Brennan's POV
I'm two months pregnant now. Booth hasn't come back, or tried to contact me since that day I slammed my door in his face.
I still work at the Jeffersonian Institute, and I still work with the FBI, but it's not booth, I work with Agent Sullivan, he's very handsome but I can't get romantic with a colleague.
"hey Sweetie" Angela says
"hi Ange" i say back
"they brought a body while you were puking" she smiles
"okay thanks i'll go take a look" i smile back and walk to sully
"morning Dr Brennan" he says
"morning Agent Sullivan, these the remains" he nods and i put on some gloves.
I start examining the body. The head, neck, shoulders and arms all still have skin.
"looks like gunshot to the side of the head" i say "broken ribs and wrist show signs of a struggle"
Angela said i needed to work on my people skills, so i started with saying things everyone will understand, and i try not to correct people but it's a working progress.
"there's bruising to the neck and shoulder" i say
"which means what" Sully asks
"which means that the victim was grabbed like this" i start wrapping my arm around his neck, my elbow digging into his shoulder "and held a gun here" i grab his gun and put it to the side of the head.
"um Dr Brennan, please do not kill him" Dr Goodman says, coming up next to me
"right sorry Dr Goodman" i smile "just working out what happened to our victim"
"okay, so thats what happened" he asks gesturing whats happening
"yes, now we just need a who and a why" Agent Sullivan answers
"i found who our victim is" Angela says coming up showing a file "Masey Highlin,age 14, single dad two brothers, look at her shes so sweet and innocent" angela holds up the photo.
She's a girl with long straight blonde hair and big brown eyes, she has cream skin and a big smile, she's fairly short.
"the poor thing" i agree "i guess we tell her family"

AFTER THE CASE
"I can not believe that it was her boyfriend" sully says while we're drinking. he's drinking beer I just have a water.
"I know I thought it would be her best friend" I agree
"well I thought it would be her mum" sully says "she seemed so guilty"
"yeah because she was sleeping with another man, he thought of a mother killing her child is propopsterous, ludicrous" I argue
"woah sorry Brennan I didn't intend to offend" he says sincerely
"it's okay I didn't mean to overreact" I mumble "I'm just going to go, bye sully"
we both stand and he walks me to my car, before I hop on he kisses me softly on the lips, I deepen the kiss but then slowly pull away and smile, a smile he Returns.
being with sully I forget about booth, remembering booth is painful.
I'm glad to have Angie and sully and even zack and hodgins.
