Ned and Hazelle walked, to class together. Talking about summer as if they were old friends. He couldn't stop talking about Jennifer, what they did. How he felt. She did the same. Their words drawing to a close they sat next to each other in their first class.
It was First period, for Literature 1.
"All right class! Settle down. My name is Mrs. Jones, I am your Lit 1 teacher, this first quarter we will be learning reading comprehension, we will be reading 4 stories, and 1 drama, with assigned course work."
The class droned, seeing as how they were all freshmen, and maybe 3 or so sophomores and juniors.
'People in higher grades repeat easy classes, like this?' Ned thought.
"Oh, class don't start, just because it is the first day does not mean, teachers will go easy. High school is where it matters. SO Work is what you will have and do. You will have Homework every night, and tests every Friday, with Quizzes every Wednesday. I am not a easy-going teacher, I will not let anything slide, and have no slacking. Seeing has how, it is Monday, our first quiz is in 2 days. A simple vocabulary one. So lets get started shall we?"
The whole class boo'd in disapproval.
As the hour ticked by, the class finished and they headed to gym, since both Ned, and Hazelle have every class together, they get to walk to every one.
They parted ways, to the changing rooms.
"Hazelle! Oh my gosh I haven't seen you since Middle School! What's up? Anything new?"
"Well, I just met this boy..."
"You're blushing! Is he cute? Are you guys dating?"
"Mary-Beth, geez. I just met him today, but I think he's cute, we have every class together! Even lunch! I hope this is the one!"
"I think he might be."
There were whispers going on in the lockers. Hazelle, took her clothes to the stall. No way she was changing in front of all those higher ups.
Both Mary-Beth and Hazelle, emerged from the locker, dressed in gym wear. It was only the first day, but teachers were so strict here.
"Listen up, this gym is separated by the classes. That half is the junior and seniors. This half we are in are for freshmen and sophomores. We have assigned course work, or activities that the classes will do. Right now before we do our activities, we will go outside, and do our 4 laps around the track."
