Green Lion flew through space. Inside Pidge sat in the cockpit. Sakura appeared on her screen. "Thanks for letting me come with you, I know you wanted to do this mission on your own."

Pidge smiled. "You're welcome, I know you don't want to be around Shiro for a long period of time."

"I'm being paranoid, aren't I?" Sakura sighed over the comm link. "He hasn't been the same since Keith found him."

"He did go through a tarmac event." Pidge reminded gently.

XxXxXxXx

The facility in the slums area is ont of the sketchiest places the girls had ever seen. They threw cloaks over their Paladin armors, just for the extra security before trekking through the highly advanced streets, ignoring the floating eye cams all around them and referring to Pidge's map until it lead them to the back entrance of a shop.

The girls stuck together walking in, they saw rows of dark shelves with less then safe products displayed. Suspicious clanking noises sounded throughout the shop despite the lack of commotion. While Pidge felt confidence, Sakura felt anxious and very nervous.

They reached their destination, when they saw the Unilu shopkeeper leaning back behind his desk.

"Shop's closed." He informs, like it wasn't the first time he had to shut down someone down.

"We're just looking for a show." Pidge said. "We've heard it's explosive." She recited the code that the rebels had given her while approaching slowly as the alien arched an eyebrow.

"So you're after the nano-thermite -boron, huh? Very expensive stuff. Difficult to procure, I assure you."

"Not quite." Pidge said as she and Sakura moved the front of their cloaks, revealing their green and purple Paladin armor, Pidge pulling up a screen from the back of her wrist. "We don't need the explosives. Just tell us who is in this video and where to find them." She played the video of Matt's escape that she'd retrieved from Beta Traz, focusing in on the rebel's masked face.

"Why would I know these people?" The aluen raised an eyebrow, but he wasn't fooling Pidge.

"Because these nano-thermite titanium-boron, and you're the only one in this section of the galaxy supplying it to the rebels." Pidge removed her cloak completely, as did Sakura. "We are Paladins of Voltron. We're looking for somebody, and we need you to give us the rebel's coordinates."

The Unilu looked them up and down, maybe twice before scoffing. "No rebel transponder means no dice. Anybody can come in here with a disguise and demand rebel locations. I suggest you ladies leave, right now!" He stood up and pulled out two swords from their sheaths from his waist, pointing them right at Pidge and Sakura who both groaned.

"Really, this is how we're doing it? We have Green and White Lions if that's indentification enough for."- Pidge didn't get to finish, before the alien jumped towards them, spinning swords but the girls were ready for the attack. Pidge simply kicked the desk from beneath him to throw the shopkeeper off balance to not hurt him - he's only protecting the rebel information. When he got ready for his second attack, Pidge shot her bayard just past him and yanked it back and knocking him over the head with one of his own toolboxes and went down.

"That was easy." Sakura stated.

"Yeah." Pidge nodded, she crunched down by the alien shopkeeper as he groaned in pain. "You attacked first." She told the Unilu, then downloaded the rebel information while the shopkeeper started to slowly wake.

Sakura knelt down by the Unilu. "We are not imposters, we swear."

Pidge nodded. "Thanks for the intel, anyways." She and Sakura turned to leave as the Unilu glared at them. It was a mistake that the two forgot to grab their cloaks. And their Paladin armor is reveal and on display for the entire slums to see as they headed for Green and White Lions.

XxXxXxXx

Pidge immediately began scanning through the download intel, lining it alongside Matt's video as the two Lions left the planet. It didn't take long for her screen to connect to the rebel from the video with an identical face from Unilu supplier's list of rebel's.

"Sakura, it looks like I've got a positive ID." Pidge said into the comm link as an image of her appeared on the dashboard.

"Pidge, that's great!" Sakura smiled. "What's it say?"

Pidge took a glance at the download. "'Te-osh'. Last known whereabouts ... secret base 1904-Kraydah's moon."

"Let's hit it!" Sakura said, before her image disappeared from the console.

XxXxXxXx

The girls were expecting to navigate through fragmented chunks of rock as soon as they approached the base. Instead they were met with flashing lights of explosions as several Galra cruisers came into view.

"It's a Galra attack!" Sakura cried.

