A.N. The next chapter. Enjoy this and you will find the next victim soon. If I ask for help, it would be awesome to get some help. For now I'm all good. I will need help for the killer, but you'll get some suspects in the next chapter. 5 reviews for the next chapter if possible.
"Have you got any information on the woman?" April asked as she and Kaitlyn sat in the research lab, looking at the body through the glass wall and door.
"No, and since she has been missing for about a day and still no missing persons report has been filed, we can assume she is not missed." April shook her head and sighed.
"It's such a shame for a beautiful girl, no one misses her." Kaitlyn had turned her attention to her computer on the office desk nearby. Surrounded near it, were bottles of chemicals, eye droppers, petri dishes and other things for her research. She began to type away on her computer and turned the monitor to show April.
"We found traces of Daphne gnidium in her blood stream. I think that was what killed her." April slowly turned her head towards Kaitlyn, clearly confused. "It is the seeds at the base of the leaves that are poisonous."
"So, you think someone had given her the seeds intentionally?" Kaitlyn shrugged.
"I don't know, but it is common in America so she might have just wanted to try a few berries."
April had given Kaitlyn some time away from her; granted, April needed a bit of time to spend with her husband, Phil. They had a bit of trouble with their relation for the first few months, with April living in the New Jersey area and Phil living in Chicago. Eventually, Phil had moved to New York with April and taken up a job as a personal trainer.
"You were out for a while last night, babe." April's lips formed a flat line.
"Yeah, there was a beautiful young girl lying dead in an alley last night. Kaitlyn and I think she was poisoned from some seeds from a poisonous plant that I can't remember the name of."
"I could not hold my stomach if I had your job." April nuzzled her head in Phil's chest.
"I know you couldn't, you're too soft to handle what I do." Phil moved so April was lying on her back and his face hovered over hers closely. April bit her bottom lip as Phil began to kiss her neck softly.
"Honey, I have to rest; I'm tired." Phil didn't stop, and part of April didn't want him to. That was why she had to quickly sit and stand up, so nothing else would happen, despite what she wanted.
She walked down the hallway to their small bedroom and lay down on the soft King sized bed. Phil had quietly followed her and slid to the bed beside her.
"Do you think I was going to let you go that easy?" Phil laughed as he placed his hands on April's hips and kissed her shoulders and neck. April mumbled something incoherently and rolled onto her back from her stomach.
"Just be quick." April remarked, before Phil dove in the kiss April.
Within a couple of hours, April was sleeping and Phil was taking a shower. He dried himself off, kissed April's forehead and went into the kitchen to grab a snack. Just as he was about to take a bite out of his apple he grabbed, the phone had begun to ring.
"Hello?" Phil asked when he answered the phone.
"Is April around, Phil? We have another murder that we think might be connected to last night's murder." Phil ran a hand through his short brown hair as he heard none other than Cody on the other end.
"I'll wake her up and tell her. I hope you guys find who's doing this." Cody agreed and both hung up. Phil had woken up April and explained what Cody had told him to a sleepy April.
"Well, I better go, again."
