From: "Sing a Song"
This is the prologue to the second fanfic I ever started. I loved the whole story outline and everything I thought up for it, however I just never ended up writing it. When I finish the stories I have on my plate right now, I may return to this one. It's fun to do things that are dark and scary sometimes, which is a HUGE departure from every other story I've written. Plus, I love my character in this one.
"Running. Have…to…keep…running…." Song thought to herself. The sound of her shoes smacking the cobblestones echoed through the dark streets. She turned around to make sure no one was following her. When she saw she was safe, Song ducked into a dark alley and sat down to catch her breath. Song buried her face in her hands and let the memory of what just happened take over her mind.
There's the sound of a door opening. A muffled scream. Song awakens in bed. There are more screams and the sounds of a scuffle arise. Song runs to her parent's room. There is blood on the walls and on the floor. Song's parents lie dead from stab wounds. There is another man in the room. He looks up and starts toward Song. She gasps and runs. He's gaining…gaining…. Closer…closer…closer….
"No!" Song gasped. "I have to get away from here," she murmured. "But where is there to go?" Song knew that she wouldn't be safe if she stayed where she was. Wherever she decided to go, she would have to leave now. Song stood up and glanced around quickly to make sure the man wasn't anywhere near. When there was no one in sight, Song took off again into the night.
