As he waited for the unknown ship to land on the hull of the ship, he examined how the ship was built. It was very odd. Its colors were comprised of a light purple, metallic black and gray, and blues that were going inward; each time getting greener and greener. The front of the ship reminded him of a Scarab; with how the legs and front looked from a 2D view. It had a sort of window, which had those turning green blue colors, which looked like a curved visor plate. Strangely though, it only had two things to land on and it had a very long top-most likely where the pilot must be. How it could balance itself when it lands was beyond him.

"Cortana I want a potential threat assessment on that hostile." Chief ordered.

Cortana was already on it, two steps ahead actually. Many interesting things that were not guarded by the security protocols that seemed to protect the ship's valuable data. Another strange thing is that aboard the ship was a sort of AI entity; if you could call it that. It was more of a serious of minds and personalities and such put into a computer to give it a better processing rate and intelligence. This AI-like entity was fairly advance, but not as advanced and experienced as she was. But, there was something to note about the AI…it didn't have a seven year expiration date…

"I've ran the scan, it seems that the occupant of the ship has very advanced technology and advanced weaponry. It is kind of like the covenant weapons, only they seemed to be based on a different power source to produce that power. But, beyond this I cannot find more, as most of the information is locked down tight in an advanced computer." The AI explained.

Giving her a brisk nod, Chief crouched down and pressed his back against the cover that he had found. He slowly took out his MA5D ICWS variant assault rifle and loaded a clip into it. He pulled the little slider bolt to load in the first round; getting it ready to go fully automatic if needed. He continued to brace himself against the cover and waited for the occupant to land and make its way over to him; counting the seconds that passed as he waited.

Samus watched as her ship finally made the last leg of the approach and descent, getting up from the spot on the floor she had been on to calm the animals and walking towards her chair. She peered out the "window"; of sort, and saw nothing but pure desolation and isolation. It was very surreal, ship wreckages usually if not always were. It was weird too stumble upon them and roam around the wreckage, seeing what and trying to figure out what exactly the previous occupants did and were like when they were in control of the ship.

The feeling was the same thing she felt when she was tasked with investigating the Flagship SS Valhalla. Seeing nothing alive in the ship that wasn't out to get her was unsettling enough, but then she had known the fate of the ship, who the occupants were, and what the ship was. Now, she had no clue about any of that stuff with this ship.

Feeling the soft thud of the ship landing, the Bounty Hunter looked towards the sort of elevator exit panel and advanced to and onto the panel.

"Adam, lower the elevator." She ordered as her Varia suit came online and virtualized onto her body.

"Okay, lowering it now. Good luck milady." It replied as it did as she ordered.

Once the elevator lowered and touched the floor of the ship's hull; a sort of barrier going around the opening of the hatch to keep the oxygen inside, the Hunter took her first few steps along the hull. She panned her head to and fro around the scene and examined her surroundings. 'There was no possible way that anything could have survived whatever did this to this ship…' she thought. Despite her mindset, it seemed more logical to save her suit's energy by leaving her shield since there was no way that anything could have survived on this ship. Didn't even look like any Space pirates had gotten their hands on it or even located it. So why be so on guard if there was nothing here?

The soldier held his gun to the right and kept his finger wrapped around the trigger, he heard light footsteps; more so from almost feminine feet, that had a clunky metal sound. [Don't think it is logically? Have you noticed that in the one part in space in Halo 4 that you can hear the gunshots, sounds of the covenant, and virtually everything else?] It reminded him of his own footsteps really. Readying himself, Chief round the corner and stood up; keeping a trained bead on the unknown entity.

"Halt! Identify yourself or you will be considered an enemy and be dealt with accordingly!" He ordered.

Master Chief looked at the Unknown entity. It was completely silent and did nothing for a while, until finally it raised its right arm—which looked like a cannon of some kind—and caused John to take a guess that this unknown entity did not mean benevolent intentions. That and he wasn't speaking and didn't seem to have intentions of putting down its possible weapon.

The soldier acted fast, faster than the Hunter, he squeezed the trigger down hard and peppered the entity with lead rain. The rain droplets made direct contact with the entity and seemed to pierce through its armor in some parts—mostly the breastplate and abdomen parts. Its armor sparked with a small shower of concentrated yellow colored particles from where the bullets pierced through its breastplate and abdomen parts of its armor, both of which had what seemed to be barely powered shielding that provided poor protection.

The soldier managed catch sight of the entity's arm cannon thing charging up; as its free hand clutched its helmet, and fired what looked like a missile of some kind at him. The missile rocketed right at Chief, he fired his gun at the rocket-ending up running out of bullets in the current cartridge-until it detonated. The explosion caused both John and the entity to fly backwards a bit from the explosion. But, John was able to recover and keep from being effected by the knock-back and force of the explosion from his shields taking the majority of it.

