Chapter 2: Separated with Alchemy
After several minutes of being pulled through a swirling vortex, Naruto landed headfirst in front of a small shop. After rubbing his bruises, he looked up at a sign that read, "Rockbell Automail." As he got to his feet, he was knocked down again, this time by a flying wrench that collided with his head. He then felt somebody run over him while a female voice was shouting, "YOU JERKS!!!! I'LL SHOW YOU CRAFTSMANSHIP!!!!" before being crushed under metal. After a few moments, Naruto saw a young blonde girl standing over him. She helped him up while apologizing for the wrench and for the two boys who trampled him.
"Where am I?" he asked. The blonde girl looked over at a shorter, older woman with a concerned look on her face. Turning back to him, she stated, "I didn't think I hit you that hard!!!! This is Resembool, a small town in the country of Amestris. My name is Winry Rockbell, and this is my grandma, Pinako."
"Name's Naruto, and I plan on being the next Hokage!" he exclaimed in a proud voice. Pinako and Winry looked at each other with confused looks on their faces, then turned back to Naruto. "Oh, the Hokage is the top ninja in Konoha, the village where I'm from."
"You're a ninja?" Winry asked in a rude, disbelieving tone. Naruto nodded, put his hand behind his head, smiling goofily and giving a small chuckle.
