Bodies. Floating in the water. Mike swallowed, fear arising in his stomach. He felt a tight squeeze on his leg, as Quinn, who was previously at the back of the bus, held on to him for dear life. The sound of shattering glass filled the bus, ringing in Mike's ears. He looked around the bus that was quickly filling with water desperately, looking for an escape. Before he found one, he felt a tug on his arm. Mike turned his head to find Quinn signalling at the open window, where the last of the New Directions were getting out, trying hard to get above water. Mike nodded, taking Quinn's hand and guiding her over to the opening in the bus. Mike was helping Quinn out of the bus when he heard a yell from the back of it. It was Rory, who couldn't get out of his seatbelt, and was stuck as the water had just come above mouth level. Quinn, who was already running out of breath in the water, looked down at Mike, who was turning the other way, towards the back of the bus. The water was a long way up, and she knew she'd have to fight to get up there. So, with no other option but to go up, she kicked off the the outside of the bus, and began to swim her way to the top, praying that she'd find him above water. Mike approached Rory, who was using his teeth in an attempt to sever the seatbelt. Mike frantically looked around, scanning the bus for something sharp. In the heat of the moment, Mike took some broken glass, using the sharp end to sever Rory's seatbelt. It worked thank god, but not without cutting Mike's hand, which had blood weeping from the wound. Mike tried to ignore this, as he took Rory by the hand, guiding him through the shattered window, and up to where he hoped the rest of New Directions would be waiting. But the further Mike got to the top, the more lightheaded he felt. The feeling continued until Mike's vision became blurry, and the scene before him began to whiten. He heard frantic yells around him, but felt far too tired to open his eyes.
The first two (very short) chapters are meant to be written in a strange, dreamlike state. Once they get above water, it will switch to normal writing, dialogue and all.
