Journal of a Dead Uchiha
Chapter 1
There is only darkness in this place. Ever since I went to sleep to escape the pain I have been stuck in this dark place. It's not so bad, I feel no pain now and there in is an odd warmth all around me. I have never felt like this before when I slept, maybe it's the pain-killers? I don't know…
I often find myself drifting these days, like my mind is slipping from my grasp. It is a very troubling feeling. It is like I am fighting against a force greater than myself. But I won't lose my mind. Then again, maybe I'm just over thinking this; it could just be the pain-killers…
It was a busy day in Konoha. The village was up to its usual level of activity, the market was busy and the hospital had its fair share of patients. One such patient was an Amaya Uchiha, a heavily pregnant Amaya Uchiha.
Her husband, Tatsuo Uchiha, was currently on his way to the hospital after having been released from his shift in the Uchiha Police Force to be with his wife as she gave birth. It was a troubling time, not an ideal time to bring a child into the world, with the Third Great Shinobi War still going on. However, there were whispers that it was coming to an end and he could only hope that they were true.
Tatsuo may have been an Uchiha – who are famous for their "stick-up-the-butt" tendacies – but he was more emotionally adept than his fellow clansmen. He would be damned if he let the clans uniform personality keep him from truly loving the day his first child is born.
All he had to do now was avoid distractions – like that Uzumaki of Minato's – and make it to the hospital. A relatively simple task.
Gah, it's getting tight. Why do I feel like I am being squeezed? Aren't I asleep? What kind of dream is this…
Guuuurrrrr… this has been happening for a while now. The squeezing would occur, recede, and return stronger than before. It was more annoying than uncomfortable, especially because it was starting to make me feel paranoid that this wasn't a dream.
Whatever, I'll just wait it-…
WOW! What is going on?!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Screamed the figure on the bed as she pushed when the doctor told her to.
"Just a little more Amaya, I can see the head. One, two, three, PUSH!"
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Screamed Amaya a final time as she pushed with all her might.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Came the scream of a newborn child.
They were rushed off to another part of the room as Tatsuo comforted Amaya. Although, neither was truly paying attention to each other, as they were trying to see their baby.
The nurses got to work, cleaning the baby and recording the proper paperwork. Finally, after all the work was done, the head nurse returned to the tired couple with a bundle in her arms.
"Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Uchiha, it is a healthy baby girl." Said the nurse in her gentle timber as she handed the newly deemed girl to her mother.
The new parents looked fondly upon their first-born curled up in the blanket she had been put in, and eyes squeezed tightly shut.
The baby girl had a light layer of black heir upon her head, although it could look like a dark purple if the light hit it right. She was small, easily fitting into her mother's arms, and likely to grow into a tall and petite young woman.
Gazing upon the beautiful scene of a new family, the Head Nurse finally decided to ask one of the most important questions of the young, baby girl's life.
"What are you going to name her?" the nurse addressed the two parents.
Smiling fondly down at her daughter, Amaya replied, "Her name is Unmei. Unmei Uchiha."
As if sensing the gifting of her name, Unmei's little eyes snapped open with startling strength at the sound of her name.
Little Unmei's eyes appeared to be black, like her parent's eyes, but as her mother repositioned her to get a better look, you could see Unmei's eyes were an intense navy blue.
Unmei fidgeted in her mother's grasp as she was repositioned, eyes still open and hungrily taking in the world. It was then that they landed on an item in the back of the room. She was unable to see it, as she was just a newborn, but to anyone else it was clear what was there.
A calendar. With the date.

The Next Beginning
AN: Yes, I know that BNT would not have existed for Konoha yet. This is more for the readers benefit, gives you a time to realize where we are in the story of Naruto. Appreciate it; I did RESEARCH to supply this info. I don't like research. Awesome, got that done. Um, totally awkward writing a birthing scene, ignore it if you must, I know I will. Nothing new, other than a report on A Difference Lying Down. I have not forgotten it. Plans to release the next chapter during spring break. Anyway, you have two more chapters to find and PM about the Easter Eggs (hidden extras or random things) you find in my story. If you get all four, I will let you make your own chapter for this story and you can be a part of the brainstorming process for chapters of this story.
HELP!
I just want you to know that I would appreciate any chapter ideas for life experiences for Unmei to experience.
