Rose woke and looked up at whatever was making a big shadow on the small life boat. Big, silver letters read 'Carpathia'. She genly shook Jack.
"Where are we?" Jack asked. A sudden frown appered on his face as he remembered the events of the previous night.
A rope ladder was thrown down. Rose and Jack's boat was first to board the Carpathia. Rose started to climb up the ladder, with the help of two crewmen. Once she reached the top, two Carpathia crew members helped her over. Jack followed Rose up the rope ladder,also reciving help from the crew men.
Jack put his arm around Rose and they were each handed a blanket. They walked to the third class section. Jack found an empty bench and sat down on it. Rose sat beside him and he put his arm around her sholders and she leaned her head on his sholder. He kissed her forehead and closed his eyes. They fell asleep quite quickly.
Jack woke up around dawn to find that Rose was already up. He found her and walked over to her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and she lifted her head up to his. He kissed her. The kiss only lasted a couple seconds, short and sweet.
"Are you hugry?" Jack asked Rose.
Rose nodded and Jack asked a steward, "Where do we get something to eat?"
"Down this hall and to your right." The steward replied. They walked to the dining area.
"There is only Chiken Soup left." A stewardess told Jack and Rose. They took their soup and hot tea and found a empty table. Once they were done eating, Jack picked up their bowls and cups and brought them to where he was told to put dirty dishes.
"You know, Mr.Dawson, I barely know you." Rose said,smiling.
"And I barely know m'dear." He said, trying not to laugh.
"Well, I grew up everything a young girl should be. I am 17 years old, I was sent to finishing school at the age of 16."
"I was born in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. When I was 15 my parent's died and I started to travel the world." Jack said. For the next few hours they talked about when they were little and when they were teens.
