Lost Love

Vincent stared at Jeremy, it was kinda awkward. He never would of thought he'd see the person who he lost contact with so many years ago again. Not that he didn't enjoy Jeremy presents. It was nice! Nothing like Scotty's, Fritz, Mike's or Doge's. It was more calm and something else he could put his finger on.

"It has been awhile, 9-10 years right?" Jeremy started as he put the stuff that was in his hands in the basket that was behind him. Vince nodded and put his item in the cart as well beside him before leaning against it and smiling at Jeremy.

"Of course. We lost contact in grade 6 did we not?" Vince stated as Jeremy looked around and pulled something else off the shelves. Jeremy looked back at Vincent, his blue eyes connected with Vince's pale grey eyes. Jeremy smiled back at him, "Grade 6.. You moved away didn't you?"

Vince nodded and shrugged a bit as he continued to lean against the cart, "Yeah.. Parent's died and i went to live with my aunt and uncle" Vincent lied to Jeremy. His parent's didn't move because they didn't like the town. They died and he was sent to an orphanage in another town over, and his aunt and uncle lived on the other side of the world, so that wouldn't of worked for him at all.. He never had the chance to tell Jeremy, or anyone actually. He just.. moved to the town. Social services had taken him away. But that's where he met Mike and Pg..

Jeremy gave him a sadden look, "You know we all thought you died.." Jeremy chuckled a bit and looked down at his hands. "2 weeks rumors spread around the school, and the principle finally had enough and told us that your parents died and you were sent across town...I'm so sorry.."

Vincent gave a small shrug, "Nah. Its fine. Its not like they actually paid much attention to me." He gave a small chuckle. "Besides living with my Aunt and Uncle were awesome.." He winced slightly at his lie, but keep a smile on his face for Jeremy. He felt.. bad.. for lieing to Jeremy like that, but it was better then telling the truth. This was the lie he told everyone.. Expect Scott and Mike who know the whole truth to his parents death and where he lived.

Jeremy gave him a smile and leaned back a bit, "That's.. thats great Vincent.." Jeremy pulled out his phone and scratched the back of his head, "Hey. I have to go soon.. My job starts in a bit." Vincent nodded and patted Jeremy's back, and turned to grab his cart and walk away.

"Hey wait. Here" Vincent turned around to see a piece of paper in his face, "Text or ring me anytime you have time.." Jeremy said. Vincent blinked and broke out into a smile and took the piece of paper from Jeremys hand.

"I'll see what I could do."

OoOoOoO

Vincent watched Jeremy leave and he sighed a bit as he turned back to the shelves and picked up a nice grey color. His eyes brightened a lot and he placed it into the basket. He looked at the prices and nodded. He had enough money to grab some other supplies he may need, and to grab some food to stalk in his room for the long hours up there.

He sighed softly to himself as he walked down the aisle of the store. His mind started to wonder off to Jeremy again. He knew Jeremy would never forgive him if he knew that he lied to him but he couldn't say anything about it. He didn't know much about the kid anymore. Its been 10 god damn years since he's seen him and there wasn't much he knew about him now. He only knew about the 12 year old Jeremy. Not 22 year old Jeremy.

He sighed and banged his hand against his head. He needed to stop pondering about this so much. He'll just get to know him again, because he wants another friend, and Jeremy might be the best way for him to get his mind off Mike. Now that he thought about it, he would be using Jeremy to forget about his love for Mike..

He shook his head and just made his way over to the cashier. He's not going to use Jeremy. No way. That'd.. Jeremy would just hate him.. Oh why was he thinking like this?! He doesn't even now Jeremy as well as he did back then. That was the past, this was the present! Get some sense Vince! You are not going to use Jeremy for your own purpose to forget about Mike. He has his own soul and body, you will just have to get over it yourself! He thought to himself.

He got in line, and soon payed for his items and left the store, still pondering about Jeremy. He gave out a sigh and stuffed his hand into his pocket and smiled slightly at the feel of the paper. He may not be able to use Jeremy to get his mind off Mike, but he defiantly could use another friend.

He took the bags and through them into the backseat as he started up his car. His heart was pounding, and he knew he was excited. He was going to have his lost friend back again! Laughing to himself, he plugged in his phone and turned on some music. Not once on the way back to the home he shared, did he think of Mike.

