Chapter 2. I'm sorry it took so long (and that it's so short), but i had to be finished with some rather major projects at school so my time had to be prioritized. I still intend to keep my promise to upload at least once a week (and make the future chapters longer). and since i have a one-week break now, i can continue the story faster. (Chapter 3 is already twice as long as this)

One more thing i want to adress is that Luffy knows one of the six powers, geppo (Or skywalk). this is the only one he will know, as his base max speed outmaches Soru, so ther eis no need for him to know that technique.

Secondly, Yes, i intend to expand the crew. i have two people in mind right now that i want to have on board

Nojiko (Nami's Sister)

Gin (part of the Don Krieg prates)

Please tell me if you have other requests as well. i don't want it to be too many newcommers however, and there is a few i have decided i won't include like Alvida, Johnny and Yosaku.

Thirdly: There will be OC (Own Characters), but not in the sense where i try to put myself in the story (because i will NEVER do that). these OC characters will be introduced much later in the story, and they won't be a part of the main crew (this story is still focused around Luffy)

And lastly, i will probably come up with a few devil fruit powers of my own, that (at least currently) don't exists in the main series.

Disclaimer: I Do Not Own One Piece.

After getting his thoughts together, Luffy got out of the bed. The watch on the wall read 11:45 A.M. He planned to leave at 13:PM, giving him time to meet Dadan again, and pay a special location a visit before he left.

He just managed to throw a plain black T-shirt over his Body before the bedroom door opened.

"Luffy, are you awake sweetie?"

Luffy turned and faced the door faster than the eye could blink, all his plans got pushed the corner furthest back in his brain, and all his focus went to the person coming through the door. Luffy might have been a bit too excited, because he accidentally activated his observation Haki to the max of its ability, and saw the person coming through the door a few seconds earlier than she really did, which was the reason for Luffy's next clumsy action

Without realizing that he had seen the future, Luffy dashed towards the door, his mind expecting the person to already be in the room, and since the person hadn't gotten that far yet, he crashed into the wall instead in a very comedy-style way.

"Luffy! Are you okay?" the voice of the person who still stood in the doorway asked in a concerned tone, as Luffy slid down the wall and hit the floor, but he wasted no time getting up again, and stared the person he had been dying to meet for so long

"Makino!" Luffy shouted, and in a split second he went from lying on the floor to hugging her. These actions caught Makino off-guard, but she hugged him back nevertheless.

"What's the matter Luffy? You act like you haven't seen me in ages." She chuckled, as she let go of the boy, who reluctantly let go as well. Little did she know that this was true, but Luffy wouldn't tell her that.

"Well... uh... I had a terrible nightmare which seemed so real... so I'm just happy it was a dream!" He lied, trying to find a good excuse for his actions.

Makino saw through the lie almost before Luffy could tell it, but she chose not to question it further. After all, today was Luffy's big day, and she didn't want to ruin it for him in any sort of way, and as his most supporting person on this planet she had a duty to make sure he was happy on his departure to become a great pirate.

"Must have been some nightmare, but don't worry, I am here and I'm safe and sound. Now why don't we go down and get some breakfast?" She asked in her usual sweet tone, which Luffy more than agreed on, as his belly started to rumble loudly at the mention of breakfast.

Makino laughed light-heartedly at the response she got as the two made their way down to the first floor of the bar, where Makino entered the kitchen, and Luffy sat down at his private barstool in the dining room.

As he sat down. He took a moment and looked around the room from his chair. It looked just like he remembered it. And it gave him all sorts of flashbacks, from all the times he came running in here crying, while hiding from Garp, and all the way to his fist encounter with Shanks and his crew. He remembered eating his devil-fruit, and how those mountain bandits had made a mockery of Shanks by spilling alcohol on him. Back then, he had wanted Shanks to fight back, but now he understood why he didn't. It wasn't worth the trouble to fight those bandits.

His daydreaming came to an end when a plate of food and a glass of water was put on the bar counter behind him.

"Eat up, you can't start you journey on an empty stomach after all."

