This story is based on My Heart Will Go On (the theme from Titanic). The song belongs to James Horner and Will Jennings, and although I don't believe she owns any part of it, it is certainly the signature song for Celine Dion. I've been told this story is "sappy." I'll buy that, but then the song (or at least how it was used in the movie) was pretty sappy, too, and come to think of it, not so different from how it's used here. You've been warned.

Meditation

She lit the candle and stared into the flame.

Every night in my dreams

I see you, I feel you,

That is how I know you go on

It was illogical. Her mind knew he was dead. Vulcans don't dream. Vulcans don't miss people.

Far across the distance

And spaces between us

You have come to show you go on

When it came to Trip, she knew she'd done a lot of things Vulcans don't usually do and that she would continue to do so.

You are safe in my heart

And my heart will go on and on.
