"Wait, what?" Austin did a double take, his eyebrow arching in the process.
"She is saying that y-" Austin lifts his hand to stop her from finishing her sentence.
He sat down on the bench effortlessly, his hands clasping together. Anger was building up inside of him.
"I heard what you said. Who the fuck does she think she is?" He seethed, rubbing his hand against his chin obviously pissed.
Austin wasn't the type of person who would ever curse but considering the situation, who would blame him?
"Look, I don't have the full details, but I did get 'Sarah' to meet me at Corners Cafe at noon." Trish placed a hand on his shoulder trying to calm him down a bit.
Corners Cafe was a new cafe place that recently opened up where Sonic Boom as well as A&A Music Factory used to be. Long story short, Austin, Ally, Dez, and Trish wanted to expand the factory more since it became very successful so they moved to a bigger location.
Trish felt bad, she hated that someone could have the nerve to do this. She knows Austin, she knows he would never cheat on Ally. He's always been hopelessly in love with her since high school.
"I'm coming with you." Austin says almost abrupt.
"Austin, look, I think it's best if I go alo-" before she could finish he cut her off.
"Trish, I need to go, I need to know what the hell she wants from me and why she's putting these false accusations against me." He responds with exasperation evident.
"I know but Austin, you're a very famous musician, paparazzi's are always up your ass, and fans; fans basically stalk you everywhere!" Trish exclaims throwing her hands up.
"Trish! I'm not a little kid anymore, I think I can manage." He says flatly. She gave him a knowing look, he through his hands up in defense.
He knew he was childish, but he was mature enough to know better, at least to him.
Trish pressed her lips together forming a line. "I'm doing this to protect you, I can't have you going off on her in front of everyone!" She let out a frustrated sigh. Man, can her best friend be so stubborn.
"Fine!" He gave in.
"What are you going to tell Ally?" Trish asked after like a minute of silence.
He looked down at his hands, chewing down on his lower lip and twirled his wedding band with his thumb.
He knew he had to tell Ally but he just didn't know how.
"For now, let's keep this between you and me, I want to know more before I tell Ally." He says hesitantly before running a hand through his golden locks.
All he knew was that he's pretty much screwed.
"Austin?" Ally nudged her knee with his bringing him out of his thoughts. Austin has been zoned out for the past thirty minute.
"Hmm, what?"
"Are you okay? You've been spaced out for a while now." She scrunches her nose in concern.
He let out a small chuckle at how adorable his wife gets when she's worried.
"I'm fine, I'm just exhausted. I couldn't sleep last night." He says some what convincingly.
Although she knew Austin well enough to know when he's lying, she let it go—for now.
Ally nodded, wrapping her arms around his bicep and placing her chin on his shoulder.
He leaned his head down so their foreheads were touching, and kissed the bridge of her nose softly before moving down to peck her lips.
They pull apart when they were joined by Dez and Trish who promised to be here early but lost track of time.
"Sorry we're late..how's he playing?" Trish asks taking a seat beside Austin and Dez taking a seat beside Ally.
The buzzer went off indicating that the game was over.
"He was playing amazing, he scored 3 goals." Ally smiles looking at her then over at Ashton who had his back turned.
He was wearing a white hockey jersey with his last name and the number 23 sewn on the back in black letters. Ashton and his team were skating towards the entrance to the locker rooms.
"That was a great game!" Ally exclaims, standing up clapping her hands together. "Are you guys coming over?" She quickly asks throwing her bag over her shoulders.
"Sure." Dez smiles standing up as well, she turned over to Trish for her answer.
Trish checked the time on her phone and stood up gathering her purse in a hurry.
"I would love too but I have a meeting to attend to." She glanced at the time on her phone, before shouting. "I'm going to be late!"
She glanced over at Austin before waving and scurrying away towards the exit.
Austin knew where Trish was going and he still wished she would let him come with.
Dez looked over at Ally who just shrugged her shoulders just as confused as him.
"And there goes my ride." Dez says extending his words. Austin snorts placing a hand on his shoulder patting it, "It's okay man, you can ride with us."
Dez mutters a thank you.
"Mommy! Daddy! Uncle Dez!" yells a little voice which belonged to their energetic five year old.
He ran towards the group pulling on the strap of his duffle bag behind him, Dez bent down to lift him up running a hand through his damp hair, messing it up.
"You were awesome, from what I've heard." He chuckled, setting him down onto his feet. He reached down to retrieve the duffle bag to help him out.
The group made their way outside of the arena, they spotted a few people with cameras who were restrained back by security.
Austin helped Ashton onto his booster seat securing the seat belt in place. He left the door open allowing Dez to get in besides Ashton and Ally in the passenger seat.
