A/N: Sorry for not updating sooner. I've been busy with high school, and I didn't get much inspiration until about a week ago. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter. In case you're wondering, this chapter is in Cocoa's POV.

Disclaimer: I do not own Tokyo Mew Mew or its characters. However, I do own Cocoa.

"Big sister."

"Ten more minutes, Shira..."

"Big sister!"

"Ten more minutes..."

"BIG SISTER, WAKE UP!"

I screamed and sat up in bed. "What do you think you're doing, waking me up this early?!"

My white haired, brown eyed, six-year-old sister smiled. "It's time!"

"Time? Time for what?! What could I possibly have to do at 7:50 in the morning other than-" I cut off as I realized what I had to do.

"..."

"...Shira...please don't tell me I'm-"

"Yep!" Shira said. "The new Rainbowfire Heroes game came out exactly twenty minutes ago, and you missed it!"

Gasping in horror, I threw the covers off of me and quickly got out of bed. "Shira, can you please get out of my room so I can get dressed and buy the game before it's sold out?" I asked quickly as I began pulling off my dark brown pajamas.

Shira nodded, walked out of my room, and closed the door.

"Please don't be sold out! Please, please, please don't let it be sold out!" I quietly murmured to myself. I ran over to my closet and began throwing random articles of clothing on my bed until, eventually, I found a pink-and-white t-shirt and some blue-gray shorts that came down to just above my knees. After putting those on, I brushed my teeth and my hair and washed my face, then began running downstairs.

"Shira, I'm leaving now! Tell mom I'm buying the game, alright?" I called as I put on my white shoes.

"Okay!" Shira yelled.

"Bye!" I began running towards the videogame store.

Good morning! My name's Cocoa Wakaba, and I'm 13 years old. I have almost-shoulder-length light brown hair and brown eyes . As of today, I am officially on summer break. If I didn't have something important to do this morning, I'd be sleeping in. I can't afford to miss the opportunity to buy this game, though!

Please don't be sold out, please don't be sold out, please don't be sold out, please don't be- Yes!

I saw a large crowd of people standing in front of the store; almost all of them were holding the new game. From what I could see, there were still a few copies of it left.

Unfortunately, two other people entered the store and walked out with two of the three copies.

Determined, I sprinted towards the store and ran inside. "THIS GAME...WILL BE MINE!"

I reached my hand out to grab the last one, and...

...somebody took it.

Somebody took my game.

Somebody took my game that I had been saving my money to buy for the past five months!

I frantically dug around in my right pocket and pulled out the 4000 yen I had brought with me, then put it on the counter. "Sir," I said, panicking, "I'd like the new Rainbowfire Heroes game. Do you have any left in stock?"

"Rainbowfire Heroes 5? I'm sorry. We're all sold out," he said, pushing the money towards me. "I feel sorry for you. We're not supposed to have any more copies until...two weeks from now, I believe."

I stood there in shock for at least five minutes, until, eventually...

"I've been waiting...five months...for this game...and somebody...some heartless idiot...took my game!" I shouted, putting my money in my pocket and storming out.

It had been at least half an hour since the incident at the store. I now sat on a bench, calling mom on my cellphone. "Hi, mom."

"Hello, Cocoa! Your sister told me that you went to buy that game you've been saving up for," said mom.

"Um, well, about that..." I sighed. "It was sold out."

"Sold out?" mom asked, sounding shocked. "I'm sorry, dear."

"Thanks, mom," I said.

"Look on the bright side," mom said. "Now you have the whole summer to do more...productive things!" She didn't sound very sympathetic now; in fact, she actually sounded happy. Mom had always had some dislike towards videogames.

"What exactly do you mean by 'productive things'?" I asked.

"Reading, studying, exercising...That sort of thing!" she answered.

I do technically get exercise from going to school and walking around Tokyo, I thought to myself. I only play videogames for at least two hours a day, anyways... "I understand," I said. "Anyways, I was going to tell you that I'm going to walk around for a bit. I'd might as well do something else while I'm out here, right?" I smiled.

"All right, dear," mom said. "Have fun! I love you! Stay safe!"

"Love you too," I said before hanging up. Productive things? Hm... I stood up and looked around until...

"Wow," I said. "That's a cute pink building. What is it?" I looked up at the top of the building. "Is that some sort of statue? I wonder if I should climb up there and take a look...No, that's a bad idea."

Suddenly, the statue started glowing red, and I was surrounded by a white light.

What is this? I looked around. Am I dreaming?

A spider appeared in front of me.

...A spider? I smiled. I've always loved spiders. So many people are terrified of them, but...they're not scary at all. They make such beautiful webs... I held out my right hand for it to crawl onto.

It crawled onto my hand, then began crawling on my arm until, eventually, it came to my chest. Then the strangest thing happened...

Did it just...go inside me? I closed my eyes. It's weird. For some reason, it feels...nice.

When I opened my eyes, I was in the same spot I was when I fell asleep. "How long...How long was I asleep?" I sat up and looked around. There were a few people who were looking at me like I was crazy. "Um..." I blushed slightly in embarrassment. "Excuse me, sir! Do you know how long I was asleep?" I asked one of the people.

