Jolly Gang – Chapter 2 an adventure begins

…10 years later…

Deep within the forest Luffy was slowly saying his goodbyes to the mountain bandits that had been his family for the last 10 years. A lot had changed over the years, for once Luffy had become a lot stronger and was no longer the little kid he used to be, he had grown into a tall young man, with a boyish charm to his facial features. The many years of training with his grandfather had left small almost invisible scar all over his body, but it had also been good for his body leaving him with long but muscular limbs and an equally muscular body although his musculature was nowhere near his monstrous grandpa. He had a pair of mirth-filled red eyes and his hair still had its eye catching dark red color, his hair was currently an unruly pointy mess, with the bangs slicked back and it was a little long for a guy, but the mountain bandits liked it, and Makino had told him that it added to his attractiveness, so he liked to keep it that way.

He was currently wearing a black pair of pointy shoes with metal buckles on their outward sides, black jeans ending in a short fur, the jeans hanging low enough that they just covered his crotch and pubic hair, a black striped white shirt with the sleeves folded so they just covered his elbows, the buttons had been left haphazardly buttoned leaving the top of his muscular chest exposed and you could see where his six pack ended just above the jeans, in his loose hanging black belt was his cutlass strapped on his left side with an ornamental dagger just above it and on his right side was his revolver each weapon a gift from a family member, on his left arms was a black bead bracelet gifted to him by the mountain bandits, but the first thing one would notice about the young man would be his trademark smile showing off his pearly whites.

"hey Dadan Luffy's finally sailing out!" one of the bandits yelled back at their leader.

"aren't you going to give him a big goodbye?" a second bandit continued asking.

"yeah we probably won't be seeing him for a longtime" another bandit finished and patted Dadan on her shoulder slowly understanding what was happening.

The mountain bandit leader was a tall overweight woman. She had long curly orange hair giving her the name Curly Dadan, and a masculine face which had frightened many men but never her bandits or Luffy, who she was very protective of ever since he was dropped off so many years ago becoming a kinda adoptive son. She was currently wearing a white shirt and checkered green pants and a cigarette in her mouth.

"NO! if the brats gonna be an idiot and travel out to the sea to die chasing some stupid dream I ain't wasting my time on him" she said stoically while facing away from everyone stupid kid why can't you just stay with us, I'm gonna miss you so much

shishishishi Luffy's smile turning a little maliciously think I'm gonna have a little fun with Dadan "WUUUAAAAH DADAN DOESN'T LIKE ME ANYMORE, SHE'S NOT EVEN GOING TO MISS MEEEEE‼" Luffy screamed while covering his eyes.

"UUUUOOOH OF COURSE I'M GONNA MISS YA, YA LITTLE PUNK‼" Dadan turned around showing that she was in fact crying with snot hanging out of nose, while the other bandits were looking at their leader with smiles and fondness in their eyes, thinking of all the moments shared between the usually stoic bandit leader and the redhead. Luffy slowly removed his hand showing that he had been faking it and still had his trademark smile on his face, and before anyone could react he scooped the broader woman up in a bear hug.

"HAHAHAHA, is that so aaaaaah I'm so glad to hear it Dadan I'm gonna miss you too ya old hag HAHAHAHA"

"You shitty brat, why do ya always have to play tricks like that on me!?" Dadan yelled while giving Luffy a light punch on the head, before she started crying again and hugging the boy who had been bringing so much happiness to the mountain bandits over the years, her last kind of adoptive son to leave to follow that stupid dream, in her eyes "I'm really gonna miss ya you big idiot, you better survive out there and come back again!"

Luffy sat her back down on the ground picking up his backpack that was almost bigger than himself containing food, rum and the mountains of money he had earned throughout the years by challenging and killing people with bounties on their head, and heading for the door before turning around.

"Sure I'll be coming back to see ya when I've conquered the grand line and taken my title," He said with determination in his eyes, the mountain bandits had heard him yell it so many times over the years that they instantly knew he would say something like that and just sighed with fondness, his grin then changed intensity and he got a playful look in his eyes "I'll also be sure to bring back a lot of grandkids for ya Dadan"

"JUST LEAVE ALREADY YA LITTLE PERVERT" every bandit yelled after him making Luffy run out the door with a laugh I'm already looking forward to it bastard Dadan thought while grabbing a tissue from her cleavage to stem the tides of tear that just wouldn't stop.

