Breezepaw's P.O.V

"Welcome older students to another year at Lakeshore Middle. Welcome new students to Lakeshore Middle. Hope you all will have a pleasant year." Firestar greeted us, smiling.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "He thinks he rules this place…"

Heathertail nudged my shoulder. "Lionpaw's glaring at you."

I spun around, locking eyes with Lionpaw. "What are you starin' at?" I demanded, making my voice sound tough.

"Breezepaw. Stand down." Whitetail, my old guide, came over, sternly turning me around.

I grumbled before nodding respectfully to her. Whitetail gave me an approving nod before leaving.

"He sounds just like Ivypaw." I heard a girl with silver hair whisper to her black haired friend.

Cinderpaw and Hollypaw. Those girls are so annoying! And who was Ivypaw?

"This year, a few of you would get to be guides. From Thunder: Hollypaw you will guide Riverpaw. Brackenfur have guided you well, and shaped you up to the intelligent fighter you are with quick wits. Please show these skills to Riverpaw. Both of you, please get up to the stage."

I feel bad for Riverpaw. He seemed pretty cool for those Thunder brats. Hollypaw is probably going to blab his ear off about the school's rules and policies as well as the limits of fighting.

"Cinderpaw, you will guide Ivypaw. Cloudtail have guided you well as well. Please pass on your energy and kindness to Ivypaw."

So that's Ivypaw! Wasn't she that little sixth grader on the skateboard talking back to Cinder and Holly? The one that was also bossing Lionpaw around?

*Flashback*

"YO LIONPAW! GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE!" I jumped as I saw a short girl with silver hair standing beside Cinderpaw and Hollypaw. Lionpaw spun around for a second before turning away. The short girl muttered something before hopping on her skateboard and riding up to Lionpaw.

They were talking for a while before Lionpaw roughly pushed her back. The girl didn't seem deterred though. She put her hands on her hips and seem to be talking back to him before riding off. Lionpaw grumbled and followed. For some reason I feel a strange tugging at my chest toward her… She's pretty cool, for those Thunder brats. Maybe we can become friends?

*End of flashback*

She shouldn't have gotten Cinderpaw. She should have gotten someone cooler. Maybe Berrypaw. Jesus Thunder people have no cool dudes or girls these days.

"Lionpaw you will guide Dovepaw. Ashfur have guided you well before his… Accident. Show your bravery to her."

I jumped. Lionpaw got to be a guide?! How come I didn't?! "Arrogant prick gets everything." I muttered.

I turned around to walk out of here before I bumped into someone. Ivypaw. She stared at me with frosty blue eyes. "Sorry." I mumbled.

I ignored Heatherpaw's shocked gaze. Was it that uncommon for me to apologize to someone?

"Well you're better than that Lion dude." Ivy muttered before walking away. Just that slightest compliment made my eyes soften and my heart melt… What is wrong with me? I just have a sudden urge to protect her.

I smacked myself in the face. "God damn it Breezepaw! You should hate all Thunders! They're the reason Crowfeather never shows any attention to you! But why… Why does she make me feel this way?"

"Breezepaw!" Heatherpaw snapped. "You're talking out loud! Firestar's looking at you!"

I jumped. "I was bored okay?"

Onestar glared at me. "If you're bored, then kindly walk out with no interuptions."

"Fine. Firestar, you're boring." I muttered and stepped out, but not before I leard Ivypaw's laugh...

On my way out I bumped into another little sixth grader. "Watch where you're going!" I snarled.

The girl shrinked back. "Sorry."

"What's your name? What section?" I asked.

"Blossompaw of Thunder." She asnwered timidly.

"Great. Another Thunder girl in my way." I grumbled.

"Breezepaw!" I spun around, expecting to see Whitetail or someone but instead I found Ivypaw.

"Bullying sixth graders?" She questioned, tilting her head. "Gee. I thought you were tougher than that."

She thought I was tough...

"This disgusting Thunder girl bumped into me." I defended myself.

"Are you sure you didn't bump into her like you bumped into me?" Ivy raised an eyebrow.

"I'm positive!" I protested.

"Alrighty then." Ivypaw turned to leave before three others came out.

"Blossompaw! There you are! We've been- Oh why are you crying?" A boy with blue-gray hair asked.

"~Sniff~ This boy was mean to me!" She sobbed. That little-

"Breezepaw." Ivy put a hand on my wrist, controlling my fists. "I'll handle this."

Too shocked that she toughed me, I let her talk.

"She just bumped into him! That's all!" Ivypaw snorted. "She's acting like a baby over nothing!"

"Ivypaw." The older girl with brown hair, Hazelpaw, stepped forward.

"Stand down Ivypaw!"

Ivypaw reluctantly ducked her head. Then she smirked. "Hey Hazelpaw..." She was about to say something before I pulled her aside.

"Why don't you let me fight them? You're just embarrasing me by letting a sixth grader fight my own battles." I whispered.

Ivy shook her head. "You're too bold, brash, and reckless Breezepaw! There are times to use violence but not to fix simple problems like these! Sometimes you can easily find a way to talk it out! Maybe bribery would do!" She turned back to Hazelpaw. "... I've heard that you've been seeing a 7th grader? By the name of Foxpaw? What will his father do if he found out..."

Hazelpaw shrinked back. "You-You-"

"Come on Breezy." Ivypaw muttered, pulling me away.

She's so wise and cunning...
