Hey guys! I know, I KNOW. It's been soooo long. I've been going through a lot the past few years and gave up on my writing. But tonight, I decided to get back into it. I'm not sure if anyone would be interested in reading my fanfictions anymore. But if you do, I hope you like what you read. :) Please tell me if you like where i'm going with this and if I should continue my other writings. Thanks for being ever so patient. :)

Chapter 2:

I struggled to swim along with the tide that was crashing against me. Then I saw a large wooden plank floating with various other items like bottles and other planks. Maybe a ship went overboard?

I used all my strength to swim over to plank and hoisted my body on top of it. This plank was my only chance of not drowning. I was already like a drowned rat and coughing up a lot of water.

Then I saw a group of young boys in a boat, rowing towards the shore quickly.

"Hello? Yoohoo? Help me?" I yelled at them but they didn't seem to hear me and continued rowing.

I saw another young man, dressed in Army clothes, standing on top of a pole with a sail. He had one arm over his forehead, possibly looking for others lost in the sea.

"Sir? Sir?" I yelled, "please help-" the waves crashed in again, throwing me underneath the waves again.

I swam back to the top but was pulled back underneath the water again. How was I ever going to get help if nobody would help me and the waves kept pushing me underneath the surface? This was just my luck. This is what I get for being so curious.

I tried swimming to the surface but it was no use. The pull of the waves was just too strong.

Finally, the waves pushed me to shore. I was finally free of the ocean. If only my troubles ended there. I was soaking wet and a group of people were running around in a circle, stepping on me. But they didn't seem to care.

"Dear girl!" someone said, "you'll never get dry that way!" I looked up and it was the man dressed in the Army clothes.

"Get dry?" I asked, bewildered. In order for me to get dry, I would need a towel and a hairdryer. None of which would be available on a beach shore.

"You have to run with the others! First rule of a caucus race, you know."

Before I could respond, another waves rushed on the shore and a boy with curly brown hair and muscles hoisted me on top of his shoulders, forcing me to run. I felt like I was at a rock concert.

"That's better! You'll be dry in no time now!" said the Army guy.

"But nobody could ever get try this way! This is insane!" I exclaimed.

"Nonsense! I'm as dry as the sun. Why, I'm so dry I could sparkle!"

This was absolutely ridiculous and I was starting to get dizzy. And then I saw her again, washed in from the ocean.

"Excuse me, little girl? Little girl?"

"Oh my goodness, I'm late, I'm late!" she said, looking at her watch and running off again.

I managed to jump off from the curly-haired boys' shoulders and run after the little girl again. What on earth was she late for?! Why couldn't she just stay in one place and talk to me for five seconds?!

I tried to run after her again, running into a forest, but I lost her again.

"I'm sure he came this way," I sighed to myself. "Do you suppose he could be hiding?" Oh no, I thought, I'm talking to myself. Not a good sign at all.

I saw two shadows on the ground all of a sudden, but when I turned around; nothing.

I continued looking around trees and bushed. I must've lost her. Again.

I turned around again and screamed. Two tall blonde figures were standing right in front of me. I read their names that were on their shirts, like a name tag. Caius and Demetri. "What peculiar names for forest statues," I said to myself.

"We are alive, you know," said Caius, glaring at me.

"What kind of wackjob are you? You think statues move?" Demetri said, rolling his eyes.

"I'm sorry, it's just you were standing so still!" I explained.

"Cats also move but sit still, does that make them a statue?" Caius said sarcastically.

"That's logic!" They said in unison.

Wow. I seemed to have pissed them off. I better run.

"Well, I'm Bella, it was nice meeting you. Goodbye!"

All of a sudden they appeared in front of me at the speed of lightening.

"You're beginning backwards. You didn't even shake our hands first!" Demetri said, seeming appalled.

"That's manners!" They said once again in unison, pointing at me.

"Well i'm sorry," I said, shaking their hands. "But I've got to go, I'm following a little girl and-"

"Why?"

"Because I want to know where she's going."

"But why?"

"I'm curious to know where she's going!"

"Ohhhhhhh. She's curious..." whispered Demetri to Caius, "Bree Tanner was curious too, wasn't she?"

"Yeah, and you remember what happened to her. Poor thing."

They both looked down at the ground, looking as if they were going to cry over this Bree Tanner. Who was she?

"Why?" I asked, walking back to them. "What did happen to her?"

"Oh, you wouldn't be interested." replied Caius, as they both walked away.

"But I am!" I said, trying to keep up with them.

"Oh, no you're not. You're in much too much of a hurry," Demetri grunted.

"Perhaps I could stay a little while?"

"You could?" Demetri pushed me down onto a log. "Here we go then, the story of Victoria and Riley OR the story of the curious little girl."
