Chapter 2

Sisterly love

"Wow...dad is, like, sending you all the way after Zuko. I guess your stench is so bad he doesn't want you stinking up the palace," the 15 year old laugh. As she waved her hands in the air speaking to her little sister. Azula simply cut her eyes at the comment as she walked down the hall next to the strangely dressed Huoyan.

If there were any maid or servants about then they were gone. Perhaps they didn't want to be in the area when the two siblings were anywhere near one another as Huoyan winked slightly as she pressed her fingers to her cheek. Her long nails red painted nails pressing against her own skin.

Huoyan had a style of what she wore, a style no one in the Fire Nation could replicate. She had two giant hair buns, large enough to be a head each sticking out of her sides of her skull. She always wore make-up and kept her face powdered. She also obtained an odd speech pattern with inserting the word like randomly in her sentences.

On first appearances, she was nothing more than a air-headed princess with terrible fashion taste...though that was a lie after all. Because living with Huoyan for all those years was the nearest thing Azula had ever experienced to hell.

Huoyan frowned, Azula didn't respond at all...perhaps the younger sister had gotten far too use to the taunts to give them a second thought. As they continued to walk down the red and golden palace halls Huoyan gently placed her hand on her chest. "Azula...I'm your older sister, so I care about you... so it's only natural that I want to talk to you,"

There was a certain amount of bile that was entering Azula's throat. She knew that Huoyan was lying. That was an absolute fact, the question was how she was going to twist it into a truth.

Azula had reached her door, the only thing she needed to do was call the servants and help her pack. That is all that she needed to do, she didn't even need to look at her...but.

"Then say it in that voice," the voice that could never lie. Perhaps it was simply Azula mind playing tricks on her. She felt a heavy chain on her heart. She wanted Huoyan to say it was impossible, not to be able to do so. So she knew for a fact that her older sister was lying. There was a short moment of silence before Huoyan took a deep breath.

"Azula...you're important to me..." There was a moment of silence, Azula eyes widen for a moment. Her brain was working against her. It was accepting what Huoyan was saying as fact. Which made the next line hurt even more.

"Yes...I want to see you fail! I want to see you broken and crying and clinging to the freakish disappointment that you are! You're my entertainment Azula...You're important to me as my entertainment!" Huoyan started to laugh as she clutched her own face. Azula tried to hide her expression of pain, but the fact that she was trying to hide it almost made Huoyan drool with pleasure.

To say that there was something mentally wrong with Huoyan would be an understatement. She had a strange fascination with harming other people. Not out of gain or want, just for the pure pleasure of it. Even at her own pain, Huoyan couldn't help but crack a smile. However there were two things that Huoyan could not stand, two things that could make her bang her head against the wall.

Azula opened the door to her room as she entered it Huoyan slipping in uninvited. Azula's room was nice and tidy, like it should be. It seemed the maids too extra care with hers as Huoyan tapped her lip before taking seat on Azula's bed. The younger sister simply glared at her older sibling, even if they were sisters it was rude to due such a thing unannounced.

"Aren't you going to call in the servants to pack for you?" Huoyan cracked a smile as Azula remained frozen before Huoyan continued. "Oh...I see, you don't want be there when they pack...but if it was because you didn't want me in your room then you wouldn't have allowed me in here in the first place..." Huoyan crossed her arms as she kicked her feet around.

"...Maybe, it's because you act so different around me. That's it!" Azula clenched her fist holding herself back. She wanted to burn the smile off of Huoyan's face, but Azula knew that Huoyan thought of it as a game. If Azula attacked her, she lost, if she let her words control her that easily then she really would be garbage.

"I'm right~ you act all noble and confident around the servants. Expecting utmost perfection, but around me you, like, act rather bitter. Not using a lot of words, all your charisma is drained...I guess it would be pretty bad if they saw you so weak," Huoyan sighed as she twirled her hair before continuing.

"Then again...you are always weak...Azula," It was almost eerie, Huoyan used the voice, she used words that she knew would hurt Azula. But Huoyan wasn't smiling, grinning or clapping her hands. She simply twirled her hair before letting out an annoyed sigh.

Azula knew this look all too well, one of the few things that could hurt Huoyan deeply, even if it was from her own mind.

"Huoyan, don't you have something better to do?" Azula asked that as Huoyan remained silent.

Boredom, that is what Huoyan despised the most. Being bored, having nothing interesting to do or see or hear or smell. To have all her senses be assaulted with worthless things. She needed to be entertained, it was so bad that she would even risk losing a game just to make sure it was interesting. She would turn a sure thing into a chance just to help ease those thoughts.

"Actually...I don't," it seemed that Huoyan fell into the trap of making it her job to hurt Azula every way imaginable that anything outside of that was rather uneventful.

"Isn't that...a little pathetic?" Azula smirked as Huoyan simply chuckled.

"Wow, that's cold, really cold, like super duper cold! But you're right, I'm, like, so pathetic that I think I'm going with you!"

It was...unexpected, the words that came out of Huoyan mouth. So unexpected that Azula simply wanted to ask why, but deep down the princess knew the answer to that question.

"You're my best plaything, all the other toys here are way~ to fragile. They break, like, way too easily. Not you Azula. You're like a stench of a rotten pumpkin. Even though no one wants you, you tend to linger about, plus...seeing Zuko again might be fun!" Huoyan jumped off her bed as she walked towards the door.
"Dad will probably be proud that I, like, have some drive with doing this! I'll let you pack your worthless clothes!" Huoyan already was halfway out of the room before she turned to her sister.

"Oh...Azula, there's a difference between disappointment and failure, try not to disappoint me," that was the second thing that Huoyan couldn't stand. Disappointment, though Azula honestly couldn't understand what her sentence meant as the older sibling left the room leaving Azula to beckon her servants. Though Azula simply stood there for a moment, biting the inside of her jaw.

Why? Why did Huoyan want to go with her, seeing Zuko again couldn't have been the only reason. Though, Huoyan was one person that Azula could never read. If it was due to her own faliure or Huoyan's strength had yet to be determined.
