POV Faith

"Do you expect me to believe you?" Damon snarls, his lip curling up in disgust.

"No" I reply, "Why should you? I'm a stranger after all."

He stares at me, before walking towards his liquor. Stefan glances at Alaric, confusion is written across both of their faces.

"How did you know Elizabeth?" The other Salvatore brother asks, taking a few steps towards me. Not once did his eyes leave mine.

I shrug, "Does it really matter how I know her?" I glare at Stefan, although his words weren't threatening his whole demeanor proved that he was trying to make me crack. Spill all my little dirty secrets to him.

"Yes."

Before I can reply Damon strides up to his younger brother with a glass in hand, "Stefan, she's lying she didn't know Elizabeth." He turns his attention towards me "Even if you did what makes you think I care what happened to Elizabeth back in 1864?"

"Because you were her best friend." I answer, rolling my eyes at his lie, "And for the last 145 years it still nags at you that you were never able to find her."

Damon opens his mouth but Stefan speaks first.

"Why now? I mean if you've known about Elizabeth all those years ago, why are you just coming to us now?" Stefan accuses, his arms cross over his broad chest.

I smirk but ignore Stefan's question. As I walk further into the boarding house I note that not a thing has change, well except for new liquor glasses. Something tells me that was Damon's doing. I grab my own glass and fill with Bourbon. Its smoky taste brings back memories of before, of Elizabeth. I frown slightly at the glass but it's quickly erased as though it was never there. I set the glass down and look at Damon.

"Look if you don't want to know I won't waste my time here." I sigh, "Besides I have more than one person who's been searching for answers." A simple white lie, but maybe that will get his attention. Damon's eyes light up suddenly, a fire burns in his blue eyes. I fight the urge to smile as I walk towards the entrance. Alaric continues to stand there as I walk to him. Before I make it to the door I'm thrown against the wall. I gasp as a hand tightens around my throat.

"Who?" Damon growls, dark veins trail under his now red eyes. I grab Damon's hand and pry it off of my throat. I hear the bones break in his hands as it bends in unnatural angles. He grunts in pain and confusion as I grip his shirt and fling him towards his brother. Stefan easily catches Damon and places him on his feet.

Anger courses through me, and I can't help it when my fangs slide into place. An animalistic growl escapes my lips as I stalk towards my prey. Damon. Just when I'm about to pounce Stefan steps in-between Damon and I. His arm is stretched out, as he signals me to stand down. Damon's murderous glare is ignored as I slowly let my face return to normal.

Stefan releases a breath of relief. "Now that that is out of the way, I think that we should maybe sit down and talk about Elizabeth." He suggests, and sends a pleading look towards Damon. Damon continues to glare at me but relax some and gestures towards the living room.

I hesitate but take a step forwards. Alaric follows behind me but keeps his distance. I sit on the couch opposite of Damon and Stefan. I watch Alaric as he glance nervously at the only empty spot which is beside me before he settles with standing behind the Salvatore brothers.

A few silent moments pass, then Damon's obnoxious voice echoes through the boarding house.

"So are we going to sit here all day or are you going to tell us your fake story."

I glare at Damon, but he simply smirks. In his mind he takes it as accomplishment. "Before I can tell you about Elizabeth I need something from you."

Stefan raise an eyebrow, "What would that be?"

"I need to open the tomb of which Katherine Pierce is located." I smirk at the surprise faces as I lean back into the couch.

"How do yo-" Stefan begins.

I scoff, "Do you really think I wouldn't know about Katherine? You boys think you're so special because you were Katherine's playthings, well newsflash Katherine's fucked over a lot of people." Damon's face darkens slightly, but Stefan's remains normal. Maybe one of the Salvatores has accepted Katherine's deceiving ways. "Trust me you're not that special." I finish.

Alaric surprises me by speaking for the first time, "Why do you need Katherine?"

"I have my reasons" I shrug, "After I'm done with Katherine I'll tell you about Elizabeth."

"That simple." Alaric scoffs.

I nod, jabbing my head towards Damon, "Then you and Katherine can run off into the sunset."

Damon chuckles while standing. He leans forward, "No deal."

"Damon..." Stefan protests rubbing his hand across his face.

