A day had passed since Hawkfrost had been recruited for the SSC, (The Squirrelflight Stunt Company), and he already absolutely hated it.
He was sitting in the highest branch of a tall tree, gazing down at the large rock he was supposed to land on.
"C'mon Hawkfrost! Just one more time and you'll be done for the day.. well, with this stunt anyway!" Squirrelflight's cheery voice sounded from below.
Hawkfrost was bleeding from several places; obviously from failed attempts at the stunt.
"..Fine." He sighed, and got to his paws, looking over the edge of the branch. Focus on the rock.. Focus on the rock..
He turned to say something to Squirrelflight, but she wasn't there.
"Where did you g- AH!" Hawkfrost gasped as Squirrelflight came up behind him and pushed him off the tree limb.
He landed roughly on the rock, and rolled off onto the floor.
He stayed laying there for a moment, until he felt somebody nudging him with a paw. "You okay, Hawkfrost?"
Hawkfrost glanced up, and saw Brambleclaw sitting there. "Yeah, I'm okay." He sat up and shook his fur out; he was bleeding even more now.
"Oh hi Brambleclaw!" Squirrelflight came up from behind.
"Hi, I actually came to speak to you." Brambleclaw turned to his mate, ear flicking. "Where are Lionblaze and Ashfur?" He asked.
"They're off for the day." Hawkfrost replied, a twinge of annoyance in his voice. "Me and Squirrelflight are the only ones here."
"Oh, I see." Brambleclaw glanced back at his half-brother; who looked purely annoyed.
"I wish I had more employees, I've had seven cats call me today looking for a stuntcat for a movie!" Squirrelflight meowed.
"Hey, whatever happened to Leafpool? She volunteered to work here for you." Brambleclaw asked.
"Leafpool backed out. Medicine Cat Duties." Squirrelflight replied.
"Oh, I see." Brambleclaw replied. "Anyway, Squirrelflight, I came here to ask you when you plan to be off work? You still have duties in Thunderclan."
"Tomorrow we'll all be off work," Squirrelflight replied, smiling. "So I should be home all day tomorrow!"
"Okay, good. I'll put you on the dawn patrol." Brambleclaw then turned back to Hawkfrost.
Hawkfrost was grooming his fur, which was matted with blood and very dirty.
"You could defintely use a day off work, Squirrelflight's working you to death." Brambleclaw commented, staring at Hawkfrost.
"Quite literally." Hawkfrost replied, looking up at Brambleclaw. "And I feel like she's doing it on purpose." He glared at Squirrelflight.
"That's absolutely ridiculous!" Squirrelflight hissed, overdramatically, fur bristling. "Ashfur and Lionblaze don't complain!"
"That's because Ashfur is just the superviser, and Lionblaze is abnormally strong." Hawkfrost growled, ears pinning back.
"And they don't have to jump off trees onto rocks!" He added, still growling.
"Lionblaze used to!" Squirrelflight replied. "Now he's graduated to the hill thingy." She glanced back at the stunt Lionblaze had been doing the day before.
Hawkfrost was about to make another smart reply, but Brambleclaw inturrupted him.
"Would you both stop arguing?" Brambleclaw hissed, glaring at both Hawkfrost and Squirrelflight.
Squirrelflight hissed. "Hawkfrost started it!" She glared at the tom, menacingly.
"No I did not! You started this whole thing! I wouldn't even be working here if it wasn't for you!" Hawkfrost growled.
"Hawkfrost, Squirrelflight! That's enough!" Brambleclaw got inbetween the two of them, hissing.
The two of them calmed down a bit, but still glared at eachother. "Back in the tree, Hawkfrost." Squirreflight ordered.
"I want you to do that 3 more times, I'll be back in a few minutes. Brambleclaw, come with me." Squirrelflight turned and stormed out of the building.
Brambleclaw stayed for a minute, turning and watching Hawkfrost climb back onto the tree branch.
"Be careful, brother. Don't hurt yourself any worse." Brambleclaw meowed, worriedly.
Hawkfrost just nodded, eyes focused on the rock. He looked up for a second, watching as Brambleclaw left.
He sighed, and focused back on the rock. I've got to land this jump...
He was just about to jump, when a voice came from behind. "Hi, Hawkfrost!"
Hawkfrost jumped out of his skin, and whirled around to see his sister, Mothwing, standing behind him on the branch.
"..Oh, Hi Mothwing." He sat down, flicking his tail. "What're you doing here?"
"I'm your new superviser until Squirrelflight's back." Mothwing replied, smiling.
Hawkfrost wasn't sure if he felt relieved or slightly scared by the fact his sister, and his Medicine Cat, would be supervising him.
He turned back to what he was supposed to be doing, gazing down at the rock.
He focused completely on the rock, although still aware of Mothwing watching him from behind.
He leaped off the branch, and landed perfectly on the rock. He sighed with relief, sitting down and glancing up at Mothwing.
"That was very good." Mothwing was gazing down from the branch. "But a tad dangerous, don't you think?"
"Blame Squirrelflight, not me." Hawkfrost got back to his paws, and climbed back up the tree.
Just as he was about to jump, Squirrelflight burst in the door, a absoulutely ridiculous grin on her face.
"What are you so excited about?" Hawkfrost glanced to the side.
Squirrelflight looked at him, shaking with excitement. "You and Lionblaze got in a movie!"
