Kenny opened the door to their bedroom and stuck his head inside only to face the empty room. He sighed and backed out.

He had already checked the Reiss Manor, the gardens and their house. He had asked around too but Uri was nowhere to be found. Kenny always got angry when he decided to just disappear.

Usually, Uri would show up before sunset because he would have literally no energy in the nights. But sometimes he would lose the track of time while practising with his titan or taking a walk to think and he would end up sitting and waiting for Kenny to find him after getting tired and away from the house.

One time, Kenny had found him lying on the grass in a clearing in the middle of some trees near their house. He had been loking for Uri for hours and he hadn't even shouted eventhough he had heard Kenny walking around hours ago.

"You are such a brat sometimes Uri..."

Kenny huffed in annoyence when he couldn't find Uri in the small shed near the house. It was already night. Uri had probably practised all day and couldn't move.

Again.

And the worst part was that the damn brat was afraid of the dark.

He run a hand through his hair and faced the mountain on the boundary of the Reiss lands. It was the only place he hadn't checked.

Grunting, he went back in the house and lit a lamp.

.o.

"Uri!"

Kenny stepped over some rocks and cut the vines around himself with one of his knives.

"URİ!"

He cut a few more vines and continued to climb the mountain.

"If you don't show up immediately, I am leavin' you for the wolves!"

He hit a tree while shouting.

"Ahh!"

He stumbled and rubbed his head while cursing inwardly.

'Damn you Uri. I swear I'm gonna-'

He raised his head just to see the very man himself sitting silently on a fallen tree.

"Hey! Why don'tcha say anythin'? Been shoutin' for hours!"

Uri raised his head to look at him and tilted his head down again.

Kenny sighed and walked closer to him.

"How did ya even climb up here all on ya own?"

Uri shrugged silently.

Kenny sighed and sat down near him.

"Bad visions again, huh?"

Uri nodded.

"Wanna talk 'bout it?"

Uri shook his head and kept facing his lap.

They sat there for a few minutes.

"It's gettin' dark. Let's go home."

Uri glanced at him and sighed.

"Are you SERİOUS!"

Uri nodded silently with his head still hung low.

Kenny shook his head amd handed the lamp to him. Then he quickly raised him in his arms bridal style.

"Ya lost weight 'gain."

Uri simply leaned himself on Kenny' s chest.

"Ya really needta eat more. 'Kay?"

Uri didn't give any reaction.

"How many times do I have ta tell ya, don't wander off on your own. Ya're always makin' me carry ya."

Again, no response.

"I hate ya sometimes."

Silence.

"One of these days, am gonna quit. Then ya'll be wolf food."

"You would never leave me..."

Uri murmured against his chest.

"Am droppin' ya now."

Uri wrapped his arms tighter around his neck and Kenny chıckled as he turned to walk towaards their house in the distance.

A few minutes later, he tucked Uri in the bed after washing his face, hands and feet in the bathroom and giving him some of his favorite tea.

He murmured to himself after closing the bedroom door.

"'Course am not gonna leave ya, ya brat."