...with Luffy...

Luffy stood just outside the mountains bandits hideout taking in one last big lung full of air from the forest that had been his homes, thinking of all the years he had spent training here, and all the fun he had with his brothers. With one last big laugh sounding out throughout the forest he took of at an inhuman speed towards the little port village Foosha, making a gust of wind that was powerful enough to almost make the trees fall over, and every giant animal in his way to be swept up in his wake and sent flying.

From the village where a small boat had been prepared for the young man, the villagers stood waiting while looking out towards the forest. They could see the dust which was kicked up in Luffy's wake as he made his way towards them and just how fast he was moving. The mayor standing beside Makino the inn keeper who had only become more beautiful over the years, was the first to make a comment on the spectacle they were seeing with a great big sigh.

"it'll be good to be rid of a monster like that, he'd just end up bringing trouble to the village"

"no need to talk like, we know you're gonna miss him just like everyone else mayor" Makino said with a sweet smile on her face.

She had barely finished her sentence when the dust cloud had reached them and slowly dissipated to show the young man they had all been waiting for, and the villagers quickly moved forward to bid him farewell

"so your finally going to go out to seas huh Luffy?" the first man by his side said.

"You'd better make sure to make this village proud" another woman said trying to sound stern but failing with a smile on her face.

"if you end up with a bunch of beauties be sure to bring'em back eh eh" a man joked japing his elbow into Luffy's side.

"stupid if he ends with a couple of ladies, I'm gonna bet he is going to bring back a bunch of kids back with'em" what appeared to be the formers wife said smacking her husbands head continuing to joke.

"your probably right hahah" The villagers stated starting to talk over each other to be heard, with Luffy in the middle his height making him stand taller than them and looking over them with a goofy grin like always on his face, bringing in random people in one armed hugs and hand-shakes. Makino started making her way forward to say her own goodbye leaving the mayor to stand just outside the circle with a slight frown on his face "he's going to bring shame to whole village" he grunted.

When he finally had gotten every farewell over with, even the grumpy old mayor, Luffy made his way towards the boat before jumping in and noticing that the villagers had left a big barrel of vegetables for him. Untying his boat and pushing off from the port he made his way out towards the sea waving back at all the villagers. They all suddenly got a panicked look on their faces yelling and gesturing around Luffy. Haha what are they doing, those idiots looking towards Makino he saw that she was the only one still with a smile on her face pointing behind Luffy, making him turn his head and see the giant sea king that had lived for so many years in the bay with a murderous look in its eyes looking at Luffy as his next snack. Luffy didn't show any outward reaction just looking at the sea king with his smile on his face, before sending out a wave of haki making the sea king start shaking, now looking at the much smaller human with fears in its eyes.

"shu shu, get out off here you ugly fish" he gave a dismissal wave making the sea king dive underwater and flee. Most of the villagers except the mayor and Makino watching the young man scare away the scourge of the sea as if it was nothing, with their jaws hitting the ground. The mayor just continued sighing with Makino smiling besides him.

"He's going to make big waves in the world, wouldn't you agree mayor" Makino just said fondly looking after the young man she would miss dearly. Her and the mayor stayed the longest just looking at the little boat in the horizon gently being rocked by the waves.

"you miss him don't you?" the mayor asked not referring to Luffy.

"yeeeah" she answered back lazily with a red tint to her cheeks, reminiscing about her times with the bright redhaired man. "I haven't seen him for so long"

"haaaa if I know him right he'll be back eventually, you're the only reason he kept coming back in the first place" he finished slowly walking home, leaving Makino to stare out at the now empty waters hugging herself and feeling lonely without the two redheads in her life.

"and now Luffy left too… I hope you're right mayor… I miss him dearly"

… meanwhile with Luffy…

He had only spent a couple of hours at sea before the waves started throwing the little boat around, stormy clouds quickly spreading overhead. This ain't good. He started looking around wildly before noticing that his boat was slowly being dragged into a whirlpool. Shit! I don't want to deal with this right now… wait a minute I could probably ride it out in this barrel. Hitting the top of the barrel and finding it sturdy enough he threw his backpack into it and slowly started to squish himself into it and closing the lid.