"Come on!" Pidge cried, shoving Green Lion's controls forward. Both Lions blasted through ant fighter ships that came their way. But none of the fighters were focused on the two lions.

"What's going on?" Sakura asked confused. "Where are the rebel ships?"

"The Galra aren't attacking anything." Pidge added. Her first thought was that they already attacked the entire rebel base. And, in spur panic she bolted for Kraydah's moon.

"Pidge!" Sakura bolted after Green Lion. The two ignored the cruisers as long as they ignored her. The confusion only increased as the rebel base came into view. There were still several cargo ships loaded with medical supplies and refugees. And no conflict with the Galra cruisers.

A tall alien man gazed in awe as Green and White Lions landed, he ran over to meet the two Paladins.

"He must be one of the freedom fighters." Sakura told Pidge.

"Greeting, I am Lieutenant Ozar. You must be two of the Paladins." The man said.

"Yes, I'm Pidge, this is Sakura. What's going on? Are you under attack from the Galra?" Pidge asked.

Ozar shook his head, following the Paladin's gaze to the sky in confusion. "I'm not exactly sure. The Galra cruisers seem to be locked in combat against each other. It'd be safest to move our supplies to another location, but it's impossible to leave the atmosphere without getting caught in the crossfire. Will the other lions be joining you?"

Sakura looked away from the sky, to look at him. "No. We're on a mission, it's just the two of us."

Pidge finally tore her gaze from the sky, and turned to the alien. "I'm looking for Te-osh. Is she here?" If the Galra were fighting each other for some reason, then all they needed was to escort the cargo and meaning their was time for a quick detour.

Lieutenant Ozar pointed to the cargo ship sitting on top of the base storage house. "Te-osh is inside that ship, loading up the last of the medical supplies. We were just about to leave; your timing is most fortunate."

Pidge eagerly began to inch around him with a curt nod. "Thank you. We'll give you a hand loading up and help secure your escape. I just need to speak to her first."

Ozar, and Sakura watched as Pidge quickly ran to the cargo ship Te-osh was currently loading.

"I'm sorry, this mission has a personal effect on her." Sakura apologized, looking at Ozar.

"I understand completely when a mission gets personal."

Suddenly lasers came crashing down around Te-osh's ship, the explosions flourished as debris came crashing around Pidge.

"PIDGE!" Sakura raced forward, but just as she was getting close to Pidge, she had to summon her shield to protect herself from the falling rocks. Sakura continued to hurry over to Pidge's side. The collateral damage still sent them plummeting backwards into a series of tumbles. Pidge was able to scramble back to her feet to peer through the broken base for any signs of Te-osh.

"They're attacking!" Ozar yelled, running towards his cargo ship with a gun in hand, as the other rebels scattered around the crumbling storage house.

Sakura raced for White Lion, using her jetpack to get closer. Once she got inside, White Lion shot towards the sky, blasting the fighter ships that were attacking.

"Te-osh!" Pidge chased after the ship overhead towards her lion. She saw White Lion taking out fighter ships as possible. Using her bayard, Pidge shot it at Green Lion and pulled herself towards her lion and disappeared into the lion's mouth. A missel struck her in the face, the resulting blow had Pidge gasping as she stumbled into the cockpit.

"You're really, really gonna regret that!" She jumped into her chair and was quick to turn Green Lion while dodging several bullets, then waiting for another fighter to get to close before leaping and tearing it out of the sky with Green's jaws.

White Lion used it's tail laser to shoot at more fighters flew towards Pidge.

"Pidge, I got ya covered!" Sakura cried as White Lion flew towards Green Lion.

"Thanks Sakura." Pidge smiled, but it quickly faded, when the ships were shooting at the rebel cargo ships rendering them completly useless. "Oh no!"

Both lions started shooting at the incoming ships until both were twisting in all directions to fight off the sudden attacks. The fleet was small and not complete, but the two Lions were able to fend them off.

"Ozar, is everyone one ok!?" Pidge calls down through the speaker.

Ozar had been shoot at the fighter ships, who had hung low. "For now, thanks to you. We are safe, but our ships are damaged. We are stranded and cannot help Te-osh. Please, Paladin Pidge, Paladin Sakura! You must help her!"

Pidge's eyes widened as she stared at the sullen freedom fighters. "But ... what about you?"