Once he got into the drivers side, he turned on the ignition of his white R8 Audi.
Trish pushed open the doors of the cafe. Instinctively, she inhaled the strong aroma of coffee brewing. She made her way down each booth until she spots Sarah by herself. She sat across from her.
"Trish I presume?" The brunette says looking up.
"Slut, I presume." Trish retorted back before apologizing, not because she insulted her but because she's there as Austin's manager, not as his friend.
"How are you Trish?" She smiled so innocently.
"Okay cut the bull crap. You know why we are both here." Trish says folding her arms over her chest.
Her fake smile dropped and a serious one taking it's place.
"Look, four months ago, Austin was in New York with that red head friend of his, I think his name is Dez. They were celebrating his directing debut for his movie premiere." Sarah explains, looking over at Trish before running her index finger over the rim of her mug.
Trish bit down on her lower lip, remembering that day. How could she not? Ally stayed home because Ashton was sick with the stomach flu so Trish decided to stay with them since she couldn't take care of him by herself — well she could but what kind of friend would she be if she did?
"Afterwards, they went out to the after party. The party was hosted by a friend of mines who got me in. My friends and I met Austin and Dez and we all got really hammered and one thing led to another and well." She placed a hand on her stomach once more as if to finish her sentence.
Before Trish could respond, a voice came from behind who she knew exactly who it belonged too; Austin. Trish turned her head and sure enough it was him. He had on his black Ray Bans and a black snap back placed backwards, little blonde locks coming out from behind his ear.
"Why are you doing this to me, huh?!" Austin says with anger evident in his words.
"Hello, Austin." Sarah smiles, running a hand through her long brown hair.
Trish stood from the red cushioned seat, turning Austin around and pushing him towards the exit.
Luckily the café wasn't crowded today, there were a few people but nowhere near their table so they wouldn't hear their conversation.
Once they were inside Austin's car, Trish let out a sigh of relief when no paparazzi were to be seen; possibly stalking other celebrities.
"Austin, what the hell did I tell you? I told you I was taking care of it!" Trish says sternly turning herself so she was facing him, swatting his chest in the process.
Austin was shaking his leg vigorously, looking towards the cafés tinted windows his eyes darkening from anger.
He stayed quiet allowing Trish to continue, "now because of your outburst it's going to be tomorrow's topic!"
He let out a breath calming himself down. He looked from the café to Trish.
"I'm sorry Trish, I know I shouldn't have came. I've been in this damn car contemplating whether or not to come and I chose the latter." He sighed tiredly resting his head on the steering wheel.
"Just go home and I'll come over when I'm finished and I'll tell you what happens. I'll do my best in trying to keep this story from coming out." Trish promised letting out a sigh.
Austin was glad that he and Ally have Trish as a best friend, she has helped them out so much.
"Okay, thank you Trish. I appreciate it." He ran a hand through his golden locks.
"I'm your manager after all, it's my job." She says nonchalantly grabbing her bag from her feet and getting off the car. Trish watched as Austin turned on his ignition on and pulled out of the parking lot.
Once Austin's car was out of sight she walked towards the café once again making her way to the table.
"Sorry for his outburst." Trish said sitting down once more placing her purse beside her.
"Trish, look. I know Austin already has his own family and I wouldn't want to meddle in that." She puts a hand over her heart faking endearment.
Trish rolled her eyes growing impatient.
"Austin doesn't even have to be apart of the babies life at all and I'll even sign a confidentiality contract. Heck, I won't even go to the press." She smiles a fake smile placing a hand on her bulged stomach.
Trish knew there was a catch, there always is.
"If?" Trish asks skeptical.
"He pays me money to raise our child." She made sure to add emphasis on 'our'.
"How much to take care of this bundle of joy." Trish was seething, she could see right through her.
"Just your average 200."
"200 dollars? I'll pay you that myself." She says laughing, reaching into her purse for her wallet but stopped when she joined.
"Oh no silly, not 200 dollars I mean $200,000." Trish's jaw literally dropped to the floor and her eyes widening as if she was berserk.
"2-200 t-thousand dollars?" She choked out trying to get the words to come out properly.
Sarah nodded. "Oh and before I forget here." She reached her hand into her cross over bag and pulled out an envelope sliding it towards her.
"What's this?" Trish asks picking up the envelope looking up at her quirking a brow.
Sarah just smiled standing up from her position, tossing a $5 bill on the table. "We'll be in touch."
With that she exited the cafe leaving Trish confused as ever.
"Bath time!" Ally chimed, looking at the time being displayed on their cable box.
