Enjoy the second chapter.
Lyra, Liby and Lacy looked at their parents and Lyra arched a brow, "So…are you guys going to tell us about our family or what?"
"We are, love, just…give us a second," Luna took a deep breath and shook her head, "Okay, we're going to tell you three the full story leading to your births…so the four of us are originally from a small town called Royal Woods in Michigan,"
"What? But we were born-"
"Yes, you three were born in Rhode Island, but we're not from here," Luan interrupted Lacy, "And now…here comes the hard part." The three looked at their parents in confusion.
Luna put her usual purple skirt on be walking towards the door. Reaching for the knob, she stopped and looked back to see a distraught Luan lying on the bottom bunk. Sighing, she shook her head and walked over to her younger sister, "Okay Luan, you've been like this for two days now. What's bugging you, sis?" Luan shook her head and Luan frowned and sat down on the bed, "No, something's bugging you, and I wouldn't feel right going to a party knowing something is wrong with one of my younger sisters,"
"It's nothing…go enjoy you party, Luna,"
Luan turned on her side and Luna frowned, "C'mon Luan, you're coming with me," Luan looked back and Luna smiled and shook her head, "I wouldn't feel right leaving you like this. Get up and get ready," before Luan could reply, Luna pulled her off the bed.
Luna and Luan walked down the stairs and saw an annoyed Lynn and an angered Lincoln sitting on the couch. Luna took a deep breath and walked over to the two, "Let me guess, you two are having a bad day too?" the two looked at the young music artist in confusion and Luna shook her head, "First it was Luan, and now you two. What's bugging you dudes?"
"Nothing," Luna rolled her eyes and Lynn stood up, "The world if fucking happy!"
"And I dating the Easter Bunny, now what's wrong with you three?" Luna crossed her arms as she looked at her younger siblings, "What happened? You three look like you've lost your best friends and it's the end of the-"
"Benny…he's been…sleeping with Maggie…and the new girl, Jenny," Luan sighed and shook her head, "Turns out, he didn't think my jokes were funny, he didn't think my skits were good…he was just looking for a little game."
"Francisco moved and is now playing for a rival team. I didn't care much about that, it was fine, people move all the time," the three looked at Lynn and Lynn took a deep breath, "We had a game today…he acted like he didn't even know me and after the game, he and his team shoved me into a dirt mound and they said a few things before Francisco tried to break my ankle."
"Whoa…harsh dude," Luna looked at Lincoln and arched a brow, "And what about you bro? What crawled up your ass?"
"Paige…and Zach," Lincoln crossed his arms and shook his head, "That's all I'm saying,"
Luna groaned and mumbled under her breath before she spoke, "Okay, you're coming too," Lynn and Lincoln looked at her in confusion, "There's a party a few blocks down, I need to go because I've been having a rotten week too. Sam moved away and I've been having some rotten luck in the dating scene, so the four of us are going to go and have a little fun and meet some new people." Lynn and Lincoln rolled their eyes before the four of them walked out of the house and down the street.
Loud music filled the air as strobe lights flashed as people laughed, cheered and danced. Luna looked around and spotted her three younger siblings leaning against the far wall. Shaking her head, she walked up to them, "Hey!" they looked at her and Luna smiled, "C'mon dudes, it's a party, live a little!"
The three frowned and Luna sighed, "C'mon, let's get something to drink!" the three nodded before they followed Luna into the kitchen.
The four siblings stood in the kitchen, drinking some soda when Luan looked at her glass and arched a brow, "What's wrong, Luan?" she looked at her only brother and Lincoln tilted his head to the side, "Is everything okay?"
"Um…yeah, fine, Linc," Luan assured with a smiled as she rubbed Lincoln's back, "We're at a party, right? Well we should all have a little fun," without warning, the three sisters grabbed their only brother and led him out of the kitchen.
People cheered and laughed and they moved around the living room. The four siblings snuck through the front door and laughed before running down the street, "Guys, guys," Lynn howled with laughter, "We should go for a nightly swim…it could be fun!" without waiting for a response, Lynn took her shorts and jersey off and began running towards the park and her siblings followed in pursuit.
The four made it to the park and Lynn jumped into the lake while Luna and Luan took their shirts and skirts off and Lincoln took his pants and shirt off and the three joined Lynn in the water.
Okay, I know the broken heart because they cheated/moved away is a tad cliché, but it's better than what my advisors had planned. From this chapter on, it'll be following them as teenagers until the final chapter. Please enjoy everyone and please let me know what everyone thinks.