After finishing breakfast, Luffy exited the bar, and took a minute just to look at the peaceful Fossha Village. Not a single detail missed from his memory. Everything was as he remembered it, obviously, since he had gone back in time nothing would have changed. But it was still weird.

He then looked at the sky, and saw the sun stand high. It was almost time for him to leave, but there was one last thing he wanted to do before.

Without a second thought, Luffy headed for the mountain of Dawn island. Mt. Colubo, where his adopted family lived. A band of annoying mountain bandits, who despite their nature, had always been there for Luffy when he needed them.

*Dadan, I almost can't wait to see you again*

(At the forest on the mountain)

Luffy got to his destination in no time at all. He had been jumping from tree to tree, instinctively doing flips and keeping his momentum. These movements were ingrained in his skull, and so was the entire forest. Every big tree, every path and shortcut, he didn't need Haki in any way, shape or form to make his way to his destination. An opening in the forest, revealing a big wooden house with a watchtower on top.

Luffy stopped and took a good look at the house where he had grown up. All the memories he had from here all came back to him, all at once. The good ones, like befriending Ace and Sabo, and eventually becoming brothers. Learning to fight and becoming much stronger than he could have ever imagined becoming on his own. But there were the bad ones as well. Like the Grey terminal fire, and the loss of Sabo…

Suddenly, it hit him, and even if he already knew, it was still a shock to him. Sabo was alive, he had always been alive, and was currently with the revolutionary army.

Ace was also alive… and a part of the Whitebeard Pirates.

Luffy almost fell to his knees, these weird feelings of relief were almost too much for him, it almost didn't seem real, but he knew it was, and he had no time to waste. He was at least 10 times as strong now as he had been when he started his journey in his previous timeline. He knew for a fact that he could topple any threat in the east blue with the bare minimal of effort, but was he strong enough to make a difference to his new journey? to manage to save his crew and Ace from death? Or could he even save Ace from being captured in the first place?

Luffy shook his head, clearing his mind. He could dwell on all of this when he got out to sea, but for now, he had one thing to do.

Not wasting another second, he approached the entrance to the big shack, where he could see multiple people sitting in a circle, with their back against him. Three of these figures stood out. One was short with a turban on his head. The other was a rather tall man with the appearance of a chicken.

But it was the bulky person sitting between these two who meant the most to Luffy. She had long messy orange hair, a big, loose white blouse, and sported a big necklace made from red pearls, and she had a smoke in her mouth. She was Dadan, his other adoptive mother, who had taken care of him and Ace when the grew up.

Luffy stared at them for a moment. He really wanted nothing more than to tackle them all in a big hug and tell them how much he had missed them, but he knew that he couldn't do that, because for them, and for the rest of the world, he was a nobody, he had never gone to sea before.

That was all going to change very soon. He was ready to flip the world upside-down and show them a storm powerful enough to rival Gol D. Roger himself. And this time, he wouldn't be as naïve as he had once been. He couldn't be. If he were to succeed this time, he would have to act much more like a serious captain. He might be playful and funny, but in no way could he be to careless again, unless the situation had no other options.

He had a lot to do differently, but he also had a plan for it.

Snapping out of his daydreaming, Luffy purposely coughed to get the mountain bandits attention. Most of them turned around to face Luffy. While Dadan just rose her head slightly

"What do you want squirt?" she asked. Even if she tried her best to show no emotion, Luffy could clearly make out the sad tones, something that made him smile.

"Come on Dadan, I'm leaving now! Don't you want to see me off?" he asked.

"Eeeeh? We will just scare the villagers away" Dadan replied, trying her hardest to dismiss him so she could finally let her emotions go.

"Oh, okay then. But know this, I really hate mountain bandits" Luffy answered while turning around, facing the forest.

"WHY YOU BRAT! I WILL…" Dadan started in a comically angry tone, but she was quickly interrupted by Luffy, who turned his head again to face the entrance of the giant hut.

