Dewey's pov
We hear knocking and the door and all freeze.
"Lou, your creature friends!" I gasp.
Louie whispers something to them and they all start to panic.
Louie starts freaking out that he can't get the creatures under control.
He hides his face in his hands.
"HELLO!" Ray pops her head into the room.
Is and Louie stay in the bathroom so they can try and control the animals while Huey and I step out to talk to Raven.
"Cool! You're dirty!" Raven exclaims.
I give her my signature grin and thumbs up.
"You coming down for dinner?! I wanna have a food fight!" Raven tells me.
"Maybe later." Huey frowns.
"Where's Is? And what was that bang noise?" Raven asks.
"Some crashes in the bathroom." I shrug.
"What caused them?" She says with Doofus level creepiness.
"Definitely not any sort of creatures Louie has summoned with any sort of Earth and nature powers he has." Huey fails at lying.
I facepalm.
"You're silly." Raven laughs.
Oh good.
She thinks it's just a joke.
"Let's go downstairs to dinner now! I'm hungry!" Raven grabs my hand and starts dragging me downstairs.
Once we arrive, we see Is and Louie already there.
Is winks at me and Louie just gives me that same, cocky smirk.
I rush over and pounce on Louie who starts laughing.
Beakly gives us a glare that tells us to behave in front of the guests.
I sit beside Louie and we start discreetly mocking Beakly.
"I'm going to kill you if you don't set the table right." Louie shakes his finger at me, still imitating Beakly.
"No no no! Don't bring your shoes inside! Leave them at the door and I will sanitize them put them away properly in your room! We don't want another incident where a muddy shoe randomly ends up in our dinner!" I attempt at Beakly's voice.
Then Louie and I both give each other a glare that mocks Beakly.
We burst out laughing and then see everyone staring at us.
Louie pulls up his hood to hide his blush.
"Dewey and Is, please trade spots." Mrs. Beakly demands.
Is looks happy because they get to move from sitting by Raven.
I have to go sit by Raven, unfortunately.
"Hello, Dewey! Wanna play a game?! I wanna play 'Peter, Peter, Paul, Paul!' Can we? Can we? Can we?" Raven begs.
I groan.
Raven starts clapping to the beat of the game to start it.
"Peter, Peter, Paul, Paul." She says.
I clap along and reply, "Paul, Paul, Peter, Peter."
"Peter, Peter, Paul, Paul." Raven giggles.
How can we play this game with only two people?
We need at least three.
"Paul, Paul, Peter, Peter." I sigh because there's no one else to call on.
"Peter, Peter, Paul, Paul." Raven yells.
"Ooh! You're playing that game? Can I play?" Huey asks.
"Please do. So Ray is Peter, I am Paul, so you are 1." I call us off.
We start the clapping again and Raven shouts, "Peter, Peter, Paul, Paul!"
"Paul, Paul, 1, 1." I call on Huey.
"1, 1, Peter, Peter." Huey exclaims.
"Ooh! I love that game! Can we play?" Louie asks.
"Ok! Lou Lou, your 2 2." I laugh.
He rolls his eyes.
"Is, you're 3." Huey gives Is their number.
"We're bringing back youth camp games!" Louie cheers.
"Start us off, Ray, with the only thing you can say!" I rhyme.
Everyone groans but Raven.
"Peter, Peter, Paul, Paul." Ray claps to the beat.
"Paul, Paul, 3, 3." I call Is.
"3, 3, 1, 1." Is looks to Huey.
1, 1, Paul, Paul." Huey calls me.
"Paul, Paul, Peter, Peter." I smirk at Raven.
"Peter, Peter, Paul, Paul." Ray fake-frowns.
"Paul, Paul, Lou, Lou." I call on Louie.
"You can't say that! You have to be 3 now! I'm 2! You said Lou Lou!" Louie laughs.
Aww man.
I did say that.
I groan and go to the end.
"So Raven is Peter, I am Paul, Louie is 1, Is is 2 and Dewey is 3." Huey counts us off.