OoOoOoO

The minute he got home, he bounded up the stairs and into his room. He felt a 2 pair of green eyes trail him as he ran up the stairs excitedly, but he didn't care. His grin was wide and he was bouncing around in his room. He placed the bags down near his work station and pulled out his phone and the piece of paper.

xxx-xxx-xxx (You come up with the number x3)
Call me or text me -Jeremy

He bit his lip and stared at the number, and sat down on his bed and oulled up contacts. He added Jeremy's phone number inside it and he continue to sit there for a bit. Minutes later he took a deep breath and just texted him.

Hey, its me.. Vincent
-Purple

He stared at the nickname everyone gave him. His favorite color was purple and they continued to call him that.. he soon got sick of it and threated anyone that continued to call him that, that he'll punch then in the crotch area. He sighed a bit and laid on his back and threw his phone beside him. The wedding clothings can wait... He's got all night to do that.

Minutes later of staring up at the ceiling which was covered in art designs, he felt his phone vibrate and he quickly grabbed his phone and looked at the screen. He sucked in a breath when he say Jeremy's reply.

Thought you hated that nickname, Purple.. :P
-Jere

Vincent laughed and shook his head as he texted him back. He rolled onto is stomach and huffed when the air was knocked out of him.

Of course I hate that nickname, it just gets everyone confused when I use it in text.. hehe
-Purple

The reply this time was quicker then the last one. His smiled brightened a lot and he rested his cheek against his arm as he read the message.

I guess that works... lol.. I never got to ask.. but what is your job anyways?
-Jere

He rolled his eyes. Same old Jeremy. Always curious of everything.

I'm a designer.. Meaning what your wearing could of been made by me~
-Purple

Oh really? You work for the Jens Fashion company?
-Jere

Of course! They hired me a year ago, they apparently adore my designs when I worked for a lower company, one that sold their own clothings in a store.
-Purple

There really nice! I'm actually wearing the sweater with the cookies on it right now
-Jere

Oh wait, didn't you say you had a job to go to? and what is your job?
-Vince

Yeah. I'm on the bus right now to my job.. Oh I just got here. I'll talk with you later Vince!
-Jere

Bye..
-Vince

Vince stared at his phone and was smiling silly at it. He chucked his phone onto his pillow and turned onto his back. He stared up at the designs he had made and sighed a bit. He rubbed his forehead and got up, making his way downstairs.

"Hey Vince!" He looked up at to see a pair of glasses and green eyes. He gave a snort and looked at him, "What do you want Fritz?"

"You seemed so excited when you ran up the stairs, what the hell was all that about?" he said and crossed his arms as Scott came up behind him. Vincent smiled and shrugged a bit, he looked at Scott and Fritz, tilting his head.

"Heh.. Its nothing. I was just... happy." Vincent said and stuffed his hands into his pocket. Scott rose a eyebrow at Vince a bit, "What happened at the store, Vincent." Vincent shrugged again and moved to the kitchen. He went to the fridge and pulled out a water bottle from the fridge.

Scott followed behind, ordering Fritz to stay behind. Vincent leaned against the counter as he opened the water bottle and stared at Scott as he came inside. "So what happened. It's just you and me now Vince."

Vincent gave out a sigh and put the bottle down, "I've told you about my friends before I moved to the orphanage haven't I?" Scott nodded and rose an eyebrow at him.

"And how goes this relate to you being so excited?"

"Well.. just think.."

Scott pondered on what Vince meant and crossed his arms as he looked at Vincent in a blank stare. His mind seemed to click when he thought about it enough.

"Who'd you meet?" he asked soon after a few minutes.

"The one named Jeremy." Vincent answered, crossing his arms a bit. Scott gave Vincent a sideways grin before shaking his head.

"Well good luck!" Vincent watched Scott leave. He gave a small smile and picked up the bottle water and ran upstairs. Vincent hadn't noticed Mike standing on the other side of the kitchen (where there was another way to get inside the kitchen), with his fist clenched together.

Doge frowned a bit as he came up from behind Mike and put her hand on his shoulder, "Hey.. Mike you okay? Is everything alright?" She asked him. All she got in reply was a sigh.