"The supplies on that ship are more important then our lives!" Ozar interjected. "Besides, we all know what it means to fight the Galra."

Sakura's image appeared on Pidge's console. "We can't leave them!"

Pidge's chest tightened, she was so close to finally getting answers to finding Matt, but she knew Sakura was right. "Yeah, we gotta help em!"

Both Lions flew down towards the ground. "Everyone, aboard! Now!" Pidge called.

The Kraydah's moon was a reserved rebel base, meaning not many refugees were there. Some of them went into Green Lion, and some went into White Lion and once they were fitted into the stomach's of both lions - they took off in the direction of Te-osh, blowing through more Galra fighter ships along the way.

The cruisers were no longer in comback with each other, it looked like one side had won which explained why they suddenly attacked the rebel base.

XxXxXx

Explosions were going off just to the left of both Lions, Pidge sped up to the cargo ship. "Te-osh!" She called. "Te-osh, I am a Paladin of Voltron! I'm here to help!"

A strained voice of pain came through the ship's communicator. "Please! I've been hit."

Inside her lion, Sakura watched as Green Lion easily took off the remaining fighter ships. "Pidge, what's happening up there?" She asked over the comm, watching as Green Lion landed on top of Te-osh's ship.

"Cover me!" Pidge called back. "I'm going in, she's hurt!" She said as she boarded the cargo ship, and White Lion sped up to now flying next to the ship.

XxXxXx

After awhile Sakura finished off the fighters that had continued to chase them "Pidge! What's happening? Are you ok?" She asked through the comm link.

"I'm coming out, I'm ok. But Te-osh is in really bad shape." Pidge answered. "Land on the ship, the rebels need to load in."

"Roger that." Sakura flew over to the cargo ship, and landed near Green Lion. And soon the rebels boarded the cargo ship. Then both Lions towed the cargo ship to the nearest rebel base.

"This should be far enough, Paladin Pidge, Paladin Sakura." Ozar's voice snapped Pidge out of her daze, and the sudden beeping in Te-osh's transponder, gave Pidge something to pay attention to. "Thank you for your help. These supplies will help save many lives in the fight against the Galra. I am sending you my transponder code. May the Paladins of Voltron always be able to find me if need be."

"Thank you." Pidge nodded at him.

"Yes, thank you and be safe." Sakura smiled. With that the two released the cargo ship from both Lions' grasp, giving them one final glance to make sure they entered the planet's orbit, just to make sure nothing else happened.

Green Lion sped off, White Lion soon followed.

XxXxXxXx

Sakura watched as they got close to a single planet in the distance. Her screens locked onto their destination and zoomed in on the planet. Showing all of its status. "Oh no." She whispered. "This planet, it ... it's dead." She quickly pushed the handles and White Lion flew after Green Lion as it sped through the debris that was falling off the planet itself.

A massive monument was the only thing that was in tact on this sad planet.

Green Lion landed in front of it, and White Lion soon landed next to it. Pidge, and Sakura walked up the steps where a stone plaque stood at the perfect height for Pidge to read, the rest of the monument is one massive elongated gateway decorated with countless heroic statues that all matched the size of the lions.

Anxiety, stopping Pidge in her tracks as she observed the massive structure. As soon as they approached, it recognized their presence, letting out several chimes before a programmed voice read the plaque off to them.

"In honor if the 127,098 brave warriors that stood against tyranny. The quest for freedom is won through sacrifice."

Sakura gasped and quickly looked at Pidge, who darted around the plaque through the gateway.

"NO!" Pidge jumped down the cliff.

Sakura raced to the edge of the cliff and halted with a loud gasp as her eyes grew wide. "No, no, no." She quickly ran after Pidge who was three or four feet in front of her. And she did loose sight of her, and she rounded marker after marker till she stopped and turned in a full circle.

Hearing loud agony and grief screaming. Sakura quickly darted towards the sobbing - and soon found Pidge on the ground in front of a tombstone, her hands dug into the ground and her head hung lowest in front of the grave.

The sky soon cried with her, ice cold rain biting at both Paladins. Sakura slowly walked over to her and knelt down next to her. She placed a hand on Pidge's back, but the younger girl pushed her away, Sakura tried to put her hand on Pidge's shoulder. Pidge pushed her away again.

