Request: A short Leopril drabble

Paring: Leo x April

Rating: K +

A/N:This little drabble takes place sometime after April meets the turtles. She hasn't fully learned all of their quirks and interests yet, however she learns something new.

As April entered the lair, she noticed how dimly lit it was. She wasn't quite used to the place yet, but despite in being located in the sewers, it wasn't a bad place. As the view opened up to her, she noticed one of the guys sitting cross legged on the floor; their eyes glued to the screen.

April instantly recognized Leo and saw that he was watching Space Heroes. Taking note that he was absorbed in the show, she inched behind him and watched his reaction.

"Hmmm, I guess he's not always such a serious leader." Amused at the turtle in front of her, she thought to herself.

"Man, I wish I was just as great as Captain Ryan!" In an awed voice, he brought his clenched fists close to him as he exclaimed.

Quickly covering her mouth, she contained a snicker. This was too good for her to miss; no one else was around to spoil this rare opportunity. The guys always made jabs at Leo over this, but she hadn't had a chance to see it for herself yet.

She watched as he then lifted a finger and quoted a line in the show. The urge to laugh only grew, but she held her composure. Leo's quirk was quite cute as well as funny in her opinion.

"It's nice to see him so passionate over something. He really takes heroism seriously." Her blue eyes gleamed as she silently noted.

Shifting her weight side to side, she placed her free hand on her hip. Her mind shifted to different thoughts and ideas. Contemplating the notion that she should leave him be, her thought was instantly cut off when he jumped in delight.

"Yes! That's what true hero is!"

Seeing the young turtle act with that much enthusiasm was too much and finally, April cracked. A cheery laugh escaped her lips. At the sudden outburst, Leo spun on his heel to face her.

His face became flushed and his indigo eyes went wide with embarrassment. "Oh…hey, April…" scratching his face, he started fumbling with his words. He felt exposed, which caused his voice to go up a few notches. "…uh…you saw that…didn't you?"

After the question was asked, he hung his head slightly and glanced down at the floor. Leo hadn't known her for very long and it felt awkward to have an outsider see how he gets sometimes.

April saw his embarrassment and something twinged inside her. Lightly stepping closer to him, she offered a sympathetic smile. "Yeah, I did. However, it's not bad." Then shifting her eyes away she lifted her hands. "I mean, I didn't think you could be easy going. You're always so serious around me."

From the corner of her eye, she watched him rub the back of his neck and become an even brighter shade of red. "He's actually kind of cute if you look at him closely." With a slight smirk, she noted.

Then facing him once more, she placed her hands on his shoulders. "Don't worry, I don't think you're stupid or anything. Actually, you're kinda cute." Then giving him a slight wink, she let go and backed away.

She then decided she wanted to sit down, so she plopped herself on one of the cushions. Instantly, April noticed Leo's mouth was hanging open and there was steam coming off of him.

"Y-y-you think I-I'm cute?" He studdered, his voice barely audible.

Dipping her head in response, she replied "That's what I said. Now would you like to sit with me so we can finish watching this?"

Leo clamped his mouth shut and nodded. He then sat down next to her, his weight sinking into the cushion. She noticed he had a smile plastered on his face and grinned at the sight. It was hard to concentrate on the show, since he was fidgeting and kept stealing glances at her the entire , she was having a good time.
