I am ??? or as you know ROB
I may or may not have been bored so I decided, why not do what the other ROB's do and isekai a person into a fanfiction. So I did! I also made no adjustments to the world as this is the past. There is bound to be people you don't know from cannon. (Smart idea to choose interlude's instead of meta knowledge you idiot).
I've been wondering how you will do this. Will you be a hero, a villain or a vigilante? How will you do this? What will you do? Where is your base? Well, rest assured best buddy! It's right next to you, literally turn left from the direction you are facing right now and swim. You can't miss a glowing underwater tower unless you are blind. Or the saltwater is getting into your eyes and making your vision blurry, please be the latter.
Oh come on! Don't wish me dead, wish me alive, technically I'm both. You're one. I'm better then you. Ha! The map there is to direct you where the tower is, by the way, it's a tower. Remember it. I'm not confident you know which way left is and where you are, you're just that dumb. So a kids map is required for you to know. You're dumb.
Big kisses, your friendly neighborhood ROB
Veins bulged out of Geon's head as the map crumbed under his grip. He was very, very pissed right now. Infact, how did the message know Geon's emotions right at that current point? Shrugging it off as omnipotence bullshit and ignoring the thought in favor of thinking of a way to rip Random Omnipotent Bastard's head off. He decided it's best to listen to it's directions. Turning left he put on a strained smile and whispered with hidden malevolence "Thank you..." before Geon kicked off to the direction he was directed towards. He didn't completely trust the fucker but you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. It'll bite your head off.
『Prologue 1-2』
Hello, decided to get off my lazy ass and publish a new chapter. Woo! We now know where Geon shall live for the rest of his life and gained lore information on the Wormverse. The next chapter shall be one you will NEVER guess! Anyways, we now have insight on Geon's capabilities. Taking in our main protagonists. Now let me uh, explain Geon's powers in more detail then on the above.
Geon's powers are Rocky, Regeneration, Peak Condition and Cosmetic Shapeshift. Not to mention Negentropy.
Rocky, it tremendously increases Geon's overall capabilities not to mention it also builds a resistance and later immunity to said things. For example Geon walks into fire, he gets burned over and over again due to his regeneration but sooner or later Geon will find himself completely fine in heavy amounts of fire. This of course only applies to that kind of fire and it's weaker variants. Blue fire will still be able to hurt him. More like a steadily growing heat resistance. By overall capabilities it means the efficiency, strength, potency and power of the user. Their brain will be able to transfer information and signals faster, get better reflexes and more. Strength is the density of ones muscles, how much they can endure and how much they can dish out. Potency is for the users innards and powers. The immune system will get far more potent, his stomach acid is more potent, his powers will grow even faster and become even better. As explained, the manton limit is how much power a body can extract from a shard without it having dire consequences. Power is what the user can do, how much power they can access from negrentropy.
Peak Condition. The users body is always in peak condition, or in other words. Geon is immune to sicknesses, curses, virusses and harmful effects. Mutations from his powers will also cease to appear as Peak Condition classifies Geon's current form as his Peak or his strongest form. Peak Condition also makes, in conjunction with Cosmetic Shapeshift, Geon one of the cutest boys there exists and wont look like he'll be able to do much at all. All of Geon's capabilities are at the peak of their level, yet can get stronger through Rocky. In which Geon's strength ramps up strength much faster then usual. This also greatly enhances Regeneration.
Speaking of Regeneration. Using Peak Condition as a base, Regeneration too is far more potent and powerful. In fact Geon now has the ability to regenerate from a single drop of blood, the level of regeneration can soon put even wolverine and deadpool to shame. Regeneration restores Geon's abilities and heals all wounds instantly. Geon doesn't need to eat, sleep or breathe with this power. Sleep too, is neglectible thanks to the perk Noctis Cape. Shooting Geon in the head in attempts to erase his memories is also impossible through Noctis Cape, Regeneration and Peak Condition. Second Trigger Regeneration is so potent that Geon can't age and his wounds are healing so fast it'd look like Geon wasn't even hurt at all.
Cosmetic Shapeshift, the only non 2nd trigger power Geon owns. It makes him cute, infact Geon has his appearance changed to whatever he thinks looks the cutest on a boy. It's possible to evolve this but who knows. This power helps Peak Condition choose a base form and will always make Geon look like a cute boy. His non muscled form will still have his tremendous physical power.
Negentropy, the power I wanted to talk about the most. Infinite, unlimited and limitless, the pinnacle of all shards. I picture Negentropy as having the power stone of Marvel fused within the boy. All of his abilities are massively enhanced but only limited by Geon's body. Sooner or later I want Geon to be able to harness the power of Negentropy to break his limits in multiple ways. Or atleast have power moves. No, not the Smashes from My Hero but a different way to express his immense physical strength. Eh, I wont reveal it here. But it's a secret, please look forward to it.
Anyways, with this set you can see that Geon is a physical fighter, no mental resistance. A pure juggernaut in the body of a child. Oh this'll be fun to do. Please look forward for more as this lazy writer is going to sleep for a couple months maybe. Eh, I don't have a schedule. Cya later!
