Bella tried she really did. She tired for one whole year. Jacob would come but he wouldn't stay long. He would come hold renesmee and then leave. He wouldn't talk to her or truly anyone. She could the fight in his eyes was no longer there. She tried to hold renesmee, feed her everything a mother was supposed to do but she would just hand her over to rose. At night, while she restlessly tried to sleep . she would hear laughter . It would be rose and her daughter watching a show or Edward playing the piano. All without her. She wasn't needed nor was she wanted. She and Edward had drifted apart. She even heard carsile murmur something about postpartum depression. But bella knew it was something more than that. She was surrounded by the supernatural. Her daughter wasn't fully human and nor did she act like it. It was..scary. She could not provide renesmee with what a mother was supposed to. Rosalie had it all under control. Alice took her shopping every once and a while but most of the times bella refused to go. Today was one of those days. Today it would just be her and renesmee. Edward, jasper and emmett were going to hunt, while alice and Rosalie were going shopping. Carsile was at the hospital and esme was in the garden
"maybe I should stay?" she heard Rosalie tell Emmett. "rosy, Bella is her mother she has it under control you have to give her a chance. The family been hogging her too much. Lets give bells a chance to be a mom."
Bella rolled her eyes of course, they would talk about her like she wasn't there. Edward kissed renesmee and then brushed his hand over her arm. He wasn't physical with her anymore. Not since the disastrous honeymoon that led to renesmee being born. By now renesmee was one year old but she looked five. She could walk and talk, Bella could read her a story because renesmee read them all. She couldn't make her a snack because she hunted with the rest of the family. She could out the tv on because renesmee didn't want to watch her show without rose. After much debate they finally agreed to watch Esme in the garden. As renesmee ran, Bella warned her to slow down. The words that came out of her mouth next were what led Bella to her decision. "you're not my mommy." Of course, esme scolded renesmee and told her to apologize but Bella wouldn't hear it. She simply found her car keys and told Esme she was going to visit Charlie. "what? Bella you cant! Carsile said-" bella cut her off. "I haven't seen my father in a whole year. If you guys think I don't know about the phone calls and lies you have told him. Your wrong! I may be… different but I am still me. I have to go."
Charlie swan was on his third beer. Sue clearwater just had been dating for a whole year now. He sat in the dark, with the tv on but he wasn't watching. He thought about his daughter. She had left on her honeymoon and never came would call but carsile said they had decided to stay out the country for a while. It made him angry, sad. All he truly had left was sue. He and billy had fallen out months ago. Charlie wanted to talk to the cullens but billy badgered him to leave it alone and then when Billy found out he and use were dating, billy refuse to see him. Charlie was truly ..lost. Rnee left him, he didn't know where bella was and- a loud knock disrupted him. He opened the door and there stood his daughter. "Bella!" he gasp. "dad!" she responded, Tears were pouring out of her eyes.
That night, bella told Charlie the truth. The whole truth. She didn't leave a detail out. It didn't take much for him to believe her. He was a cop, he knew when things were…off.
" I want to see the scars." Charlie demanded. Bella flinched. A few months ago, Edward had tried to change Bella. They were making out, maybe trying to get things started again. But when he smelled her arousal, he told her couldn't wait and needed to have her. he then bit didn't ask. She was grateful when carsile burst in the room and sucked it out. From that night on, Bella slept in a different room. Edward had apologized and showered her with gifts, but it meant nothing. She showed Charlie the bruises and the bites but also the cut from where Edward cut her open for renesmee to get out.
"Bella you cant go back to them. Look at you baby girl!" Charlie said as he hugged her. He was right she couldn't and she wasn't. "your right dad. I cant. Which why I have to leave and I need you to take me."
