Being honest, I think that 'one person' was me. I did make an Arc-V / Outlast Crossover story before but I did delete it. But now it has returned! And to answer the last question, no. Yuya is not the Whistleblower in this story. Just a companion and guide to Yuto throughout the adventure. The Whistleblowers are going to be none other than Yuri and Yugo cause if one of the Dragon Boys suffer, they all suffer. XP

Chapter 2: Battle With The Basement Beast

Yuya really didn't want to do this. He really didn't. His mind screamed at him to turn around, but he forced himself to keep going. He needed to get those doors open. That boy with the camera had to get out. The red lady told him so. If he didn't, all hope would be lost. Everyone here would suffer more.

Yuya kept on walking, his feet numb from the icy cold water. Luckily, Yuya only heard the sounds of his own footsteps so that was good. That meant that the Basement Beast wasn't hunting. At least, not yet. Soon, Yuya reached the main room. It was still quite dark but he could just make out a giant silver machine in the center of the room on a wooden platform. He made his way towards it and looked down at the screen in front of him.

Yuya didn't understand any of it. No one has ever taught him how to read! It was all gibberish to him! All the lines were red. That was bad...right? Yuya tugged on his hair, trying to think of what to do. There were a bunch of buttons on the side and he just began to mash them, hoping that one of them would work and that the lights would just magically come on.

"Who's there?!" A voice snarled which caused Yuya to jump. "I see you. I hunt you. I kill you." The voice growled. Yuya knew it was the voice of the Basement Beast. He ducked down, a hand over his mouth to quiet his panic breaths. He heard something heavy splash down onto the floor and the low growling of something animistic. He moved through the water, getting closer to his hiding spot. If the Beast spotted him, Yuya had no where to run.

Slowly, the Basement Beast came into Yuya's view. The Beast was a man, his posture hunch over, and his clothes in rags. Blood stained his skin and teeth. Judging by how fresh the blood looked Yuya could guess that the Beast had just finish one of its meals before hearing him. Surprisingly, the Beast didn't look in Yuya's direction and walked past without being seen. He could still hear his footsteps, but they were traveling away from him now.

Once Yuya was sure he was as far away as he could be, Yuya slowly stood up and began to make his way back to the staircase. However, Yuya was so focused on not making noise that he completely forgot that the basement was flooded.

*SPLASH*

Yuya immediately jumps as the Beast lets out a mighty roar like a lion and whips around, its yellow eyes blazing with the urge to spill blood. Seeing that, Yuya turns and blindly races through the water and into another non-flooded hallway. With a sinking heart, Yuya realized that he doesn't recognize this hallway but the Basement Beast is only just a couple of steps behind him so he doesn't have time to think much on it. As Yuya ran he could see that the hallway was coming to a dead end room.

With little choice, Yuya threw himself into the room and threw the door shut. A few seconds later the door shakes as the Beast slams against it with all of its strength. Breathing heavily, Yuya looked around but quickly saw that he was trap with no way out. The door shakes again. The Beast wasn't even bothering to open the door. He was going to break it down. Yuya began to back petal from the door, frightful tears running down his face, but then he winced in pain as his back hit something.

Yuya turned around to see a large lever that was pulled down. Knowing he had nothing to lose, he pushed the lever up. To Yuya's great relief there was a clunking noise and the lights flickered back to life. Yuya was so relieved that he completely forgot about his current situation and by the time he realized it, the Beast had already broken the door off its hinges and had leaped at him, sinking its teeth deep into his shoulder.

Yuya screamed in pain and in a brief flash of fight or flight instincts, he threw his fist back. It connected and the Beast let go, snarling in rage. Clutching his bleeding shoulder, Yuya ran like the wind, back down the hallway and towards the main room. This time, Yuya was able to find the right hallway but just before he reached the small set of steps that went up to it, his feet slip out from under him and he landed face first in the water.

He tried to get to his feet as quick as possible but the Beast was already upon him once again. It wasn't going to let go of its prey that easily. The Beast grabbed his ankle and yanked him back towards him. Even with the lights now on the Beast wore a dark grin and its eyes held nothing but the instinctual need to kill. With another burst of adrenaline, Yuya kicked out with one foot and then both. This causes the Beast to let go for a second time, hissing.

Yuya scrambles to his feet and keeps running, flying up the steps and down the hall. When he spots the small gap in the wall he had came through he practically forces himself into it, the bricks scraping against his back and face painfully. When he is through, he collapsed to his knees in the water, trembling. The Beast had finally caught up to him, but it knew nothing of the gap in the wall and even if it did, Yuya doubt it would be able to fit through.

The Beast continued to shake and gnaw at the bars of the metal door that separated them, like an animal. Yuya gives the Beast a sad look. He had once been a person a long time ago. Now this asylum has broken him; Turning him into something that was more animal than human. Once he had caught his breath, Yuya stood back up and made his way to the basement door, seeing that it was now open.

Yuya peeked out to see that the boy was gone. Confused, Yuya made his way up the stairs only to be met by emptiness. Fear soon set in. Had Gong gotten to him?! Tears quickly returning, Yuya began searching everywhere. As he was searching he spotted the room with the cameras.

Wait. Isn't that where the boy needed to go to open the front doors? Yuya felt himself relax. Of course. It all made sense now. When Yuya turned back on the lights, the boy had probably went straight to the room to open the doors. He might even have left by now. When Yuya looked into the room he saw that it was empty and he actually felt a little sad.

He had sort of hoped that the boy would have at least said good bye to him before leaving. Although a stranger to him, Yuya got a nice feeling from the boy. He wasn't scary like the other doctors and inmates Yuya has met. Then Yuya realized that if the front doors were open, he could go outside now! Yuya always wanted to go outside! Feeling a bit better, Yuya was about to turn around when suddenly, someone grabbed him.

Yuya tried to scream, but the person had placed their hand over his mouth. Yuya continued to struggle regardless, but his fight with the Basement Beast had left him tired out. Yuya's assaulter then took out a syringe and Yuya's struggles increases tenfold as suppressed memories resurfaced. But his assaulter had a stronger grip and shoved the needle into his neck.

Immediately the drug began to take effect and Yuya fell to the floor, everything numb. Out of the corner of his eye, Yuya could see a pair of feet. Yuya knew those shoes.

"I'm sorry, my child, but I had too." A soft female's voice said. A voice Yuya knew as well. "My apostle's work is not quite done yet, and he needs a guide." A soft hand pets his head. "I know you can see it. It's in your DNA. Our lord, the Supreme King, tears his truth into the unbelievers. The only way out of this place is the truth. Accept the gospel and all doors will be open before the both of you." She whispered.

Yuya wanted to ask about the boy with the camera and to ask why she was doing this, but pain and fear were clouding his thoughts and sleep quickly overtook him.

Zuzu: "What?! Ray would never do that to Yuya!"

Poppy: "But you all have to remember that this is an AU. Some of you are going to act differently because it's an alternate universe."

Celina: "What happen to Yuto at the end? Did he really leave Yuya behind like that?"

Valentine: "We'll find out next chapter."
