1112 A.D.
My plan worked somewhat decently. I even managed to get an actual copy of the daylight ring spell from my mother instead of memorizing it, though since becoming an Original my memory has become truly perfect, and I doubt I would have forgotten it, but the security of having a copy is nice. There was a bit of a problem, though I managed to keep it a secret. Somehow I had disregarded the features I shared with Klaus. I had simply thought they were the ones we got from our mother, and had spared little thought on them.
After my first kill, I found out I was mistaken. Thankfully I was away from everyone at the time, but I had started to shift. I was a hybrid as well, or due to my Siphoner abilities, perhaps Tribrid was more appropriate. It was barely a few days later that Klaus committed his own first kill, and the events I knew of came to follow it. Apparently my mother bound the curse to our bloodline and not simply Niklaus. The feeling was strange, to suddenly lose a part of you, the additional boost I had gained from my werewolf nature suddenly disappeared.
Quite a disorienting event, and my mother died to what I knew was Klaus's hands shortly after. It was one thing to know and accept your mother was going to die, it was another for it to actually happen. I fled quickly following her death, it was definitely more difficult than I thought it would be, but in the end, I had very little desire to run for a thousand years, and although the daggers would likely work on me just as little as they would on Klaus, I didn't want to see if that theory was correct firsthand, nor did I want to have him attempt other methods like the golden dagger I knew Kol would eventually do.
After leaving, I spent the next several years traveling in the area that would eventually be North America, throughout this time, I finally managed to practice the magic I had learned thanks to my magical nature that I could now siphon from. After some time, I found myself to be somewhat bored. Learning magic and practicing it was interesting, and I did discover more and more as time went by, but I needed something to do that wasn't so monotonous.
Eventually, I decided to take advantage of my future knowledge by doing something that wouldn't have too much of an effect on the timeline. I knew that Silas's tomb was on an island two hundred miles off the coast of Nova Scotia, and thanks to my Siphoner status, the defenses would easily be bypassed without the need of a Witch or access to a Hunter's mark. The main difficulty would be actually getting to him, but once I did, I would be in possession of an Immortal to channel or siphon magic from as I pleased, as well as the cure.

So I spent a large portion of the century after separating from my family attempting to get to Silas. Thankfully, I had quite a bit of information already, and didn't need to search the entire world. Finding the island took several years, mainly due to my need to create a locator spell that would do so. Eventually, I simply created one that would point me in the correct direction, as I already knew it would be two hundred miles off of Nova Scotia.
I then proceeded to use the spell while on Nova Scotia, and followed the direction it gave me to the island. Things got a bit trickier at that point. I knew that eventually miners created a well above Silas' tomb. Unfortunately, that mine hadn't been created yet, therefore instead of searching for the mine, and going down the same way I had seen done in the show, I had to search the island for the actual tomb itself.
It took the better portion of a century to eventually get to the tomb, eventually finding it after first finding the tombstone I had nearly forgotten about. Thankfully I had no more difficulties than expected after reaching it, easily siphoning the protections that would have normally required a Hunter and a Witch. Until I actually laid my eyes upon Silas that is. Whether due to my not spilling blood, or some other reason, Silas never gave any visions to me as he did to the characters in the show. Apparently however, I had forgotten a key fact that I remembered upon reaching Silas's body. The cure was fossilized together with his body. Thankfully, I didn't plan on feeding him as Katherine did, Silas moved before he had drained Jeremy, so I fed him in bits, until finally, I was able to take the cure from his hands. I then used a spell that I had created with this in mind, whose inspiration came from my brother Finn's future channeling of Mikael.
After this however, I realized I had a new problem. I couldn't leave Silas there, eventually someone would stumble upon it, likely a Hunter, and I would lose my new source of power. So I later found myself on the rowboat I had taken to the island, with Silas and his tombstone as well as the cure. After rowing about half way back to Nova Scotia, I proceeded to toss Silas into the water. I had thought about taking him with me, but realized what would happen if anyone found out I had him or knew where he was, and had determined that keeping him with me would lead to all sorts of problems. At the bottom of the ocean however, I could remain linked and draw power from him, without running the risk of the spell being broken and unleashing an immortal upon the world.
Thankfully, unless I told someone, the tombstone was unlikely to be discovered to be anything other than a rock that I possessed. While the cure was supposed to be on the island, if anyone ever discovered otherwise, it was doubtful they would find out I had it. It would also be much easier to hide two items, while carrying around Silas' body would have been much more suspicious.
Of course, I had no plan on carrying such a powerful source of magic around for any long period of time, so in the year 1120 A.D., I used a modified version of the spell I used on Silas, linking its power to myself. I then proceeded to do exactly the same as I had to Silas, I tossed it in the ocean as well. The cure I would keep on myself, it would be a waste to toss it into the ocean. Those two however were only really useful to me as sources of magic, and would be best if they were where no one would find them. At this point, I realized I had started to miss my family, and would inevitably get bored again eventually. So I created and cast a spell. The next time I awoke, it would be 1864. Just in time to take advantage of the events that would occur in Mystic Falls.
