"Percy! How are you? I'm Aldora, and I'll be training you today." I greeted the green-eyed boy with a smile, one that could make boys' hearts flutter.
"Um, okay." He said awkwardly.
"Come with me, I have something for you." I said, and pulled him to my cabin, which was slightly a mess, due to the last visit with Annabeth.
I opened the chest at the foot of my queen-sized bed, searching for the sword. Chiron had told me I would know when to use it, and I know now. He claims that all of the other swords just aren't balanced. "Here it is!" I exclaimed, thrusting the pen into the air.
"A. . . pen?" He asked, giving a look of confusion towards me.
"Yes, a pen. But it doesn't write." I smirk.
"A broken pen?"
I nod, "Go on, uncap it."
He held the pen and slowly uncapped it. The pen grew, now a sword. "A broken pen, huh? How broken is this?" He asks.
I smile, happy that he has it.
"just a little bit."
"I think I'm ready to train now."
"Percy, no, you have to swing to the left, then up. Like this." I showed him how to do the move.
He tried to copy my actions, but got mixed up, again, for the billionth time. Annabeth said he was probably the guy to help us get out of this camp and into the real world. So far, he's not showing any improvements. "Okay, I can see that this isn't working." I sighed, "Just take a quick break."
"Aldora!" I flipped my head around just in time to see Clarisse lifting the newbie off of the ground.
"Clarisse! Drop him, he's not a toy!" I demanded. We were training partners, sure, but we weren't exactly besties forevs.
"No, he humiliated me." She said.
"You do that when we're training. At least, that's what most of your cabin-mates say." I smirk, pulling her attention to me.
She finally dropped Percy, who landed to the ground with a thud. He rubbed his arm, then stood. Clarisse's sisters stepped forward, holding Percy still. "What? You're actually going to fight me and embarrass yourself again?" I asked.
Now, she was fuming. "Not cool, princess. Not cool." She lunged with her sword and I simply side –stepped from the blow.
She whipped around and lunged again, but this time her sword hit me in the leg. "Nice job. But now, I'm going to show you how a real warrior does it." I said, then brought my sword down on her arm, leaving a deep gash. I hit her hard enough for that arm to be useless for a week. Good aim, too. I got her in her sword-holding arm.
She cursed, then told her sisters to get me. "Run!" I yelled to Percy, grabbing his arm and making a fast dash for it.
We got chased for a while until we reached the cabin at the end. "In here." Percy said, pulling me through the door. He slammed it shut, and locked it.
I slowed my breath from panting to normal pace, then checked my leg. Blood was flowing quickly, I needed to bandage it. "Wait a second, I know what to do for that." The raven-haired boy brought me into the bathroom, where he turned the tap on.
"What? We're just going to rinse it? Hate to break it to you, but it won't work. We need to bandage it." I told him, and he shook his head.
"Just wet it. It'll be better, I promise." He assured me, cupping some water in his hands. Surprisingly, the water remained in his palms, not leaking. The next thing that happened, almost freaked me out, if I hadn't grown up with Greek myths around me. He somehow controlled the water to surround my wound. I don't know how, but he did.
I had a strange feeling about him, and I wasn't quite sure whether it was good or bad.