…awhile after on a cruise just overtaken by the Alvida pirates…

Coby a teenager with pink hair, round glasses and baby fat on his cheek, with a brown t-shirt and blue jeans and an otherwise completely ordinary look, to the point of boring, had just checked the kitchen for supplies and had found an unusually big barrel, and where trying to bring it up on the deck of the captured ship, to present to his captor Lady Alvida, the most terrifying person he had ever met. "wonder what they have in such a big…. Omg its heavy I think I'm going to need help" he was brought out of his thought by someone putting their foot on the barrel stopping him in his pathetic attempt to roll it, he quickly looked up to see three pirates from Alvida's crew standing in his way.

"Coooby what are you doing?" one of the pirates asked menacingly.

"ju- ju-just bringing this barrel to Alvida" he quickly stammered hoping to avoid a beating.

"huuuuh, Alvida doesn't need to know about this barrel does she Coooby?" another of the pirates answered.

"yeah just forget you ever saw it… my, my look at how big it is, and it's so heavy its probably full of rum haha" The last pirate said giddy over their find.

"bu-bu-but Alvida?" Coby tried before being back handed by one of the pirates making him fall over.

"just shut up ya wimp…" one of the pirates started before noticing that the barrel was slowly shaking, before the barrel burst open throwing the pirates into the wall knocking them out with a shock wave from the burst. Coby noticed that the barrel hadn't been filled with rum or food but instead contained an armed young man a little older than himself with a big bag. what is he smiling about, doesn't he realize what kind of situation he is in, and what the fuck was he doing in that barrel.

Luffy meanwhile was stretching and taking in his surroundings "ooooooh fuck" he said with a big crack coming from his neck "didn't realize just how fucking uncomfortable it would be to take a nap in barrel, wouldn't recommend it hahaha"

"WHAT KINDA IDIOT TAKES A NAP IN A BARREL" Coby screamed wide-eyed and slack-jawed completely taken back by Luffy's words.

"HAHAHAHA, this idiot" Luffy said thump pointing towards himself "name's Monkey D. Luffy, future pirate king"

"Co…by" Coby answered stunned by Luffy he gotta be an idiot, no one else would have such a crazy dream and say it so easily like presenting themselves.

"shishishi nice to meet ya Coby, know where there is any food kinda starving and don't want to take from my own supply just yet" patting his backpack and looking around, Coby just pointed at a cabin in the other end of the kitchen still stunned. Luffy just started searching through the cabin eating whatever he found that looked delicious "oooooh jack pot, see here Coby rum and not the cheap kind shishishi, want some, yeah you probably do, looks like someone who could use a drink hahaha" He said throwing a bottle at Coby making I'm fumble with it before catching it and bringing it to his lips yeeeeah this guy ain't right in the head.

"So what'cha doing around here" Luffy answered trying to figure out the kid

"i-I'm a cabin boy on the Alvida pirate ship" he stammered

"oooh a fellow pirate, how nice" Luffy looked back at Coby excited by the prospect of meeting another pirate.

"not by choice mind you" Coby mumbled, not wanting to be heard

"huh what do you mean?"

shit he heard me "no-nothing just talking to myself"

Luffy made his way over to Coby shit he's gonna kill me, this is it but instead Luffy just brought his arm around his shoulder, standing at Coby's side slowly emptying a bottle.

"come on, you can trust me," Luffy said and Coby looking into his eyes found himself believing him he truly wants to know… and I don't feel like he would judge even though my dream is so different from his and would make us enemies

"I accidently got onboard a pirate ship when I went out fishing, my real dream is being a marine catching bad guys all around the world" he started out meekly looking down towards his feet with shame before looking at this guy he found himself trusting with his deepest dream, looking at him with stars in his eyes

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH you accidently got on a pirate- HAHAHAHAH that has got to be the funniest story I have ever heard HAHAHAHAHAH" Luffy burst out laughing making Coby redden with embarrassment, before Luffy turned to him with stars in his eyes looking down at Coby "but I like ya dream kid, sailing the world, protecting innocent, fighting the biggest baddest criminals this world has ever seen, it's a good dream you should follow it, even though it would make us enemies" Coby found himself slowly sporting the same grin of the guy who had so willingly supported his dream despite it making them enemies

"YEEEAH‼ I'm gonna do it, and the first one I'm gonna catch is ALVIDA‼" he yelled in excitement before the person he was so excited to catch burst through the roof with her giant spiked mace which had killed so many people earning her a bounty of 5 million berries, which at that moment where covered with the blood of the crewmembers on the cruise. Her brutality had also earned her the pirate crew's loyalty making them grovel at her feet proclaiming her the most beautiful women in the world.