The entity seemed to be dazed or rather stunned from the missile's explosive kinetic force, it gave the soldier the perfect opportunity of attack. Taking this opportunity, Chief ran at the dazed entity and advanced to knee it hard in the stomach. The soldier then grabbed the back of the entity's helmet, pull it up, and smashed a right hook into where his right cheek would be. Following up with one last close range attack, the soldier took a small step backwards, brought his leg up, and rammed the bottom of his boot in its breast plate; or at least where it should be on its suit. The force of the kick was almost equivalent to a double-Decker England bus going fifty miles per hour, it launched the Bounty Hunter spiraling backwards fifteen feet or so-making her smash into a nearby array antenna of some kind.

John watched as the entity slowly began to stumble backwards, the kick had more than likely knocked the wind from his lungs. Reaching down to his waist, Chief pulled an M-16 Fragmentation grenade from the place it was hooked onto. He put his assault rifle on his back and pulled the pin of the grenade, he then brought his arm back and then swung it forward as hard as he could. The grenade went spiraling through the air, it made a direct B-line to and clanged against the entity's helmet. The obstacle the grenade hit was enough to make it stop and started to gradual float back, but it was close enough; deathly close in fact, when it detonated.

The explosion created a brilliantly iridescent flash of light and when it cleared Master Chief could see that the entity was now leisurely floating upwards; as the grenade had more than likely slammed the entity back against the array and kept him from moving to far back. More than likely the explosion at point blank range was enough to render him unconscious.

Gradually the soldier crept towards the-now neutralized-entity. He reached up, gripped onto its right boot, and pulled it down-ramming it down and pinning it with his left boot on the floor. He reached up and seized hold of the combat knife that was attached to the front of his left breastplate. He slid it out, crouched down, and hovered the tip of it over its visor plate. It was a mix of a dark green at the edges and a light glowing green in the center; it had the same shape as the ship's "window". It was somewhat see through at the corners and allowed partial vision to the viewer to see its eyes, but it wasn't opaque enough in the middle to actually see the rest of its face.

Chief ascended the knife high above his head and braced himself to plunge it through the visor and through its visor, "Chief wait!" Cortana exclaimed.

In the middle of the plunge, John was barely able to stop himself-luckily he managed to stop it right as the tip made contact with the visor.

"What? Why are you stopping me?" He asked.

"I'll explain later, but first we have to hurry and get... him to the infirmary. He is losing a lot of blood very fast!" Cortana exclaimed.

Not understanding her reasoning, but complying, the Super Soldier grabbed onto the entity's left arm, slung it around his shoulder, and then stood and hoisted it and himself up off the floor. He put his left arm around the entities back and kept the thing's arm around his neck with his right hand. He then proceeded to rush towards and through the airlock; the same humming coming from his boots like last time emitting, and towards the infirmary-with Cortana's guidance of course.

Finally at the medical ward of the ship, it was possibly the most intact and well up-kept section of the ship. Cortana saw to that. It would no doubt be the most useful and would be needed to kept in the most sterile and working condition as possible.

"Okay, you probably know how to do one of these, but just in case you forgot since the past four years, I'll help guide you through it." Cortana stated.

"First, lets take off her armor as to see where the gunshots are. Luckily, I think I can try and hack into the ship he arrived in to find out how to deactivate the armor. This should only take a minute or so, so plug me into the nearest terminal." She explained.

Chief did as she listed and began to wait.

Cortana acted quickly, she used the short range communication systems that were still working and proceeded to begin trying to hack into the ship. When she did, Cortana found that the computer she had detected before had complete control of the ship right now. The computer was very intelligent and strong, but it was just that. A computer. It wasn't some type of AI integrated into the ship itself, it was just a computer with a collection of personalities and minds from the look of it. After a few seconds Cortana managed to isolate the exact location of the computer's controlling part, extract and move it into a wireless storage space on the ship, and made sure that it was locked out of all possible systems and access points that could potentially give it control of some aspect of the Forward Unto Dawn.

Now with the computer out of the way, the AI was able to easily hack into and decipher the files aboard the ship; quickly finding the one on the woman's suit. Collecting the information, Cortana receded back into the medical bay and told John to plug her back into his helmet. He did so and listened as she told him to make contact on the entities armor. The soldier did so and touched the woman's forearm, with the contact Cortana was able to use the information she collected and turned the suit off.

"Good," she said as the suit faded away, "now your going to have to strip her of the bluish suit quickly."

Seeing that this armored warrior was actually a woman took the Master Chief a bit by surprise. He found it a bit stupid that he didn't think of it before hand, but in hindsight he didn't entirely have ample opportunity to do so. He did as Cortana asked; following her instructions on how to take the suit off, and looked over her body to find where the gunshots were.

"Now first we have to make sure that there is an open airway, that her breathing is normal, and that is circulation. My scans read that she doesn't have a possibility of some kind of cervical damage or anything, so.."

Cortana went step by step in explanation of how John needed to do the operation. What could Cortana possibly know that would keep this... human; strangely enough, woman's life intact? It was almost enough to make Chief curious... almost.
