The three looked up at the Sub-Tals with dread
It was a small group of Talans out in the middle of nowhere, housing around thirty or so small families.
There were three smiling elleths to great the three,
"Suilad," said the first, "we are glad and honored by our presence, we hope that you will enjoy your stay with us and perhaps even decide to make this place your permanent home."
Mablung shrieked and started flapping his arms wildly,
Turin narrowed his eyes suspiciously and curtly thanked the elleth,
Beleg smiled half heartedly
The second woman grabbed Mablung by the arm, and the third grabbed Beleg and Turin
Mablung and Turin immediately jumped into combat mode and drew their swords.
Back to back, Turin glared at them and Mablung cried,
"Going to take us to your underground base, tie us to chair and force feed us your sweet nut cakes until we become one of you?"
"Release Beleg, now!" demanded Turin
Beleg laughed nervously as he inched away from the elleth that just released him of her iron grip.
"It's okay." said the Strongbow, not sounding entirely convinced.
The first woman spoke again,
"We mean to take you nowhere but your new home with us, I am Juudwen, this is Aedee, and Joowee."
Mablung raised his eyebrows, creepy names for creepy people he supposed.
The elleth did not lay hands on them again but brought them to a large talan for three.
Mablung was trying not to be too impressed with the superior condition of their new place of residence,
Turin however were more worried by the fact that Juudwen, Aedee, and Joowee were slipping what looked like small sweet sticky cakes into their half empty bags,
Beleg also saw this and got them to stop by thanking the three for their hospitable welcome, silently telling them that their work was done and that they could leave.
When the three elleths had left, smiling and waving all the while, Mablung sighed and collapsed on one of the three beds.
"It's nice, more than a third my size, and I'm not getting splinters"
Beleg and Turin shrugged at their friends extremely low expectations and unpacked what little they had brought with them, dumping the small cakes on the floor.
Mablung looked at the cakes on the floor in surprise,
"How'd they get here?"
Turin shrugged,
"Sub-Tal creepy magic I suppose."
The rest of the day was spent in near silence, Mablung was left to bask in clean clothes and the luxuries of a talan that was not in immediate danger of collapsing while Beleg and Turin went to patrol the boarders of the Sub-Tals.