Nodding, Sakura straightened and started to stand, but Pidge suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist preventing the older girl to leave. Sitting back down, Sakura held out her arms and Pidge lunged into her and hugging her waist tightly as she sobbed and Sakura gently rocked her side to side.

Suddenly, Pidge soon pulled away to look at the tombstone. "Wait ... what ... Matt's birthday is wrong." Her voice barely worked.

"Pidge." Sakura tried, and the green Paladin turned to the older teen.

"That's not my brother's birthday!" Pidge's voice started to work again as she pointed at the tombstone. She turned to the marker as she reread the date beneath the name. "A quantum frequency?" She then gasped and the darkness around her started to disappear. "It's ... it's a message? The code! But what ... what's the second encryption item? I have a copy of the book!" She managed to shakily rise to her feet, hands gripping her helmet, willing to cling to the smallest desperate chance of hope.

Sakura stood up, watching as Pidge pulled out her phone and plugged it into the tombstone.

"Now factor in what dad and Matt's additions and subtractions!" Pidge's fingers worked furiously on the screen. The useless numbers faded away to reveal the remaining ones, and relief flooded through her like a flood of water. "These are coordinates! He's still out there!" She turned to Sakura. "My brother is still alive!"

Pidge then ran and tackled Sakura in a tight hug as fresh tears, this time for relief slid down her cheeks. "Matt's still alive!"

"And we're not returning until we find him!" Sakura said firmly.

Together, the two rushed back to their lions. and blasted off towards space again.

XxXxXxXx

"I gotta stay out here Pidge!" Sakura told her as White Lion stayed behind and away from the Galra fighters who were fighting each other. "You're the only one who has a cloaking devise." She said into the comm link and Pidge's image appeared.

"Thank you so much for staying with me this whole time."

Sakura smiled. "Of course! And go and find your brother!"

Pidge smiled brightly. "You know it!" Her image disappeared.

XxXxXxXx

After awhile a staticy image tried to appear on Sakura's screen.

"This is a Paladin of Voltron, and whoever you are. You better have a good excuse for honing in on my lion!" Sakura threatened.

The image started to get clearer, and soon Keith's image appeared on her console. "There's my honeybee." He said with a smile.

"Keith!" She gasped as her face lit up.

"How's my jewel?" He asked as he continued to smile.

Sakura continued to smile. "I'm good! Really wish you were here."

He nodded. "Good. I wanted to see how my favorite girl is doing. And how Shiro's doing with being leader again."

"I'm good." She nodded, she bit down about telling him that she had a pregnancy scare, she quickly decided to not telling him that. "Shiro's leadership skills are not like what he had when we first came out here."

Keith frowned. "He did go through months of being gone." He reminded. "He told me he woke up on Zarkon's ship, then stole a fighter ship and just wondered alone until he found help."

"I understand that." She folded her arms. "But I think there's something off about him."

Keith was going to reply, but he looked to his left then looked back at her. "I have to go."

The suddenest made her jealously kick in. "Who's with you!?" She spat out the question in a fit of jealously as she leaned in close to the image. "Keith!"

A hand touched Keith's shoulder, and he was gently pushed away to reveal Kolivan. A sweatdrop appeared on Sakura's head as she quickly sat back in her chair.

"Uhhh, hi!" She smiled uneasy, now feeling foolish.

"You do not have to worry about Keith." He told her gently. "His loyalty to you is very strong." With that he disappeared, pulling Keith back into the frame.

"What's he doing to you!? Locking you in a room filled with girls and watching to see if you break!?" She wanted to know, then quickly paused. "Wait, wait, wait! No, don't answer that!" She folded her arms and looked away.

"I do have to go." He told her. "I wanted to check in on my beautiful girl." He smiled.

That made Sakura smile. "I'm doing good, it's weird without you on the team."

"I know." Keith smiled. "I love you."

"I love you too." She returns the smile and watches as his image disappears.

XxXxXxX

A few minutes later, Green Lion was flying back to White Lion. "Sakura! I have my brother!" Pidge cried. "I have Matt!"

"Pidge! That's great news!" Sakura smiled.

"Our mission is now complete!" Pidge told her brightly.