"But I really love you guys, especially you Dadan. Thanks for sticking up with me after all this time and being the mother I never had!"

This was too much for Dadan, who drew a tissue from her blouse and started crying like crazy, along with the rest of the mountain bandits

"Why you brat! Get lost already! Don't stand there and say such stupid things!"

Luffy just smiled, knowing that Dadan really cared for him.

FWHOOM

And so, Luffy was gone, his speed was so great that he seemingly disappeared, and only the noises of him jumping from tree to tree could be heard.

(Back at Fossha Village – an Hour later)

Luffy stood in the same small rowboat which he had started in last time as well. The same barrel of fruit behind him, and the same view of all the citizens of Fossha Village, who stood at the dock to see him off in front of him, and behind the nearest buildings, stood Dadan and her mountain bandits, staring at Luffy with tears in their eyes. They were going to miss the little troublemaker just as much as they had missed Ace when he left.

"Say Luffy? Why don't you take my old fishing boat instead? This scrap of wood won't hold for too long" one of the local fishers offered. But Luffy politely declined the offer, saying that he wanted this to be his start boat. It was also because he knew of the giant Whirlpool that swallowed him and his boat last time, so it wouldn't have mattered anyways. Not that he dared to say the last part out loud, knowing Makino would never let him set sail then.

The fisher and the rest of the villagers just chuckled at the statement. They knew Luffy would be fine either way.

"Well, I'm off now!" Luffy said, as he untied the docking rope from the boat, and used one of the oars to push the boat away from the dock. Luckily, the tide was in his favor, so he didn't have to row to much. And could therefore wave back at the villagers who shouted goodbyes and waved at him.

Suddenly, Luffy's eyes turned red, and his expression went from happy to mildly serious, all while he turned around and stretched his hand backwards, just as a giant sea-king popped out of the water, but it had no time to do anything before Luffy sent his fist in it's cheek so hard, all of it's teeth shattered, and the sea-king itself was flung so far you could barely see it.

"Gum-Gum Pistol!"

Luffy's hand retracted with a snapping sound, while his other steadied his hat. While he hadn't seen the future directly, he had felt its presence and predictable pattern so much that it barely made a difference. It also helped on the fact that he knew it was coming to attack him.

It was then he noticed the cheers he was getting from the villagers, who had seen all this, and was now applauding Luffy

"You get the idea, stupid fish? Don't bother me or the villagers ever again!" Luffy shouted in the direction where he had sent the Sea-King flying.

Luffy sat back down in his boat and started paddling. The ocean waves were in his favor, and soon, Dawn Island was almost gone from his view, barely, barely visible for his eyes, even if his Haki picked it up easily.

"Right, now I need to plan a few things out" He said out loud, as if expecting someone else to listen to him.

"I'll take the same route as I did last time. I must rescue Coby from that fat lady, was it Alvida? Eh, don't matter. Then, I need to meet up with Zoro and make him join the crew, then we will go to Nami, and get her. I also get to punch Buggy in the face again. As for anything else, it will have to come as we move along. I also need to start training my crew a bit, even if they are strong on their own, there is nothing wrong with being a bit stronger. Also, I should probably investigate in having more people on the crew, but I don't want just anybody to join either. I guess we will cross that bridge when it comes to it"

Luffy was happy with his plan. It wasn't too complicated, and it wasn't an exact gamechanger in his early adventure, but he had no doubt it would pay off later.

Just as he was done talking to himself about the plan, a familiar sound reached his ears, and seconds later, his boat was pulled out of course, and put on a new one

One to the center of the almost unnaturally big whirlpool just a few meters away.

Luffy starred at it for a little while. As much as he wanted to use sky-walk to get out of the boat safely, he still wanted to meet Coby again, and he risked that chance immediately if he went off on his own, as he did not know which direction the pirate ship was in.

"Fuck it" was Luffy's last words as he quickly ate all the food, and then climbed in the barrel he had with him.

This was going to be fun.

Hope it was fun to read, and please tell me if you have ideas you want to see, or have something i should change or fix.
