(Chapter 2)
(Hana's POV)
I sat down on a bar stool after getting my guild mark on hip.
"Now I have to find a place to stay" I mutter to myself. I already had all my stuff with me, it wasn't a lot so I could easily carry it around.
"You should stay with Fro" I hadn't noticed that Frosch was next to me. I looked at him surprised. I wouldn't do what he suggested because he lives with Rogue.
"I don't think that would be okay Frosch" I said with a smile and as I said it he began to frown.
"Fro what are you talking about with Hana-san" I heard Rogue ask.
"Fro wants Hana-chan to stay with Fro tonight" he said innocently
"Fro I don't think that would be wise" I said
Fro then started to look sad and I saw Rogue look panicked. He then started to look at us with small tears in the corner of his eyes.
"Fro please don't cry. I'll get to see you tomorrow" I said trying to comfort the cute cat
"B-but Fro wants you to stay with Fro"
Rogue then sighed in defeat.
"Fine, we have a spare room that you can stay in." He said
"Or you could stay in my room" I felt someone whisper in my ear. I turned around to see Stings face in front of mine. I turned dark red and backed away from him and kicked him in the gut. I saw Rogue looked amused.
"How dare you do that to the great Sting-kun?" I saw a red cat say.
"Great my ass" I mumbled as I turned to Rogue thinking that I would cuddle Fro and the red cat later. "Are you sure? I wouldn't want to intrude?" I asked him.
"Its fine" he said with a smile. I had never seen him smile before, he had a nice smile.
We then made our way out of the guild and I followed them whilst I was holding Fro and the red cat whose name I found out was Lector. I got my opportunity to give them both a tight hug but had to stop when they couldn't breathe. We arrived at a normal looking house. Once inside Rogue took me to the guest room and much to my dismay we were followed by Sting who wouldn't wipe that cocky smirk off of his face.
"Why didn't you tell me you were a dragon slayer when I asked you?" Sting asked
"I didn't think it mattered or that it was any of your business" I stated
"So you're the nature dragon slayer? So are we, Sting is the white/holy dragon slayer and I'm the shadow dragon slayer. What generation are you?" Rogue asked me
"I was taught by my dragon, but I also have a lacrima implanted in me but the lacrima is ice not nature." I answered
"So what happened to your dragon then?" Sting asked
"…" I stayed silent. Sting kept pestering me about it until I knocked him out by making a flower grow with a toxin that knocks you out. Rogue had an amused look in his eyes and Lector ran over to Sting to check on him.
Once I was settled in I told Rogue that I would make dinner as a thank you for letting me stay the night. When I told him that I would look for a place to stay tomorrow Fro started to get upset and said that I was leaving him.
"Why don't you just stay here? You could help with the rent and Frosch would be happy?" Rogue suggested. I sighed in defeat. I really couldn't say no to Fro, he was just too adorable to say no to. I agreed and went to make dinner with the help of Frosch. At the table Sting started to question me about my dragon again.
"Please don't ask about it" I said quietly with tears falling down my face.
"We won't judge you, we have no right too" I was surprised that it was Rogue who spoke.
"I k-killed her…" and with that I burst into tears and ran to my room leaving them to think whatever horrible things they were thinking about me.
(Rogue's POV)
I watched her run away; I looked at Sting and saw that he was just as shocked as I was. I heard her crying in her room. I grabbed Sting by the collar of his shirt and went to her room, knocking before I entered. She was curled in a ball on the bed silently crying her eyes out.
"P-please just l-leave me alone" I heard her mumble. If I wasn't a dragon slayer I wouldn't have even heard her.
"Like Rogue said we can't judge you. We did the same" Sting said in a soft voice that I didn't think he was capable of. She looked at us with wide eyes so I sat down on the edge of the bed and told her the story of how Skiadrum asked me to kill him because he was dying. Once I was done Sting told her about how Weisslogia told him to kill him so that he could become a real dragon slayer. She took a deep breath and started to tell us her story.
"A-Akina was protecting me from the people who wanted to put a lacrima of a different element in me for an experiment. She was badly wounded and I had to kill her so that she wouldn't suffer anymore. It was all my fault she got hurt and they captured me and implanted the lacrima anyways. Luckily I survived and I can use both powers." She finished with tears.
"It's not your fault. You helped her" then I did something that I have never done before. I hugged her. I saw Sting looking at me as if to say 'Who are you?' I glared at him and looked at Hana to see that she had fallen asleep in my arms. I looked away before Sting could see the blush on my cheeks; he snickered and left the room without helping me at all. I lay my head down on the pillow because I couldn't get out of her grip and within moments I fell asleep.