"Let's make Raven mess up so we can have a new Peter!" I cheer.
"Nuh uh. Is taught me this game a while ago and I've been practicing since!" Raven grins.
"Ooh! This game looks fun! How do I play?!" Webby asks is.
"Your number is 4. Whenever someone says their number or exceptions for Peter and Paul, you say your number twice to the beat and the call another number, Peter or Paul twice after your number to the beat. Peter sets the beat by patting the table twice and then clapping twice. If you break the beat or mess up your words, you are out. Peter can only call on Paul, but you can call on anyone. Go!" I say.
We play a few more rounds before the adults join in and we all play.
"1, 1, 8, 8." I call.
"8, 8, Peter, Peter." Dad finally doesn't mess up.
"...Peter, Peter..." Raven accidentally messes up the beat.
"Yay! Raven finally isn't Peter!" I cheer.
"Now I'm Peter!" Huey exclaims.
"No one is Peter because food is ready." Beakly tells us.
"Aww." Raven pouts.
We all get served a make-your-own taco plate.
I all of a sudden hear a cry from Louie.
He's now screaming and sobbing while Huey is on the verge of tears while apologizing over and over.
Uh oh.
Everyone runs over and crowds around Louie.
I shove in the middle though.
"What happened? Huey's powers?" I whisper.
Louie nods and shows me his newly burnt hand.
I pull Huey and Louie out of the room and into a small closet.
"I'm going to help a bit. Uncle Scrooge will heal you completely later. This will sooth it for now though." I tell Louie.
"I'm sorry, Louie. I can't control it." Huey bows his head in shame.
"I forgive you." Louie says with a sad smile.
I take hold of Louie's hurt hand and blow a bit of my freeze breath onto his hand.
He sighs happily and closes his eyes.
Louie then leans onto my shoulder as I continue to blow my freeze breath onto his hurt hand.
"How can you control your powers, Dewey? You are crazy!" Huey exclaims.
"It's natural. Whenever your powers decide to click, they will become under control. Don't worry about it." I assure Huey before blowing some more freeze breath on Louie's hand.
Of course he's asleep now though.
"It's not ok though. I have to worry. I'm going to get someone killed." Huey sighs.
"We can't bandage Lou Lou's hand right because we don't want to seem like it randomly healed or something when Uncle Scrooge heals it." I ignore Huey.
Huey nods and puts away the bandages he had just pulled out.
I lift Louie into my arms and we exit the closet the lay him down in our room.
"Wanna go back to dinner?" I offer.
"I guess. I have to stay with you anyways." Huey sighs and follows me to dinner.
We see everyone is finished and all the plates are cleared.
They are now playing Peter, Peter, Paul, Paul.
"1, 1, 8, 8." Webby chants.
"8, 8, 9, 9." Dad says.
Everyone laughs and tells him there is no 9.
So maybe there's no dinner, but there is a great game!
"Join me in! Huey too!" I shout.
We play a bunch of the game before Beakly shoos us out and brings us triplets some more taco stuff.
Huey and I carry the tray back to our room and see Louie sitting up in bed practicing singing with some headphones in.
Huey and I put the tray on a bedside-table in our room and we watch and listen to Louie.
Louie has his eyes shut and he starts pretty much preforming this whole thing like a concert.
Huey and I gasp as he uses his powers to create a mic out of nature power stuff.
Louie preforms his wonderful song and soon comes to an end.
Huey and I start cheering and clapping.
"Guys?! What are you doing here?!" Louie gasps while blushing.
"We came to bring you some food and we saw all this! It's so cool!" Huey explains.
Louie pulls up his hood but grins sheepishly.
"It's ok, Lou Lou! You don't have to hide from us." I say, pulling down Louie's hood for him.
Louie turns his head to the side and looks down, still acting shy.
"Really?! You are like never shy! Come on, Lou!" Huey huffs.
Louie laughs and turns to face the tacos.
We all sit around the small table in our room to eat them and talk a bit.
"I don't want anymore." Louie pushes his away.
He then lays across my lap.
I shrug and finish my tacos before eating Louie's as well.
