The Keeper
There is a tale, one of many in Jamma.
Have you ever heard...the legend of the Keeper? If you haven't then it is time you have...
The keeper...a being of mystery, a simple figure. The Keeper is a male wolf, his fur the color of night, while faded purple marks wound through his pelt of mystery. But his eyes...oh his eyes...are the most mysterious... They are the color of ice from but they give off a faint glow, a glow of knowledge, of power, this power is unknown...Next in line to his eyes, is his voice. His voice is soft, gentle, and almost melodic. His voice can calm a crazed mind, sooth it, with his famous...simple question "May I help you?".
The Keeper is not a monster, oh no, not at all. He is the Keeper...the Keeper of Knowledge in the place of ancient ruins. Word your questions and answers correctly and he might just share with you the secrets of Greely.
It is said that he is the assistant of Greely, and when the wolven Shaman left to fight the phantoms, he left the wolf in charge of the Chamber of Knowledge. But be warned...he holds great power at his claw tips and if you threaten the safety of not him but the Chambers he will despell you from the library in a flash, leaving you to the mercy of Zios himself.
Also, there is a tradeoff for a certain knowledge. Ask him this command and he will ask you a riddle. The command is "tell me about the phantoms" and he will ask you this riddle:
"I can and I will if you solve me this riddle;
What goes tick tock all day?
It ticks for eternity until the end of time
It jumps it skips it races and flips
It aches it howls it sinks it breaks
what is the clock that ticks for eternity?"
Answer correctly and he will tell you what you want, answer incorrectly fear not. He will merely chuckle a warm-hearted chuckle and ask "What else do you wish to know?" for he is a gentle soul, but a lonely soul. He is not always at the Chamber of Knowledge. Sometimes he disguises himself as a polite gentlewolf, which in all honesty he is. He goes out with the most eloquent of manners and the charm of a Bird-of-Paradise, some she-wolves even falling for the mysterious wolf on sight. However he searches for a she-wolf that will stand at his side, not for the Taken status but for her love for him and her sharing of interests. He dreams of one day, not howling alone but with his destined soul mate, and one day not being simple The Keeper...but being The Keepers..
