The New Door Chapter Two

Howl's POV

I went upstairs and started going through boxes of pictures and then I came across one. I was shocked; it was of me and my real brother! We were separated right before I started practicing magic. He was older than me by ten years. We were close before we got separated, I never could figure out what happened till now. The boy looked almost exactly like him, except he had blond hair instead of raven hair. My brother's name was….

Minato. He had a broader body then I did and liked to change his hair to blond a lot. He had deep blue eyes and wore blue a lot. That's why I used to change my hair color to blond so much. He was my idol when I was a kid. The kid I met in the village looked just like him only younger. I didn't know if he changed his hair color a lot though. I wondered if he practiced magic or not, or if my brother was still alive. I kind of doubted it because if that was the case then Naruto wouldn't be like this. I decided to go back to that village in a couple of days. With that I went to sleep for the night, since I had eaten dinner an hour before. I went downstairs to say goodnight to Sophie, Calcifer and Michael and with that I went to bed.

Naruto's POV (A few days later)

I had been thinking of that guy none stop since I first saw him outside my apartment. He looked a lot like my father just he had raven hair. I think he practiced magic. It would make sense with how his apartment felt, like it had a buildup of chakra only I knew it wasn't that. I went to practice with Sakura and Kakashi today.

I gave up all hope on Sasuke since bringing him back. He was in prison and was not able to use his chakra or sharingan. I felt relieved when I heard that, since I knew he wanted me dead for bringing him back. I had foiled his and Madara's plan to get the Kyuubi out of me, instead Kyuubi's soul joined with mine to kill Madara.

I just got to the training grounds and Sakura was the only person there. She noticed I was spacing out but decided not to hit me for once. I didn't notice this and leaned against a tree that was nearby. I was still thinking about that guy, Howl. He seemed so familiar but I knew I haven't met him before. I took out a picture of my father and looked at it with wide eyes. 'THIS IS WHY HE SEEMS FAMILIAR!'I thought. He looked like a lithe version of my dad! "Sakura? Do you know if my father ever had a younger brother," I asked suddenly. She jumped a little and shook her head. I looked back to the ground and she asked me, "Why are you wondering Naruto?" I looked at her and said, "I met someone a few days ago who looks a lot like him. He seemed to think the same about me." We dropped the subject after that.

A few hours later Kakashi showed up and we sparred with him a little bit before we got to leave. I went over to the Hokage Mountain and sat on Minato. I looked out over the village to see the sun setting. I smiled and relaxed while I watched it. I didn't know someone was behind me till they cleared their throat.

Howl's POV

I walked out the door to the village. I went out of the apartment building and walked around. I went into what looked like the market area. People were talking about a kid they called demon child. I wondered who this was. Then I remembered what Naruto had said.

Flashback Howl's POV

"Well I figured everyone in this village knew about what happened the night I was born," he paused for a second then continued, "I'm a Jinchuuriki, a demon host. Everyone in this village sees me as a memory they wish to erase." He was emotionless during this whole thing. I was shocked at this. Why would someone wish that on someone else?

Flashback ended Howl's POV

I figured they were talking about him when I remembered that and I glared at everyone who talked ill about him. I continued to walk around this village for a while until I ended up on top of a mountain. I looked around and noticed Naruto was sitting on a head that was carved into the mountain. Then I looked and saw that there were 5 heads carved on this mountain. I wondered what the significance was but decided to ask later. I walked behind Naruto and cleared my throat. He jumped a little and turned around. He glared a little at me which confused me. I figured I just scared him a little. "Hello Naruto. How are you this evening," I asked. He stared at me a little bit and answered, "I'm….fine? How are you?" I was surprised he asked but smiled and answered, "I'm great. This village is pretty big isn't it?" He nodded and motioned me to sit down.

Naruto's POV

I was looking towards the now starry sky and relaxed. The guy, Howl, kept looking at me in wonder. Normally by now people would be glaring at me or yelling that something is my fault they haven't gotten over in 18 years. Howl though, was just looking in the distance relaxed. He seemed comfortable around me. Then suddenly he spoke up. "Naruto, this is just my curious mind speaking. Have you ever heard of someone named Minato," He asked me. I stared at him shocked and said, "M-Minato? That's my father's name. How do you know about him?"

Howl's POV

"Naruto, this is just my curious mind speaking. Have you ever heard of someone named Minato," I asked him. I waited for a few minutes on baited air. When I looked over he looked really shocked and said, "M-Minato? That's my father's name. How do you know about him?" I looked at him shocked now. 'That's his father's name? How?' Thoughts like that ran through my head for a minute. He was looking at me and turned away to look into the distance. I wondered if I should tell him that the man was my brother's or not. It might not have been the same person though…