"Wow." Huey raises his eyebrows as I finally finish all the food.
"I was hungry. Now I'm not." I simply reply.
"Up, Lou Lou." I tell him.
Louie whines but sits up.
I get off my chair just in time to hear a knock at the door.
I open our bedroom door revealing Is.
"Hey." I greet Is.
"Hello! I wanted to hangout with the people my age. Is that ok?" Is asks.
"Sure! Huey, Louie, and I have just finished eating!" I tell Is.
Is nods and sits down in a beanbag chair in our room.
"I'm sorta lactose intolerant. It's hard to eat things that won't make my stomach upset." Is explains.
"Louie too! We all just don't take in a lot of lactose though because it's healthier not to." Huey points out.
Is nods.
Louie goes and lays down on my bunk bed.
Why?
I don't know.
"Did you understand Peter, Peter, Paul, Paul very well? It's sorta hard to." I admit.
"Yeah. I was the one that taught Raven that game. I learned it my first year at my church's Winter retreat. It's sorta hard to explain to new people though. Especially when writing." Is implies while winking at the readers.
"We are just going to consider every time someone breaks the 4th wall normal, right?" Huey tries to clarify.
"Yeah. Sure. Whatever." Louie shrugs while we all agree.
"So what can we do about Raven? Just play plenty of Peter, Peter, Paul, Paul? Ooh! Maybe teach her the Spanish version! We have to use an accent though!" Louie giggles.
I start tickling him a bit because he's adorable when he does his cute little giggle.
"Stop that, Dewey." Huey scolds, playfully.
Is just smiles at the scene.
I can tell Is feels left out.
I guess Louie can too, because he goes to sit by Is.
Is ruffles Louie's hair and then says, "Y'all, we should setup a powers playground! Like a place where we can experiment with our powers and no one knows, and it's totally safe. I only called it powers playground because it sounds cool. I'm all about alliteration."
Louie nods and high fives Is.
"So let's do that! It's been Peter, Peter, Paul, Paul, since you've got here! Let's risk it! Let's do something awesome with our powers! I want to make a Winter wonderland!" I exclaim.
"I want to play with the creatures and see what all I can do. Nature has lots of cool powers." Louie says.
"I guess it would be great to have a place where I couldn't hurt too many people or damage very much." Huey nods.
"Perfect! It will be great to see what stupid air does outside too. I haven't gotten to use it much because my family doesn't have powers like me. You know. The whole hiding thing." Is sighs.
"Well air is pretty cool..." I trail off as Is gives me a death stare.
Is just means stop lying.
"Air can make me sorta fly, and I can do telekinesis. Helpful for laziness, but I never get to use my powers. I mean, I think I can make things invisible. You know, like disappear into thin AIR." Is emphasizes.
"That's cool! See? You can do cool things." I tell Is.
"I guess I can make a tornado thing too, but when is that helpful?" Is asks.
"For drilling underground." Huey grins.
We laugh.
"Whatever. I guess that would make a great hiding place." Is smirks.
"Well you just said that so now you can't hide there with us! Good job, Is." Louie teases.
Is rolls their eyes and shoves Louie playfully.
Louie whispers something to Is making me feel a pang of jealousy.
He normally whispers with me!
Huey sees this and teases me a bit.
I push Huey away and frown.
I look over and see Louie showing Is something on his phone.
They literally have the same phone case and name for their phones.
It's getting ridiculous.
"What's so funny on the phone?" I ask.
"Nothing!" Louie and Is immediately pull both their phones to their chests.
I sigh and walk away.
Will Louie become closer with Is than me?

Hey! I'm so sorry I haven't been on this site much! I've been so busy with camps and being a camp counselor lately, that whenever I have time, I really only focused on transferring my stories here onto Wattpad. I joined that side and love it too. It's great! I'm JesusLoverLife7 there! It's a bit hard to get people to read though. I like his site a lot too. So I'm sorry again about that. I should have some time tomorrow to catch up maybe. Reviews are very much appreciated! Thank for reading!
