Chapter 2: More than a illustrator

By the way for Loki's poem its lyrics from a song call "Ghost Town" by Adam Lambert, you guys should listen to that song when its Loki's time to share his poem.

Mammoth93: Thank you for enjoying my story and I will still continue this story.

From that being said enjoy the story!

Loki's POV

Monika: Ok everyone lets share poems!

Loki: Um Monika

Monika: Yes Loki?

Loki: Can I sing my poem?

Loki: I brought my guitar

In the closet at the bottom of the shelf next to some of Natsuki's manga

Monika: Sure, poems are meant to express your emotions you can do anything to express your poem

Loki: Ok thank you

I sat at the corner of the room when we were starting to share poems waiting for someone to go to me cause I was too anxious to confront any of them. The first person to come to me was Monika.

Monika: Who should start?

Loki: I think you, i want to surprise you

Monika: Oh~

Monika: Ok then~

A teenagers dream. Something few deserve,

something most don't get. The word that you think can

change your image, looks, and life.

And then you graduate,

and then you realize,

popularity,tr

is just a title

and means nothing,

In the real world.

Loki: Oh I really like it!

Monika: R-really?

Loki: Yeah!

Loki: It talks about how being popular doesn't matter once you get older

One fact about Monika is, she's really popular in school I usually see her with a lot of people that I used to think were her "friends" but then I started noticing that most of her "friends" were with her just to become popular

which must feels lonely knowing the fact that people don't want to know the true her.

Monika: T-thank you...

Loki: Huh? why?

Monika: For your compliment

Loki: You shouldn't thank me just for saying a nice comment on you

Loki: You're just as much as a person to me ok?

Loki: It doesn't matter how popular you are, I will try to be the best friend you will ever have ok?

While I was saying that I saw Monika looking flustered and was starting to cry, I hugged her as comfort and tried to be as comforting to her as possible and was relieved that non of my club members noticed us at our position at the moment.

Monika: *sniff* I-i'm sorry...

Loki: No need to apologize I know how you feel to be alone...

A couple minutes pass

Loki: Ok, i'll start

I gave her my paper that had the lyrics of the music

Loki: In 5,4,3,2,1, and GO!

Died last night in my dreams Walking the streets

Of some old ghost town I tried to believe In God and

James Dean But Hollywood sold out Saw all of the saints

Lock up the gates I could not enter Walked into the flames

Called out your name But there was no answer And now I

know my heart is a ghost town My heart is a ghost town My heart

is a ghost town My heart is a ghost town Died last night in my dreams

All the machines Had been disconnected Time was thrown at the wind And

all of my friends Had been disaffected Now, I'm searching for trust In

a city of rust A city of vampires Tonight, Elvis is dead And everyone's

spread And love is a satire And now I know my heart is a ghost town

My heart is a ghost town My heart is a ghost town My heart is a ghost

town There's no one left in the world I'm gun slingin' Don't give a fuck

if I go Down, down, down I got a voice in my head that keeps singing

Oh, my heart is a ghost town My heart is a ghost town Oh, my

heart is a ghost town (Said, my heart) My heart

is a ghost town My heart is a ghost town

As I was done singing, in the corner of my Eye I see Monika quietly clapping her hands and her face in awe of what came out of my mouth

Monika: Wow!

Monika: You're such a good singer!

Monika: I can't wait to see the girl's reaction of you singing

I lower my ears and scratching my leg from hearing her say those nice words to me.

Loki: Heh, me too Monika, me too

when we were done with our poems I went to Natsuki to share our poems

Loki: Um Natsuki,is it ok if you go first?

Natsuki: Why?

Loki: B-because uh

Loki: I want see how you do it

Natsuki: So you want to see a pro do it?

Loki: Y-yeah that

Natsuki: Ha! i'll show you who's boss

Monkeys can climb

Crickets can leap

Horses can race

Owls can seek

Cheetahs can run

Eagles can fly

People can try

But that's about it.

Loki: Ay, that's pretty good

Natsuki: Wait, really?

Loki: Yeah, I like how you made it simple is

Natsuki: That's how a pro does it!

Loki: Hehehe yes indeed

Loki: Oh, by the way i'm singing mine if you don't mind

Natsuki: Sure its not gonna be as good as mind though!

While i'm ignoring her comment, I give her my lyrics of my music and take out my guitar and start singing

My heart is a ghost town My heart is a ghost town My heart is a ghost

town There's no one left in the world I'm gun slingin' Don't give a fuck

Oh, my heart is a ghost town My heart is a ghost town Oh, my

heart is a ghost town (Said, my heart) My heart

is a ghost town My heart is a ghost town

Loki: What do you think

Natsuki: Its good I guess...

Loki: Thanks!

Natsuki: I-its not as bad as I expect

Natsuki: A-and its not like I like it or anything!...dummy...

I guess she isn't the admitting kind of person or open, but that's ok I guess she isn't used talking to other people.

Loki: Yours was pretty good too

I probably said too much because she acted very flustered about what I said

Natsuki: T-thank you...

