Okay, second chapter. It's a bit choppy but I wrote it really quick so forgiveness please. I'll be taking my time with the next chapter to make it better than this one. But I won't take more than a week or so to do it. Anyway, review and PM if you like it.

BUTTER'S POV:

I woke up early for a Sunday. 7:00 AM. I pushed off my covers and sat up. I rubbed my eyes and checked my phone, as I usually do when I wake up.

I was hoping for a text from Ruta but there was nothing.

I sighed and put my phone down. I pulled myself out of bed and went downstairs. I walked into the kitchen, expecting a lecture from my dad about wearing my pyjamas instead of getting dressed. How is a white T-shirt and blue plaid pants any different from normal clothes?

Luckily he wasn't there. I saw a note on the table next to a pen. I picked it up and quickly scanned through it for keywords.

I saw "Had to go", "Work emergency" and "Won't be back until 2:00 PM" I didn't need anymore than that.

I lazily started to make myself breakfast. Well, not so much breakfast and more like coffee. Lots of it.

After finishing my "breakfast" I got dressed. I slumped back down the stairs and put the TV on. Nothing but heavily censored episodes of Scrubs and The Big Bang Theory. It'll have to do. Anything to take my mind off last night.

I just hope someone told Ruta I came over.

RICKY'S POV:

I was sat in the kitchen, talking to Clyde, when Ruta walked in.

"Good morning, Ruta." Clyde politley cheeped.

"Nothing good about it." Ruta groaned.

"What up your ass?" I disrespectfully muttered.

"Nothing. That's exactly the problem." She said, sitting down at the table.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, Butters was supposed to come over last night. I guess that stupid project was all he cared about." She said with a huff, and crossed her arms.

"Ruta, he did come over last night."

"What?"

"Yeah, it was pretty late, 10 o'clock or something. I asked him if he was here to see you and he said he was so I let him come in and go on up to your room."

"Then why don't I remember him coming over?"

"I guess you were asleep. I barely heard him leave 'cos I was like, a few seconds off falling asleep. It sounded like he was sniffing a lot as well."

"Damn it, I gotta call 'im."

Just as she was about to pull her phone from her pocket, I stopped her.

"Why don't you, instead of calling him, why don't you go over to his house? I'm sure he'd like to see you."

"Do you think I should?"

"Ruta, I'm gay. Gay guys know everything about love from birth."

She chuckled and put her phone away before standing up.

"Alright, I'll go see him."

She walked out the door and Clyde gave me a sly smile.

"What was that for?"

"You act like you hate the fact your sister is in a relationship but really, I think you love it."

"No, I don't."

"Well, why do your eyes twinkle when she asks you for help?"

"I can't help it, that's an involuntary twinkle."

BUTTER'S POV:

I can't stop thinking about Ruta. I can't call her 'cos she'll be mad and I really don't wanna argue with her. I'm such a fucking idiot. Why didn't I just go see her when she called me?

Oh, the doorbell. I guess I can stop wallowing in self pity long enough to answer it. I pulled myself off the couch and slowly walked to the door.

I opened the door and saw the last person I'd expect on my doorstep at 7:30 in the morning.

"Hey, Ruta. What are you doing here?"

"Ricky told me you came over last night."

"Yeah, I did."

"Sorry I wasn't, you know, awake."

"Don't worry about it. Why don't you come in, I'm not really doing anything."

"What about your dad?"

"He won't be back until 2 in the afternoon."

"Oh, okay."

She walked in and I shut the door. I moved up behind her and quickly lifted her up with a hug. She giggled and squealed, shouting "put me down" until I stopped spinning her.

"You fucking bastard!" She said, trying to speak through the fit of laughter she was in.

I kissed her again and she sat down on the couch.

"Come on, sit next to me. I miss cuddling with you."

I couldn't refuse. I sat next to her and she leant straight into me. I kissed the top of her head.

Suddenly, what I said to her last night popped into my head. If there ever was a perfect time to say it, it would be now.

"Ruta?"

"Yeah?"

I took a deep breath and prepared myself. Why is suddenly so much harder to say now she's not asleep?

"I love you."

She gasped and sat up quickly.

"Oh, my God, I love you too, Butters." She hugged me tightly and pulled back for a kiss.

It was the best kiss we've ever had.

She hugged me again and I decided to tell her about last night.

"Ruta, this isn't the first time I've said that to you."

"What?"

"Well, last night, when I went up to your room and you were, you know, asleep, I whispered it into your ear. I guess I was hoping you would hear it in your dreams."

"Oh, Butters, that's so sweet!"

"But you weren't just sleeping."

"What was I doing?"

"I think a visual aid would be best for this." I grabbed my phone and looked for the photo I took of her.

I found it and showed it to her. She blushed and put her hand on her face.

"I was sucking my thumb?"

"Yeah. It was cute though."

"Really?"

"Of course. Anything you do is cute."

"Why didn't you wake me up?"

"Because I remembered you telling me how tired you were. I do listen, no matter how much you say I don't."

"But Ricky said you were sniffing like you were crying or something."

"I was. I just realised how lucky I am to be with you."

"Aw. Thanks, Butters." She kissed me on the cheek and leant back into me.

I slumped down into the couch and wrapped my arm around her.

I really do love her. I can't picture myself without her and I don't know what I'd do if she wasn't in my life.

She's just so perfect. There's nothing I don't like about her.

Her eyes, her smile, her voice, her personality, just... everything.

There's something deep down in my soul that tells me we're going to be together for the rest of our lives.