"who did you say you where going to catch you maggot" she said angrily while glaring at the kid.

She was easily the fattest person Luffy had ever seen, she was almost as wide as she was tall, and every step made her belly fat jiggle. Her pink checkered shirt, and blue jean short where fighting to contain her body, and a blue sash tied around her stomach, or are those hips, were holding a pistol in the front. The purple pirate coat she was sporting barely reached her giant ass and it was obvious it was a couple of sizes to small the way the sleeves dug into her arm fat.

Her face was covered with unattractive freckles and her neck was almost impossible to distinguish from her face and body due to the fat, if weren't for the red bandana tied tightly around her throat pushing her double chins up and making them more pronounced. She had long slightly curly black hair which was quite greasy and reached beyond her shoulders which were barely visible under the fat, and on her head she had a white cowboy hat with a red feather in the side.

Luffy looked on this spectacle wide eyed, in what the onlookers believed to be fear despite his smile. Meanwhile Alvida was now checking out the red-haired man she had never seen before my my he is pretty good looking, and those muscle mmmmhh yum looking at his biceps and what was visible under the shirt with a slowly spreading wicked grin. maybe I should make him part of my crew, wouldn't mind him groveling at my feet.

"pffft HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA‼" Luffy fell over backward holding his stomach and slapping the ground "HAHAHAHA! what the fuck HAHAHAHAHA! Coby why didn't you warn me HAHAHAHAHA! look at her she is so fat HAHAHAHAHAHA‼"

"you FUCKER‼" Alvida roared in anger, her face completely red and bringing her giant mace down on the insolent little bastard

"Luffy watch out!" Coby yelled out to late in panick no no no, he'll never be able dodge it he's dead

But to the shock of everyone watching, the red-haired guy had stopped the mace even before it reached him with his bare hand without a scratch.

"EEEEEEH he stopped it, but no man is stronger than Alvida!" the onlooking pirate crew screamed, looking through the hole Alvida had made with her entrance, with Coby looking on completely pale with fear.

what! How is he this strong, I can't even get my mace back from him, who is he? The woman wondered.

"mmmmmmmhhh" Luffy was now looking at Alvida up and down thoughtfully with his eternal smile never leaving making her surprisingly blush "aaah it's such a shame, if you lost all that fat I bet you would be pretty sexy, well nothing I can do about it try losing it wherever you end up" He finished before bringing up his fist holding it close to his hip.

"JOLLY ROGER – PUNCH‼"

Punching her in the gut at speed none of the onlookers could follow, his arm digging into her stomach sending ripples through her body fat, her eyes rolling into the back of her skull, before Alvida was suddenly sent flying by the force out towards the horizon with a twinkle, to the shock of her crew who could only look on in fear. Coby meanwhile was beside himself.

"How did you-, that was so-, you're not human impossible"

"HAHAHA aaaah it was nothing" Luffy answered in embarrassment while scratching his head, before being interrupted by the sounds of cannonballs.

"it's the marine‼ everybody back to the ship" could be heard from the deck. Lifting Coby by the collar and his back pack with the other arm Luffy ran out the kitchen and up towards the deck.

"not good, gotta find a boat, come on Coby! I'm bringing you to marine base"

"eeeeh but you're a pirate, you'll be in trouble!"

"hahaha like I care, were friends right? So I'm going to help you fulfill your dream!" Coby could only look on in admiration as he were carried onto the deck friend? He could barely believe what he just heard. We've barely met, and he already sees me as a friend, and he would go to such lengths to help me…

Finally getting to the deck they could see that most of the pirates had already abandoned the ship. Without even looking over the railing he threw his backpack over the side, following closely behind, knowing there was a boat through his observation haki.

"Found one we just have to share" wait wait how does he know were all Coby had time to think before they were falling.