That was maybe the first time she opened up to me which is still progress to me, even if its just a simple "Thank You". We both went to our next person to share to and it was Sayori, which was as happy as she can be walking up to me.

Sayori: Hi Loki!

Loki: What up

Loki: Can you share first?

Sayori: Of course!

My friend, my only friend

The one that helps me wake up

The one that jokes around with me

The one that sees me as who I am

They treat me like a normal person

They give me warm and welcoming hugs

They are the only friend I love

The only one I see more than a friend

I love them...

Loki: Wow you did a great job!

Sayori: *blushes* Thanks...

Well then... I knew she had some romantic feelings for me, but I didn't expect her to create a poem about it. I think I should play dumb and act like we're normal best friends until she confesses to me because if I just say it out loud its gonna be really awkward if I call her out out of nowhere.

Loki: It feels like two friends were the best of friends but then one of them developed feeling for the other person

Sayori: Y-yeah t-that's right

Loki: Also i'm singing mine so here you go

I once again gave the paper to Sayori and started singing.

Oh, my heart is a ghost town My heart is a ghost town Oh, my

heart is a ghost town (Said, my heart) My heart

is a ghost town My heart is a ghost town

Sayori: Wow!

Sayori: I didn't know you sang

Loki:Well you know something new then

Sayori: See? you're more talented than me

Loki: Don't lower yourself just because I can sing and draw

Loki: Plus you also have some talent

Sayori: Oh yeah, like what?

Loki: Making people happy, especially me

Sayori: *blushes* Aw~

Sayori: You're so sweet~

When we were done sharing I went to my last person to share with which was Yuri.

Yuri: H-hi

Loki: Hi, anyways lets share poems

Yuri: R-right...

Loki: Sorry if this is too much

Loki: But can your start first?

Yuri: Sure...

The tendrils of my hair illuminate beneath the amber glow.

Bathing.

It must be this one.

The last remaining streetlight to have withstood the test of time.

the last yet to be replaced by the sickening blue-green hue of the future.

I bathe. Calm; breathing air of the present but living in the past.

The light flickers.

I flicker back.

Loki: Wow!

Loki: You did a good job on this!

Yuri: Thanks...*blushes*

Loki: No need to thank me

Loki: I really like how you made the metaphors

Loki: It really makes you think

Yuri: O-ok I think its your turn to s-share

Loki: Oh yeah!

Loki: By the way, i'm singing my poem

Once again I give her the piece of paper, ready my guitar and start singing.

Died last night in my dreams Walking the streets

Of some old ghost town I tried to believe In God and

James Dean But Hollywood sold out Saw all of the saints

Lock up the gates I could not enter Walked into the flames

Called out your name But there was no answer And now I

Oh, my heart is a ghost town My heart is a ghost town Oh, my

heart is a ghost town (Said, my heart) My heart

is a ghost town My heart is a ghost town

Yuri: Y-you have a great singing voice

Loki: Oh thank!

Yuri: I think the lyrics are really symbolic

Loki: Oh, its about a man's disconnect to love

I have know idea what i'm saying right now

Yuri: S-so are you going to be singing all of your poems?

Loki: Yeah I am

Loki: Its perfect for me to practice writing my own lyrics

Yuri: That's good to know

While we were done sharing poems, we were ready to go home, but then...

Monika: On, I have an announcement

Monika: We're gonna be performing our poems

Natsuki: No way!

Sayori: Why not Natsuki?

Yuri: I agree with Natsuki

Monika: But we have to do something for the festival

Sayori: I agree with Monika, we should try performing for the festival

Natsuki: Wait!

Natsuki: How about Loki? he should be the tie breaker here!

Loki: I'm with Sayori and Monika in this

Loki: We should try new things out of our boundries

Monika: Than that's 2 to 3 it settles it!

Natsuki: Aw! come on!

Loki: I don't think its that bad

Natsuki: How is it NOT bad!?

Loki: Its ok try new things

Loki: If you guys try it and still don't like it then we can try something else next year ok?

Natsuki: You know wait?

Natsuki: F-fine, but its not because I like you or anything dummy...

Huh... never knew she like me that much wait, if she also likes me romantically and Sayori likes me romantically than what will happen if one of them confesses to me? Don't think about it. It isn't important right now.

Monika: Ok everyone! club dismiss!

Loki: Ay! Sayori are you ready?

Sayori: I'm always ready!

Loki: Fair enough

While we were going home I wanted to talk to her about my absents of her life

Loki: So, Sayori how was everything when I left?

Sayori: I was pretty lonely when you left and thought you would never come back

Sayori: But I wasn't entirely lonely shortly after you left I met Monika

Loki: So that's how you guys created the Literature Club?

Sayori: Pretty much

Loki: At least you have Monika when I wasn't here

Sayori: Yeah, she a great friend

We parted ways to our home and I made some Fettuccine Alfredo and ate dinner with Sayori, then I made my poem, brushed my teeth, and head to bed.

Good Night...
