Chapter Two

When we arrived at the school, the first thing I noticed was a beautiful fountain. Then I heard a nasal-like voice call Sam and Alex's names. When we turned around we saw this girl with long black hair. Her hair was about four inches up her elbow. She looked at me and asked who I was. When I was about to introduce myself, she cut me off. She told the three of us that none of us should even bother talking to the captain of the volleyball team because he is all hers. I looked at Sam and Alex and they mouthed that they will explain later.

When I looked at the girl again, she introduced herself. Her name is Mandy Rodriguez. She's a rich girl who's spoiled. Then she asked again who I was. This time she listened. I said that my name's Clover Matthews. Then her two friends came. When they came she said 'Goodbye losers' and walked away with her friends. Then I turned around and faced Sam and Alex. They knew I wanted an explanation.

"Well," began Sam "Mandy has always liked the captain of the volleyball team. He's cute, sweet, gentle, likes to hang around with his friends after school."

"We don't know his name," said Alex "but we do know how he looks like."

"Okay then. Guess I now understand. A little bit." I said.

"Hey you have to get your schedule from the main office." Said Sam.

When we realized that, we all ran to the main office. When the front desk lady gave me my schedule we al headed to our homerooms. I was so glad that I'm in the same homeroom and classes with Sam and Alex. Our first period class was History. When it was over we headed to English. As the day came to an end, and it was the last period of the day, I was happy. One, because I love gym class. Two, the school day is almost over.

During gym, the teacher gave me gym clothes. That's a good thing. Saves me the trouble from bringing clothes to school. My wardrobe is bigger than my mothers. Which is why when we got settled in; my parents let me have the first biggest room in the household. While they got the second biggest. Then the teacher announced that we will be playing volleyball. Out of the corner of my eye I saw that Mandy was in this class; but she was not with her friends. I saw that she was sitting next to this girl with short blond hair. Sam told me that that was her cousin, Mindy.

Then Alex said that they both have the same nasal-like voice. I giggled. Our gym teacher along with other gym teachers explained to us how we are going to be playing. Then they choose captains. When the captains were chosen, they had to choose the players. When the teams were set, we each got to know each other. Then a guy with blue-black hair and light blue eyes came to where Alex, Sam, and I were at.

"Hey, I'm Blaine and I'll be your captain. Plus, I don't know if you know this but I'm captain of the school's volleyball team, too." He said. So he's the one Mandy likes. Hmm.

"Hi." Said Alex, then Sam said "Have you met our new transfer student, Clover?"

"No, hello." He said, turning around to face me.

"Hi." I said not really caring.

After we were all finished they assigned us courts. The first team we were against was Mandy's team. This is going to be fun, I thought. I know that she likes him, but if she sees that we're on his team she'll probably go ballistic. As the game began, Mandy noticed. She noticed that we were on his team. She looked really angry. That was a sight to see. When class was over Alex, Sam, and I headed to our lockers. Then someone called us. When we turned around we saw that it was Blaine. He came with two other guys. I guess they're friends.

He introduced us to them. They are Dean and Virgil. Dean has brown hair and light brown eyes. He is captain of the soccer team and was in honor classes. He looked at Alex, then at me. Then he looked at Sam. When he did, he looked like was alone with Sam (in his own little world). Virgil has blonde hair and green eyes and he is also in honors classes, plus he's on the soccer team too. He looked at Sam and me, and then he looked at Alex. He looked about exactly the same as how Dean looked like. When we were done we shut our lockers and walked with the guys.

"Are you guys doing anything this Saturday?" asked Blaine.

"No." we said "Why?"

"Do you guys want to hang out with us?" asked Virgil.

"Sure. Why not?" we said.

Then we headed the other direction from Blaine, Dean and Virgil. When I turned around I saw that they were still starring at us as we headed home. When I got home there was a letter on the door. Then I heard Sam and Alex screaming my name; we looked at the letters. They said the same thing. Apparently they went on vacation and won't be back for who knows how long. They said that Sam and Alex will be staying with me. All of their things are already in their rooms. We were shocked and happy at the same time. We had the whole house for ourselves, we don't know how long. Anybody would wish for this to happen to them.
