Eevee: In the last chapter, I woke up Josh!
Me: I got injured trying to save her Relic Fragment,
Eevee: And now we're getting it back!
Chapter 2: Because I Can
"OK, Eevee, how long have we been in here?"
My paws were practically dragging across the ground (which was not a good thing, since the ground was rock). "About fifty minutes." Eevee replied. I stared at her. "Why don't you have a map?" "I DO." She held up the paper she had been filling out. I sighed. "We've been everywhere expect f- There! The stairs!" I yelled, before nearly rushing in, when Eevee stopped me. "Watch out! That's a Monster House, idiot!" I stared at her. "What's a Monster House?" Eevee blinked. "You seem to have been here at least SOME time before I found you, so I think you might know." I tried to remember if I did. Still nothing. I closed my eyes and tried harder. Nothing. Just nothing. Nothing but my name. I shook my head, a tear tracing down my face. "Hey, what's wrong?" Eevee asked. I looked at her before sitting down, my bright gold eyes facing down.
Eevee's POV
I sat down next to Josh, confused. "Have you ever had amnesia?" He asked me. I tilted my head but answered. "No. Why?" He looked up at me, before lightly tapping his forehead. "Wait... YOU have amnesia?" He nodded. "Oh... Buddy, I'm sorry. Sh-Should we just keep going?" He nodded again. We stood up. "Wait... Oh yeah, Monster House... A Monster House is where a bunch of enemies drop from the ceiling. I can see it's a Monster House because of the fact that there's no ceiling." "Wait... Oh crud." "What?" "We're IN the Monster House." I looked up. "Then why are no en-" Josh placed his paw over my mouth. "Don't jinx it!" We walked to the stairs, cautiously looking left and right every step to make sure no enemies spawned. We then ran down the stairs.

I looked up from the stairs to be smacked by a Water Gun to the face. Josh and I sighed, before he used a Thunderbolt to defeat the enemy. Afterwards, we looked behind where the Pokemon was and- guess what? -the stairs were right there! We walked up the stairs.

I was confused for a second, before realizing that we had landed on the stairs and fell to the next level. Sighing, I got up and began to look for the stairs. "Help..?" A muffled voice said. I looked beside me to see Josh with his face stuck in the floor. Laughing, I pulled him out of the ground. The rest of the floor went rather uneventful.

Josh's POV
We walked forward. "Um... Hey!" Eevee yelled at the two Pokemon in front of us. They turned around. "Well if it isn't our friend, the big ch-" I tacked him. "Don't you DARE call my friend a chicken again!" Koffing seemed to be scared. The stone knocked out of his grasp and Zubat grabbed it. I jumped on him and bit him, before leaping down and grabbing the stone they dropped. Then, for a little extra measure, I used the Blast Seed I picked up earlier on both of them. I walked away. "Thank you," I said, before exiting the cave.
Beach, Josh's POV
"That... was... awesome!" Eevee yelled as we exited the cave. "Fangirl much?" I asked, joking. She stared at me. "What?" "What's a fangirl?" I face... palmed? Facepawed? Whatever. "Nevermind. Anyways, what was that stone you wanted to get back?" "This?" She asked, holding out the stone. "This is my Relic Fragment. Well, that's what I call it. See that pattern on the top? That makes me think it has something to do with some sort of adventurous mystery thingy! Eventually, even if it takes thirteen years, I WILL figure out where it goes!" I shivered "Seriously? Thirteen?" "Anyways, that brings me to my dream. I've always wanted to go on adventures! Find gold, diamonds, slt!" "What's 'slt'?" "Stuff like that! 'nuff said, I already tried to go to the guild, but..." She looked saddened. "...I was too cowardly. But, after that, I was thinking that I might be a little braver with you." I knew where this was going. "So, um, can we, please, form an Exploration Team? Pleeaaaase?" I considered my options. I knew nothing about myself, except for my name, I had no idea what my past was, there was nobody else I knew here. I sighed. "It might be a little better if you tell me what an 'Exploration Team' is, first." "Oh. Yeah." Eevee nearly smacked herself, but I stopped her. "An Exploration Team is where you go out and explore in dungeons! Sometimes you have to save people, sometimes you have to find a dropped item, sometimes you have to do a lot more!" I was content with explanation and sat down to think. 'So... She wants me to help her find her dream. That's... Okay, I guess. And this Exploration Team thingy does sound fun... It might be a lot of work, but I think I can deal with it. And she sounds so desperate... I don't think I want to make her sad. Alright, I'll go.' I looked up at Eevee. "Well?" "I'll join." "Wait, really?!" I nodded. She tackled me to the ground. "ThankyouthankyouTHANKYOU!" I sweatdropped. "Uh... Can you please get off me?" She quickly got off of me, letting me up, while apologizing constantly. I shook my head. "Nah, it's fine. I can understand how excited you were." She motioned for me to follow here. "The guild's this way! C'mon!" As we ran off, I looked towards the setting sun. 'Someday... Someone might explore there!' I thought. 'What if that is us? We'd be the first...' I smiled, something seemed right in my mind about what I was thinking.

Me: No, the story isn't over just because I thought the name of the game. It's only over when I type fin.
Eevee: You just typed it!
Me: Fine, the SECOND time I type it.
Eevee: Yay!
