Chapter two
"Jack, my water broke."
The look on Jack's face was shock. Did their child really have to come now. He looked over at Sousa hoping to find an answer. But when he found only the same expression he looked at Angie.
"Angie, can you drive?" Jack asked almost ready to give the keys to her anyway.
"Ye...yes I do." Angie said coming to Peggy's side.
Jack took his keys out of his pocket. He knew that his baby with took legs was more important than his baby with four wheels at the moment. "Angie I need you to drive Peggy to the hospital." Jack said trying is best to stay calm.
"Daniel, I need you to call the hospital for me. Tell them Peggy is going into labor and will be on her way." Jack said to Sousa with a look that said "I'm going to need help". Jack then turned to Peggy.
His voice softened "I'm going to have to rearrange some things but I'll get over there as soon as I can." Peggy nodded in agreement, her thoughts were over clouded by the joy of the child but also with the fear of Dottie Underwood coming back into play. But all of her thoughts melted when jack said "I love you Peggy."
Her expression softened and she said "I love you too Jack." They kissed but Angie wouldn't let them linger she interrupted them.
"Ahem, there is a baby on the way. We've got to go!" Angie said getting their attention. Jack looked at her and then at Daniel.
"Daniel I want you to go with them." He moved in closer when he saw Daniel's look of protest "We don't know what's along the way," Jack started. "For all we know some unlikely friend could find their way to our gals." Jack said all in a whisper.
Daniel agreed and picked up his personal radio. He turned to
the ladies. "Let's get going."
As the four of them left the room Jack stayed in the bullpen to readjust the plan. "Alright men there's been a change. Peggy's gone into labor, and Agent Sousa has gone with them to make sure his fiancé and Peggy will be safe.
"So that means, Kolawalski. You are now the head of Sousa's group."
All the men responded "Yes, chief." The men dispersed to pick up their gear and then headed towards their vehicles.
Jack road with Kolawalski due to lack of his own car. He hoped that the capture of Dottie would be quick so he could be with his wife.
As for Dottie, the night she escaped from Peggy she managed to take off with a Stark
radio. She was changing the channels till she heard a familiar voice.
"Jack, we've got Peggy safe in her room. The doctors are going to be with her in a few
minutes." She registered right away Agent Sousa's voice.
"Ah, so Peggy is in the hospital? I wonder why that is?" She said to herself she was below deck with the baggage. That's the only place where her roommate on the ship didn't bother her.
She was cut from her thoughts when another voice came on.
"Good, can you put her on." Jack said with a hint of worry. He was at the pier. Everyone from the SSR is ready.
"Jack," Dottie recognize Peggy's voice immediately. And with one word a chill went up her spine. "Jack, get here soon. The doctor is saying that I need to start the delivery." Peggy said a little worried her husband her husband wouldn't be there.
"I'll be there soon. I love you Pegs"
"I love you too Jack."
Dottie turned off the radio as if they could hear her with it on.
"Oh so Peggy is having a baby," Dottie started. Her eyes never leaving the radio. "Well aunt Dottie is going to have to make visit won't she."