Ashton dropped his blue crayon into the yellow tub that filled with different colors of pencils, crayons, and markers.
"Do I have too." He whined looking from Dez to Ally then to Austin.
Ally looked at Austin giving him a look to take over this one.
Austin chuckles running a hand through his hair. "Yes you do now you better run before Dez has to go get the tickle monster."
Ashton looked over at Dez who was slouching down, his hands reaching his shoulder level and wiggling his fingers signaling that he's the tickle monster.
He looked over at Austin who gave him a 'you better run' look and before they knew it Ashton sprinted towards the staircase.
Dez chuckles looking over at Austin doing their signature 'what up' handshake.
"Works every time." Ally sighs happily leaning down to kiss Austin on his cheek before pushing herself up off couch and towards the stairs to prepare Ash's bath.
Austin stands up from his position and walking over to his 60 inch plasma television, turning it on.
He retrieves both of his ps4 remotes from the entertainment center.
He pressed the middle button to turn it on, handing one to Dez and sitting besides him. They begin playing the new COD.
Dez took a glance over at the staircase then over at Austin.
"Did you tell Ally yet?" He says pressing the appropriate buttons as they play.
Austin paused the game looking over raising a questionable brow.
"Tell Ally what?" He asks
Dez gave him a knowing look causing Austin to give him his full attention.
"How do you know about that?" He asks reaching over to retrieve his water.
"Trish told me. Does she know?" He says, jerking his head towards the staircase once more.
"No.. Not yet, but I am going to tell her when Trish tells me what this Sarah girl wants with me." Austin explains and as if on cue Trish strolls her way towards them.
"I didn't even hear you come in!" Austin says turning his attention to their frazzled friend.
"Sorry, I got here as soon as I could. Let's talk outside." Trish says placing her bag onto the couch.
"Okay, yeah." Austin tosses his remote to Dez lifting himself from the couch. "If Ally asks, we'll be outside."
He nods his head turning back to the TV adjusting the game settings to one player as Austin and Trish make their way towards the back yard.
Once they were outside they walk over to the patio area sitting down.
"Again Trish, I'm sorry for my outburst earlier I lost my cool and I shouldn't have showed up." Austin felt guilty, he knows how hard Trish works to make sure he is successful.
Trish waves her hand of dismissal.
"We have other problems to discuss." She sighs.
"What happened?" He quirked a brow.
Austin knew that there was no getting rid of this.
"She's willing to keep quiet.." Trish says hesitantly.
"If?"
"She wants $200,000.." She sucked in her bottom lip chewing down on it.
Austin did a double take looking at Trish, "t-two hundred thousand dollars?" He practically screeched.
"Look, she promised to sign a confidentiality contract, she won't contact you, and she won't go to the media with this." Trish began causing Austin to give her a look as if she was nuts.
"Hear me out, you'll be making way more money for doing this world tour, so $200,000 dollars won't be that much." She finishes placing a hand on his shoulders.
"Oh and then there's this." She reached into her purse pulling out a medium sized orange envelope.
She slid it across the table towards him.
Austin lifted up the envelope parting the flaps open to pull out a picture followed by two smaller ones.
"What's this?" He asks flipping them over.
"Fuck." Austin curses burying his head in hands running his fingers through his hair in the process.
"Look, I think you really should talk this over with Ally and go from there, call me when you settle an agreement." Trish says patting his shoulder, standing up from the chair and taking one last glance at Austin before making her way inside.
Austin stayed back for a few minutes being accompanied by chirping crickets. He had so much anger built up inside of him luckily he knew how to not lose his cool.
Austin slid the pictures back into the envelope and pushed himself up from the the patio table finally gathering up the courage to break the news to his wife.
Austin steadily paced himself towards the doubled doors of their backyard to enter back inside. He noticed that Trish and Dez left home.
He sighs to himself when he sees Ally in kitchen washing dishes, she was currently humming a new tune.
Austin leaned himself against the countertop his arms crossed. His fingers tapping silently on the envelope. He couldn't help but chew on his bottom lip nervously, his eyes wandering to the tiled floor.
Ally pushed down on the knob of the sink shutting off the water and drying her hands on one of the rags that hung on the oven handle.
Ally turned around jumping back, startled. She placed a hand over her heart that was beating vigorously.
"You scared me!" She replies with a breathy laugh.
Austin brought his attention from the floor, looking up to meet her gaze, he chewed on his lip harder.
"Austin, what's wrong? You haven't been yourself all day." She questions, pacing herself over to him looking up at him trying to read his expression.
After a few seconds of silence he finally spoke up, locking eyes with hers.
"We need to talk, it's kind of serious."
