Chapter 2

"Duo?"
The long haired boy opened his eyes slowly. No bullet, no pain, no hell. Shinigami would have to ride again to face another day.
"What, Heero? Goddamnit, I'm trying to have a moment with my gun here."
Heero opened the door, and found him with the gun to his temple again. Jumping on him, he wrestled the weapon from his hand.
"Baka! What if you would've hurt yourself?!" Heero gritted his teeth through the words, as he opened the chamber and let the bullet come out.
Duo sighed and flopped to the floor. He was just... so angry... and depressed. So depressed. Maybe this was hell. Having to deal with what he had done was just.. he couldn't. He covered his eyes with his arm, and let out a soft sob under his breath.
"Duo, you're going back to the doctor tomorrow."
"No. Fuck you."
"Duo, you ne-"
"No."
"Listen to me, baka!" Heero said, as he grabbed Duo's arm, and pulled it off of his eyes, revealing tears around purple irises with red whites. Those eyes were looking at him accusingly.
"WHAT? What do you fucking want?" He shoved Heero off of him and sat up.
"I'm trying to get you some help. I know that you've been upset lately, and-"
"THAT'S been an understandment."
"-and, you need to realize that war happens. Casualties, and-"
"It was a whole TOWN, Heero. A whole town. I may be the God of Death, but even THAT'S ridiculous." Duo said tiredly, hanging his head. "And what was the death for? Nothing...so that maybe we could gain a little ground. Keep some jackoff from taking the town. Well, you know what? That jackoff probably wouldn't have destroyed everything." He rubbed his chest a bit. He was now beginning to sob, the hot tears flowing down his face, and landing on his lap. "I'm sick of it, Heero...I'm sick of all this bullshit."
Heero nodded, and stood up, getting the phone.
Duo kept crying hot, bitter tears, as he looked up at Heero. "Wh-what are you doing?"
"Calling your doctor. You're getting off of those meds."
"Huh? But aren't the meds helping me?"
"Hn."
"Goddamnit, Heero."
