The eighth time proves too much, and Olivia flees the map chamber. Her broken sobs echoing off of too empty halls

Axel is alone in his own silence, just him and a amulet with three lifeless gems.

Lifeless.

His fists clench and he reaches for the blasted jewelry, ready to yank the piece of junk and blast it into nothing.

But something stops him. He's not sure what.

His hand hovers over his amulet, the red and green beams dancing through his fingers and pointing to the map. The red beam is slowly moving away from the green.

Axel looks towards the door, then with a heavy sigh his hand drops. Because deep down he knows breaking the amulet isn't going to change a thing.

Axel leaves the mechanism on, too weary to try again, it will be the same result anyway.

But maybe Olivia was right, perhaps it is broken.

He leaves, a little hopeful, maybe Ellegaard would know what was wrong with it, even Gabriel might.

So the King of Boom Town leaves, hanging onto one last hope, and closing the door with a soft click.

There is silence in the map chamber, save for the hum of the gems. The hum gets louder, then-

The blue gem lights up, then purple, followed by the white. Their beams dance across the map, covering all corners, till stopping on the location of a old ruin. A ruin with a magical door, that not long ago, had visitors.

The three lights glowed together on the map, pulsing gently, as if to send a message to those no longer present.

They stayed on a moment longer before going once again dark.