"Yeah. I'm okay.. but we might wanna keep an eye on Vincent for awhile.."

Doge frowned, but didn't question Mike at all. She watched him walk away and she followed behind him, "I'm going to find out whats wrong you know." Mike grunted and just ran down to the basement where the couple were playing mario cart.

OoOoOoO

Jeremy was actually a bit in shock when he saw Vincent. It's been so long since he last saw him and he missed his best friend. The only reason he was here at the store was because his father told him to get him some supplies, drop it off before he went to his apartment and got ready for his job.

He hated his father, but he knows that he'll just be yelled at if he doesn't do the task his father told him to do. He should've just moved far away from here, but that's no use because his father would always find him.

His blue eyes looked up at the pale grey eyes and he gave Vincent a smile. "It has been awhile, 9-10 years right?" he asked him. He turned around and put the items in his hand and the items from Vincent into the basket that was behind him. He turned back around to see Vincent doing the same he had just done and leaned up against the cart.

"Of course. We lost contact in grade 6 did we not?" He heard Vincent say. Jeremy nodded and tilted his head to the side a bit. He always wondered why Vincent left, there were so many theories from his friends, but non of them he wanted to agree on.

"Grade 6... you moved away didn't you?" Vincent nodded and shrugged a bit and leaned more up against the cart. Jeremy watched him. He looked so different from the child back in grade 6.. The 12 year old Vincent was no more..

"Yeah.. Parent's died and i went to live with my aunt and uncle" He could hear the unsureness in his voice, but he left that alone. He knew Vincent's parents died as well.. The priniciple of his old school had the courage to actually say something after all the weird rumors spread through out the school.

"You know we all thought you died.." He started slowly, he watched for Vincent's reaction, but soon looked down at his hands, "2 weeks rumors spread around the school, and the principle finally had enough and told us that your parents died and you were sent across town...I'm so sorry.." His voice trailed off. He looked at Vincent who was looking back, he soon shrugged at him.

"Nah. Its fine. Its not like they actually paid much attention to me." A small chuckle left Vincent's mouth, "Besides living with my Aunt and Uncle were awesome.." Jeremy's eyes sadden a bit. It was almost like his parents.. But his moms gone and his dad just hates his guts. He smiled back at Vincent, who was already smiling at him.

He leaned back, "Thats great Vincent.." Remembering his task for his father, he pulled out his phone and scratch the back of his head, "Hey. I have to go soon.. My job starts in a bit." He lied smoothly.. His job didnt start for another hour, but he needed the time to get to his dads, then home to get ready.

Vincent didn't say anything and just turned, grabbing his cart and walking away. Jeremy quickly pulled out some paper and a pen and wrote down his number on. He didn't want to lose contact with Vince again.

"Hey wait. Here" He stuck his hand out as Vincent turned around. Vincent stared at the piece of paper, "Text or ring me anytime you have time.." Jeremy watched as Vincent broke out into a grin and took the paper.

"I'll see what I can do."

OoOoOoO

Jeremy sighed as he took his basket and moved away from Vincent after he gave him his number. He made his way over to the cash and payed for everything. He took the plastic bags in hand and thanked the cashier before leaving and making his way to his fathers apartment.

"Hey idiot! You got the things i need?"

Jeremy sighed a bit and pulled out a pack of beer, some cigs, lighters and magazines. Jeremy waited as the man in front of him pulled out some bills and placed it in front of him.

"For you fucking troubles.. now get out of here."

Jeremy was actually surprised his father did that for him, he gave his father a small grin before quickly making his way outside. He sighed and started to make his way to his apartment, which was just a few blocks over, pretty far from his dad.

Jeremy got into his apartment and opened the door wide and placed down a few things he bought for himself while at the store. He put the food away and grabbed his uniform before grabbing his keys again and made his way out and to the bus stop.

After minutes of standing at the bus stop and mindlessly scrolling through tumblr, the bus came and he got on. He had put his phone away at that point, but pulled it out when he felt his pocket vibrate. To his surprise, it was Vincent.

He broke out into a smile and answered him back.

It went on for awhile, before he realized he was a stop away from his work. Texting Vince one last text, he put his phone away. He jumped out of the bus and made his way into the restaurant he worked in.
