"What do you mean she's cursed?" Tony screeched. "Kelly can't be cursed!"

"I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do" Loki replied morosely. "There is a curse upon that girl. It is written in her veins - she will die on her 18th birthday."

"Not on my watch", Tony growled. "JARVIS, who do we know with an affinity for magic?"

A few hours later, Loki collapsed on the sofa, exhausted after his use of magic to summon certain fictional characters from throughout history.

"There you are Stark" he muttered. "One Merlin Emrys, one Harry Potter and one Kurt Hummell. These magic users should, between them, be able to remove the curse."

Merlin's eyes darted around the room. "Magic?" He stammered. "What? Who? Me? No, I was at the tavern with Gwaine I swear..."

Harry ran a hand through his messy black hair (as in the books, not the films). "Um...hello" he said. "What is his exactly?"

Kurt just looked confused. "Magic?" He queried. "Why am I here? I'm a gay diva, not a magician."

Loki shrugged. "I couldn't think of a third character with magic: I'm not familiar enough with Game of thrones to know if magic exists in that universe. You were close enough".

Kurt shrugged, muttering "touché".

"So!" Tony sprang up from the sofa where he had been reclining. "Potter and Emrys, can you remove the curse from this sweet, innocent angel? The girl is called Kelly and it is prophesied that she will die on her 18th birthday. Lokes says he can't remove it by himself."

Harry and Merlin looked at each other, shrugged, and looked back to Tony

"We'll give it out best shot".

"Well, we tried" Harry said as both he and Merlin finally admitted defeat.

"There's no arguing with destiny", Merlin concluded. "I learned that the hard way."

"Hang on," Harry frowned. "Didn't you resurrect Arthur and live together in sweet, sweet love for the rest of your days?"

"Shhhh" Merlin shushed. "Destiny, Harry. Destiny."

"The point is," Harry said, turning back to Tony, "that the curse is too powerful for even us three combined to remove. We're sorry. Kelly is going to die tonight."

Tony sat down and reached silently for the glass of scotch on the table.

"I would say 'God help her' but I know you've already tried Lokes," he tried to smile but ultimately failed. "Poor girl.."

The assorted fictional characters watched through a scrying crystal as the newly 18 year old girl flopped on to the sofa to watch TV.

"I can't watch" Merlin mumbled, turning away for fear of having to watch this majestic girl perish.

A tense hour later and Kelly had finished watching the programme.

"OH MY GOD!" She shrieked. "THAT WAS THE BEST EPISODE EVER. I AM LITERALLY DEAD RIGHT NOW. IM DEAD."

She proceeded to stuff her face with birthday cake and get smashed with all of her friends including Katie who is awesome.

Back in Stark tower, the characters looked at each other.

"Was that...it?" Harry asked.

There was a pause.

"It seems so", Loki responded. "I suppose I'd better pop you all back in your own universes. Thanks for trying mortals".

And so, not only did Kelly survive her 18th birthday but she watched the best episode of an unspecified TV show ever and also got very drunk. It was a good time.

The end.