"How long were you asleep?" He blinked a couple of times. "I don't know. An hour, maybe?"

"Well, I guess that makes up for the sleep I didn't get this morning. I guess it would be about...9:20 AM," I said. "Thank you for answering!" I stood up and began walking home.

"Mom, Shira, I'm back!" I called as I walked inside and took my shoes off. It was now the next day, and I had just gone grocery shopping. "Did anything interesting happen while I was gone?"

"Well..." Mom smiled awkwardly, and a sweat drop appeared on her head. "Shira has been playing with string. I think the game is called Cat's Cradle...She's a bit...tied up right now. I offered to help her, but she said that she wanted to do it herself!"

I looked into the living room and saw that Shira's hands were tied together with multicolored yarn. "I see what you mean by 'tied up'," I said, chuckling. "Shira, are you sure you don't need help with that?"

"Don't worry, big sister! I can do this!" she exclaimed, her hands still trying to break free of the colorful prison.

After putting the grocery bags on the table, I walked into the living room and sat down next to Shira. "Are you positive you don't want me to help you?"

"It's okay, I don't..." She sighed. "I take it back. I need help."

I smiled and began untying her hands. "Okay. I'm going to warn you, though, I'm not-" I gasped in shock when I realized what I had just done.

"Did I actually just...untie that really complicated knot...then make a web out of it?!" I asked. It was true. There was now a multicolored spider web made of yarn in my hands.

"Wow! How did you learn to do that?!" Shira asked, sparkly-eyed.

"I...I don't know..." I murmured, my eyes widening. Something weird is going on...I looked up at mom, then stood up. "Mom, I'll be right back. There's something I need to do." I put the web in my pocket.

Mom looked confused for a second, then smiled. "Be safe."

I nodded, then walked out the door.

Fifteen minutes later, I stood near the pink building. "Let me think...The statue started glowing red yesterday, and then..." I sighed. "I can't remember." I looked up at the statue. "Maybe I should climb up there and take a look." I began walking towards the building. "How am I going to-"

All of a sudden, I heard a loud crashing sound. "What was that?" I murmured before running in the direction of the sound.

When I got to the area the sound came from, I saw a giant, white...thing...destroying things. It looked kind of like some sort of mutated rabbit with sharp fangs and claws.

"What...What is that?!" I exclaimed, backing away slowly.

"Hey!"

I turned around. Six girls with animal parts were standing behind me...Six girls with animal parts?!

"T-Tokyo...Mew Mew?!" I screamed. I'd seen them on TV before.

A pink haired cat girl and a blonde rabbit-cat girl nodded. "For the Earth's future, we will be of service!"

"Wow..." My eyes widened.

Suddenly, a blue haired bird girl gasped. "That mark...it couldn't be!"

I backed away from the monster even more. "Wh-What mark?"

"The mark on the back of your neck! You're one of us!" a green haired girl said.

"I'm what?!" I screamed.

A pink, floating kitty-thing opened what I assumed was its mouth, and a yellow pendant came out.

The cat girl took the pendant and tossed it to me. "Hurry and transform!"

"Transform?!" I asked. "How am I supposed to do that?!"

"The words will come to you!" answered the cat girl, dodging an attack from the monster.

I ceased backing away and looked up at the monster, still scared, but not as scared as before. "Mew Mew Cocoa! Metamorphosis!" About forty seconds later, I was in a strapless brown dress, brown boots, and some small, puffy, brown things on the upper parts of my arms. The part that I found most interesting, though...were the spider legs. Yes, I said dark brown spider legs. A pair of them on each of my sides.

"You did it!" the green haired girl congratulated.

"Thank you!" I yelled, smiling. "What do I do now?"

"Attack!" the cat-rabbit girl answered. "The words will come to you!"

I dodged an attack. "Alright!" I dodged another attack. "Cocoa Orb!" A brown orb appeared in my hands. "Ribbon...Cocoa Beam!" A large, spiral-like beam of white light came from the orb and hit the monster.

"Ichigo, Berry, finish it off!" a purple haired wolf girl yelled.

The cat girl and rabbit-cat girl nodded. "Ribbon...Doubleberry Check!" The monster disappeared.

I stared at the place where the monster used to be in shock. "I can't believe this..."

The group ran over to me. "Are you all right, Mew Cocoa?" the green haired girl asked.

I nodded. "I'm okay...I just...can't believe it. I'm...a Mew Mew."

The cat girl smiled. "I'm so glad we have another member! Your name is Cocoa, right?"

I turned to her. "Yeah."

"Let's save the introductions until we get back to the café," the purple haired wolf girl said.

"Okay," I said as all of us began to walk away from the area.

So what happened yesterday...wasn't a dream!

I really hope you all enjoyed this chapter! Just so you know, the aliens will probably come back in either the next chapter or the one after that.

If anybody has any title suggestions, please let me know! I think "Tokyo Mew Mew: Season 3" is a really boring title. XD

Look forward to chapter 2 sometime soon! :D