"Heads up!" Luffy yelled down at the girl he knew would be in the boat.

"AAAAAAH WERE GONNA CRASH IT" shrieked the struggling Coby, held tight in place underneath Luffy's arm.

"HAHAHA nope" Luffy answered before safely landing in the boat making it rock and causing the girl to squeak in surprise

"eeeek! Are you insane?!"

"hehehe nope again, hold on I'm gonna row us out of here before were caught in the crossfire" Luffy stated unceremoniously before grabbing the oars and rowing them away from the ship being attacked, each row making waves bigger than the lifeboat they were currently in.

…a little while after…

"there should be safe distance, can't see the boat anymore hahaha" Luffy laughed making the two passengers look on in amazement at the man before them. who is this guy? Jumping out the sky all of sudden? Well it probably shouldn't be surprising he can row that fast with muscles like-

The girl thought before her eyes started wandering, noticing that the bottom button of his shirt where left unbuttoned leaving part of his six pack in view, and she finally noticed that he had switched seats with the pink haired boy and now sat beside her draping his arm over shoulder making her blush.

"names Monkey D. Luffy the little guys Coby, what's yours? And what's a cutie like you doing out here?" the red-haired guy asked with a big grin on his face that on any other would have looked lecherous or forced but the girl found herself finding it looking all to natural on the attractive red head. Smacking his arm away she finally answered.

"Nami and I'm stealing treasure" "why did I say that? I didn't need to tell him anything" she found herself far more trusting of the guy, she just met, than she should but there was just something about him and his smile that made her talk. Coby was now staring at her skeptically but Luffy just continued smiling at her without a care in the world before starting to check her out making her blush again.

She had short orange hair barely reaching her neck, and in Luffy's eyes the most beautiful pair of brown eyes he had ever seen. She was wearing a pair of high-heeled gladiator sandals, a very short orange skirt, a white t-shirt with blue stripes and a V-neck low enough to give a hint of cleavage, speaking of which she had quite the sizeable pair of breast each one a good handful for Luffy, he had never quite understood the size system of breast despite him asking Makino many times to explain it. She also had a pair of long slender legs and Luffy slowly bend over trying to see what kind of underwear she wore before she clogged him hard over the head leaving a lump.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING PERVERT‼" she yelled murder in her eyes, but she saw how he looked back at her as if not understanding he did anything wrong "is he an idiot" changing topic trying to forget it she asked "so…? I answered, what about you two?"

"hehehe I'm gonna be the pirate king…. Oh and he wanna be a marine so I'm bringing him to a marine base" he answered as if it was the most normal thing in the world, and Coby was just smiling at him, Nami slowly palling at his words

"you're a pirate!?"

"HAHAHA not just any pirate, the future king of pirates" he answered with a proud smile on his face, with Nami slowly starting to glare at him "he's a pirate? Of course he his! I've gotta be careful he gotta be just like all the others"

"aaaah don't like pirates? haha I can see it in your eyes, shishishi were not all that bad, were the greatest adventurers of the sea!" he said, once again sporting that proud smile again and Nami found her anger slowly dissipating despite not understanding why.

"now where do we find a marine base" Luffy asked abruptly.

"there's got to be island nearby with one on it" Coby answered meekly.

"hmm thought so but how do we find it?"

"are you serious!" Nami interjected "do none of you know how to navigate?" what kind of pirate don't know how navigate both boys just staring at her making her sigh "let me I'll find an island"

"ooooh you know how to navigate, never had the head for" Luffy said before starting to rummage through his backpack "YOSH! we got to celebrate meeting" he said bringing out a big bottle of rum, his trademark smile spreading impossibly wider forcing him to almost close his eyes. Taking one big swig he started passing it around, spreading his good mood making even the apprehensive Nami sporting her own big smile.

"alright alright" she said before taking a swig "now onward‼" she yelled before pointing in a direction she was fairly certain would lead to the nearest island.

"hahaha that's my sentence I'm the captain hahaha"

"hihihi alright captaaaaain" the title leaving her mouth making Luffy's stomach flutter.

"then what am I?" Coby asked now slightly drunk.

"hmmmmm… cabin boy!" Luffy yelled making himself and Coby burst out laughing, Nami joining in despite not understanding.

The small gang continued to joke and drink on their way towards their destination.
