Merry Christmas! I thought that I would give you guys another chapter of the story.

First of all, I want to say thank you to all of you for giving my story a chance! I hope that you will continue to read the story and enjoy it. Like I said in the description, the story is going to jump back and forth. Since the last chapter was about Jessica and Chris, this chapter will be about your favorite wildcats. I hope you all enjoy!

Also, I will update again next week, so be on the lookout for that. Anyhow, enjoy the chapter and remember to R&R!

Chapter Two: It's the Start of Something New

(Gabriella's POV)

It seems like I just blinked my eyes and I was at my graduation. Now, I'm getting ready to head to Stanford. I'm glad that Troy is only going to be 32.6 miles away from me. I don't know if I could have handled a long-distance relationship. I know people that have been able to, but I think that it would be too hard.

I spent the entire summer working in Albuquerque so that I could still be with my friends. I hated to leave them and head back to California-even though it is going to be my home for the next four years.

"Gabi, are you almost ready to go?" Troy asks.

"Yeah," I say as I fold a shirt and stick it in my suitcase.

"It's going to feel weird leaving this place," he says.

"It is, but it's not like we're leaving Albuquerque for the rest of our lives," I point out.

"That's true," he says. "It will be good for you to be able to see your mom."

"Yeah, I haven't seen her since she flew here for graduation," I say. "I'm glad that you picked a school that was close to Stanford."

"Me too," he says with a smile. I then put one more thing in my suitcase and zip it up.

"Now, I'm officially packed," I say.

"Great," he says. I then look at my phone and see that I have a text from Taylor. It says, I thought we could all hang out before we leave. Do you and Troy want to meet at Starbucks?

"Troy, Tay was going to see if we wanted to meet her and Chad at Starbucks before we all head off to college," I say.

"Sure, that would be great," Troy says.

"Ok, then I'll let her know," I say. After a few minutes, Troy and I head over to Starbucks. We then spot Chad and Taylor, order drinks, and sit down.

"It's crazy that this is the last time we will all be together for a long time," Taylor says.

"I know," I say. "It's going to be weird."

"It won't be too bad," Chad says. "We will all see each other on Thanksgiving and definitely once the semester is over."

"That's true," Taylor says. "It still won't be the same." I don't want today to be a sad day. I don't want this to be the last memory of us being together.

"So, Tay are you excited about going to Yale?" Troy asks changing the subject.

"I am, it's been my dream school since I was a little girl," she says with a smile. "It's going to be a great four years."

"I'm glad that you'll be happy," I say. "Yale is going to be lucky to have you there."

"Thanks," she says. "Stanford is going to be lucky to have you there too." We all then talk for a little while and eventually we go our separate ways. Tomorrow, Troy and I are heading to California to move into our dorms. I don't know if I'm ready for this quite yet, but I'm excited to see what the next chapter of our lives is going to look like. It's definitely going to be the start of something new. I'm just glad that I have my Wildcat by my side. I think this may end up being our best year yet!

(Kelsi's POV)

I'm excited, yet nervous at the same time about starting at Juilliard. I know that it is going to be an amazing opportunity, but what if I'm not good enough. I was good for East High, but what if I'm not good enough for Juilliard. Yeah, I got a full ride to Juilliard, my dream school, but still I'm extremely nervous. The great thing is I will have my amazing boyfriend Ryan by my side. I'm so happy that he made it to Juilliard too. Tonight, we are leaving for New York. It's going to be a new adventure, but something I am looking forward to.

I'm at East High for the last time, at least for now. I then walk into the all too familiar auditorium. I want to play on that piano one more time before I go. I don't know why, but I always feel at home when I am here.

I then start playing an all too familiar tune. I wrote this for the school musical just months ago. It was one of my favorite songs, one that I wrote for my best friends- Troy and Gabriella.

"What's that you're playing?" Ryan asks.

"I think that you remember this song," I say. I then play the beginning chords of the song. Ryan then smiles and starts singing. (Bold=Both; Italics=Ryan; Normal=Kelsi)

Mmm, mmm, yeah

I got a lot of things I have to do
All these distractions our future's coming soon
We're being pulled

A hundred different directions
But whatever happens
I know I've got you

You're on my mind, you're in my heart
It doesn't matter where we are
We'll be alright, even if we're miles apart

All I want to do is be with you
Be with you
There's nothing we can't do
Just want to be with you, only you
No matter where life takes us
Nothing can break us apart
(You know it's true)
I just want to be with you
(Yeah, yeah)
Just be with you

You know how life can be
It changes overnight

It's sunny then raining, but it's alright
A friend like you
Always makes it easy
I know that you get me
Every time

Through every up, through every down
You know I'll always be around
Through anything you can count on me

All I want to do is be with you
Be with you
There's nothing we can't do
Just want to be with you, only you
No matter where life takes us
Nothing can break us apart
(You know it's true)
I just want to be with you
I just wanna be with you

Once we finish the song, Ryan kisses me. It's a perfect ending to the song.

"I can't wait to get to Juilliard," Ryan says. "It's going to be amazing."

"I agree," I say. "I'm a little bit nervous though."

"Why?" he asks.

"What if I'm not good enough?" I ask.

"Kelsi, you're so talented," he says. "Juilliard thinks so too, you belong there."

"So, do you," I say.

"We're both going to do great there," he says.

"How can you be so sure?" I ask.

"I honestly don't know for sure," he says.

"I don't either, but I'm hopeful," I say.

"So am I," he says. He then looks at his watch. "Well, we need to get going, we have a plane to catch."

"Let's get going then," I say. "It's going to be the start of a great year for both of us."

"It is," he says. We then leave East High and go on to the airport. We're starting our new lives together, and it's the start of something new for us-all of us really. It's going to be a great year for all of us and I'm really excited to see what happens.