"No Stefan, I told you she was lying. All she cares about is getting revenge on Katherine." Damon yells, pointing at me, "She probably just heard about Elizabeth from one of her vampire buddies and decided that would be a great cover story."

"She has a name." I mumble from my seat, watching the scene playing out.

Alaric sends me a warning glance. I roll my eyes, Alaric probably thinks that I have no chance against Damon and his big ego. But still I can't help but feel a bit grateful that at least Alaric cares enough to give some kind of warning. Damon and Stefan continue to argue, Stefan mostly on my side. Saying that Katherine wasn't worth it and knowing about Elizabeth would be closure, but Damon wasn't having it. Damon was still on Katherine's hook, maybe I couldn't trust him with my secrets. Damon isn't ready, I hope he will be when Katherine is released maybe then he'll see the truth.

I rise and stare at the Salvatore brothers. They glance in my direction at the sudden movement. "I have other places to be." I announce, "I'll give you boys until tomorrow to give me your answer." I continue to walk towards the entrance of the boarding house Stefan, Damon, and Alaric follow close behind me. I open the door and glance at Alaric. "Thanks for the lift." And slam the door behind me.

Mystic Falls 1864

POV Elizabeth

All I see is trees, maybe they aren't trees. I don't know what's real anymore, there's vampires, and witches. That's real. What else is out there, anything can be possible now. Maybe even werewolves. All those deaths, the bodies pale as though there wasn't any blood left in their bodies. We never though anything of it, but now my grandpa's stories don't seem like stories anymore. All along I was oblivious to what was around me, I didn't even realize that Katherine was one. Did Damon know? What about Stefan?

"Emily we have to go back." I insisted in-between breaths. I felt as though I was going to pass out. We had been running for a while now, and the weight of the dress was starting to get to me.

"We can't Miss."

"But Damon. He doesn't know that Katherine is a monster!" I protested, grabbing Emily's arm and slowing down into a walk. "Katherine could kill him!"

Emily looked over at me sadly, "Elizabeth… Damon knows."

I stared at her, "Damon knows what?"

"Damon knows that Katherine is a vampire."

I gasped, "And he's still with that… monster." Tears sprang up in my eyes, I shook my head in disbelief. "You said that vampires can compel people right?" she nodded, quickening her pace once again. "So maybe she compelled him, Damon could not understand what she really is."

Emily remained silent, but only urged me to continue running. I took her silence as an answer.

We continued running until we made it to a small cabin, a man similar to Emily step out of the front door.

"Emily?" the man asked.

"Yes brother." Emily said when we reached her brother. "We need your help."

He glanced over at me then back to Emily. He stood there for a moment before he gestured for us to enter.

The cabin was small, the scent of herbs was mingled in the air. Homemade furniture surround the fireplace. I was left to sit to alone in the living room while Emily and her brother decided what to do with me. I subconsciously rested my hand on my stomach, I smiled down but slowly it turned into a frown. How could I have not known? I hadn't felt different over the last few months. I probably wouldn't have known for awhile if it hadn't been for Emily. Maybe she would be able to tell me the gender of the baby. I would be able to take my mind off of everything was happening and start thinking of names. James would have a say, and most likely he would want the boy to be named James. I would protest but eventually give in and let him name it James. I never really up a fight.

Seconds later Emily and her brother re-entered the room, Emily sat beside me and grasped my hand. "Miss, we have a plan. My brother here will be bring you to a witch coven." She explained, "They live on a farm that's isolated, they will be able to protect you and the baby." She placed her hand on my stomach, a simple gesture but I appreciated it.

"Will you be accompanying us?" I asked.

She smiled and shook her head, "I must stay in Mystic Falls and make sure Miss Pierce keeps her promise." Emily stood pulling me up with her, "You must leave now Miss."

Emily guided me towards the entrance, "My brother will keep you safe, I promise."

"Thank you Emily for all you have done." I said, "You saved us." My hand hovered over my stomach as I walked towards the horse Emily's brother brought over. I climbed up behind him and wrapped my arms lightly around his waist. As the horse rode forward I couldn't help but feel worry eating at me, wondering what would happen next.
