IMPORTANT! I changed a few things around to make this story work better. The Cullens DO exist now and they ARE mentioned in this chapter. Also, Jacob is 16 and Bella is 17. Smaller age gap so it isn't so awkward for poor Bella and Jakey! Ahaha! Anyways, I changed it because this was originally going to be a one-shot, but I want to continue it, so I am going to!

After a huge argument and the twins being banished to their bedroom, that left me and Jake alone. I'm starting to feel really comfortable around him. I like him a lot.
Then it hits me! I remember something that he said earlier that night. So, I smile and stare him right in the eye and say, "So, Jake. You like me a lot?"
He stares my right in the eye and says "Of course! We've been best friends since we were children and you're perfect in every way I could think of."
We both can't help but smile at his sweet words. "I like you too Jake."
"Well then, Bells. Would you like to go out with me sometime?" He starts to get visibly nervous and starts to ramble. "We could go for a walk, or go bowling, or go out for coffee. On second thought, I don't really like coffee. I mean we could do something else too! Whatever you want!"
At this point I can't help but laugh at the poor boy. He's practically sweating in nervousness. "Jake! Jake! It's fine. I'd love to go out with you and I don't care what we do. As long as I'm with you!"
We stare into each other's eyes for an excessively long amount of time. Before I know it, our lips are a few inches apart and he is leaning in for a kiss.
When I feel his soft lips graze mine, I can't help but wind my hands in his hair and my arms around his neck. My lips instinctively start to move against his. All I could feel, see or hear was Jake.
"Ehemm." We both pull away as we hear one of the twins clear their throat. Rachel. "'Kay guys. It was cute when it was in truth or dare but Jacob, you have a bedroom for a reason!"
As if sycronized, Jake and I both started to blush at the same time. However, his was just subtle beneath his warm, russet skin. Mine was like crimson red roses beneath a glass table. Completely visible.
Rachel just smirks, giggles to herself and turns to leave. Jake turns in my direction and slides his hand onto the middle of my back.
"What do you say? Wanna go and hang around in my room for a bit?"
I think about it for a second. I should get home and make sure Charlie is alright for dinner, but then again, Jake is my friend and it would be awkward to leave so soon after he asked me out, right? Why does being 17 have to be so hard?!
His infectious smile wiggles itself into my mind and it makes the decision for me.
"Alright. Just for a little while though. I've still got to make dinner for Charlie when I get back." With those few words, he leads me up the small staircase, into his bedroom, and onto his bed.
I've been in Jacob's bed before. I've even slept in Jacob's bed before. Just not while we were dating. If we are even dating. I'm not exactly sure to be honest. I don't want to put any labels on what we are just yet...in case things between us don't work out. I don't want that to injure our friendship.
After sitting there like a couple of awkward teenagers...which we are...he finally spoke up. "So? How's Edward?" He looks uncomfortable for some reason. Maybe Jake doesn't like Edward for some reason. "That guy from school you said was being weird around you or something?"
Oh right. Edward Cullen. From my biology class. "Oh. Him. I'm not sure. He hasn't been at school lately. He just kind of...disappeared after the first time I met him. Everyone thought it was the weirdest thing. New girl comes into town. Her and mysterious boy meet. Mysterious boy vanishes."
Oh! The high school drama. Jacob seems interested enough in what I'm saying, so I continue speaking. "I've seen his family around the school though. They keep their distance. Not just from me but from everyone it seems. They're no doubt a strange family but something about them draws me in...you know?" Jake instantly freezes in his seat. His look of interest and intrigue drop and a look of fear and worry appear.
"Don't get drawn in Bella. I've heard stories about what happens when they get too close to people like them. Bad things happen Bella and I don't think I could live happily if something happened to you." I can see it in his eyes that he means this. "They could just be stories but it's better safe then sorry, right?"
I nod not only to reassure him, but to also tell myself that I won't go near the Cullens anymore.
"I should really get going Jake. I'm sorry. I'll call you!"
We kiss once more and the way from his house to mine goes by like a blur. All I can think about on the drive home is how a game of Truth or Dare with Rachel and Rebecca, turned into Jake asking me out on my first date!

Hey guys! As of right now, that is the end. I wrote this when I was only about 13 or 14, so I hope you weren't dissappointed. Also, any mistakes are my own and if you find any, feel free to shoot me a PM or review so I can fix them.
