Chapter 2 - Getting ready for the Date
Katrina shifted a bit. Bruce notices a series of thin lines in the form of tattoos under the burns. But Bruce didn't know what the Tattoos meant, but he notices she was injured. With a flic of a few buttons on his gauntlet out of the Alley came a Futuristic Motorcycle decked out in red and white paint with a few Assassin Logos on it.
He carefully places her on the front and he sat behind her, making sure she won't fall during their trip towards his HQ. And so Bruce takes off and heads off towards his home. Katrina stayed unconscious as Bruce drove through the streets, passing a few cars by as he was at it.
After a few minutes of speeding through the City, they reached his Home. Bruce parked his Motorcycle and hopped off, he took Katrina and rested her on his arms and walked quickly towards his door. There appeared a scan which scanned for Bruce's right normal eye, it said access granted and welcomed him inside the door opened as he went inside as it closed behind him.
He took the Elevator and went down in his "Basement" which had some of the most advanced pieces of technology thanks to his Mentor Antipatros. He walked towards the Emergency/Healing room. he gently placed Katrina in a Bacta Tank Chamber to take care of her injuries and burns. He typed something on his console and so the recovery of Katrina was in work. Katrina's tattoos glowed blue as she rested in the bacta. The fluid swirled around slowly, as her burns began to slowly but visibly heal.
"So that's what her tattoos are for huh?" Bruce said, realizing. He then sat on an armchair and opened his cigarette box and took a cigarette and a lighter and started to smoke again. "Wonder when will I start to cough." he chuckled taking his hoodie off revealing his face, a sand white like colored skin, dark blond-brown hair, eyebrows, short beard, and a light blue eye along with his faint yellow cybernetic eye.
Katrina continued to heal, her tattoos glowing brighter and the bacta swirling faster. She opened her eyes and looked around, then at herself. Katrina looked back up and then at Bruce.
As her vision turned back to normal she saw Bruce, smoking and enjoying it, probably not the most healthy of things but he notices her too and he simply smiles and waves his hand. "You feeling alright?" he asked.
Katrina nods shyly. Her tattoos begin to fade as her burns finished healing and the bacta swirled slower and slower.
Bruce stands up and walks towards his console and type something and made the Bacta Tank stopped. He walked towards it and opened it up. "Hello there, you're a lucky one that I've found you, or else you wouldn't be here," he said.
Katrina stepped out and eyed Bruce nervously, not saying anything. Her bright green eyes seemed to be looking into his soul as she examined Bruce.
She might notices that his left eye was once replaced by a cybernetic eye do to once injuring his said left eye. However, his soul might reveal that throughout his hard shell, he cares about people and that he is kind at heart, though experienced in battle he has still much to learn to achieve overall good experience in life. "Hey, it's alright you don't need to be nervous. I'm not going to hurt you." Bruce ensured her.
Katrina stepped back, not completely trusting Bruce."W-where am I?" She asked quietly.
"You're in my home." He said showing her around. "A pretty secured place."
Katrina followed Bruce, taking in her surroundings. "What happened?" She asked.
"You don't remember?" Bruce asked. "Well, I don't exactly know what happened to you but when I discovered you, you were in a bad shape, burns everywhere and you were unconscious," he said.
If Katrina was minding her surroundings, she could see throughout the place a few Assassin outfits, a pair of other Hidden Blades and other weapons alongside a few motorcycles and a vehicle. Katrina thought back to the plasma blast, the cyborg, and Reyes and the others. "I remember now." She said. She looked curiously at the assassins gear, her tattoos slightly glowing purple. She didn't trust Bruce, and some of these outfits were unnerving.
Bruce notices her curiosity about his Assassin gear. "Oh you find it interesting or is it to you unnerving?" he asked.
Katrina said quietly, "un-unnerving."
"Perhaps if I explain to you about my Creed you would understand it better," Bruce suggested. "I'm one of the good guys, don't worry. Are you hungry?" he asked.
Katrina nodded. "Y-yes." She stuttered.
Bruce clicks the Elevator button and it opened. "Ladies first," he said waiting for her to go first in the Elevator.
She walked in and stood in the corner. "Why are you being so nice to me?"
Bruce walked in and press the button to go to the middle floor. He rested himself on the opposite corner. "Why wouldn't I?" he asked, not quite sure if he should tell her, he likes her.
"B-because I'm a... freak." She says the last word even quieter than the rest of the sentence.
"A freak?" he asked, confused, right then the Elevator reached its destination and opened the doors, revealing a cozy wood built home with beautiful furniture and large rooms. "After you," he said he gestured, hoping the beauty of his home might lighten up the mood.
Katrina nodded, as she walked out of the Elevator, walking into the living room. "My abilities... they scare me." She then sat down in a chair. Her tattoos had stopped glowing.
"Well," he said, following her into the living room. "You shouldn't be, you should take them as a blessing, not a curse," he explained, trying to convince her.
Katrina nodded thoughtfully. "Do you have soup?" She asked.
"Yes, I do." Bruce said, "As the mater of fact before I walked through the city I made soup." Bruce walked into the kitchen and opened the gas cooker and let it cook for 5-10 minutes so it gets a bit hotter. "You want any drink to go with it?" he asked, all the way into the Living Room.
"Water," Katrina answered. "I think he likes me... this is so weird." she thought.
The soap was done, and he took a bawl and powered the soup in it. Right after he took a glass and placed water in it. And he brought it to her and place them on the nearby table beside her armchair, where she had her spoon and everything.
He sat on an armchair which was near the table where she was as well and said. "bon appétit." Katrina began eating the soup. She took a few sips of the soup. She then took a sip of her water and continued eating.
"You're really hungry." he thought. "So would you like to know about the Assassins?" Bruce asked.
She shrugged. "Sure." She continued eating while looking at Bruce, curiosity in her eyes.
"The Assassins were formed by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad once a wise Grandmaster, but it's true Origins began many thousands of years ago, where the first Assassin was a Medjay once called Bayek of Siwa and now Bayek the Hidden One, the founder of the Assassin's Brotherhood in the time of Ancient Egypt," he explained and continuing on with the story."After that once more another well-known Assassin called Ezio Auditore De Firenze, which finalized and perfected the Brotherhood as we are now known to be, I grew up with the Assassins and soon right after became one but one can only become a true Assassin if he understands the philosophy of our Creed," Bruce said.
Katrina nodded. "I've never heard of the Assassins before... are they superheroes?"
"Not typical superheroes, just heroes. Normal people who help the world from the shadows," he said. "Now I mentioned the Creed you might wonder what that is. Well, I'll explain it to you." Bruce said as he explained. "The Creed goes as followed: Nothing is true, everything is permitted. To say nothing is true is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say that everything is permitted is to understand that we are the architects of our actions and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic." he ends.
Katrina nodded as she continued eating her soup. "Interesting," she thought, "this sounds really important. I better not irritate these guys."
She finished her soup. "Thank you for the soup." She said.
"You're most welcome," Bruce said. "But to put it in a simpler way, we are kinda like vigilantes. Though I try to go by the role of a superhero it's hard," he explained. "Also would you like anything else?" Bruce asked.
Katrina shook her head. "No, but thank you." She stood up and walked into the kitchen to put her bowl away. She walked back into the room and sat down awkwardly.
Bruce stood up and walked towards a wall, he removed his gauntlets, two hand cannons and the two pieces which would form a rifle and stored them on a wall. He did this as to ease the awkwardness and make her feel actually like home. He walked back and sat down and spoke. "So what's your name?" Bruce asked.
"Katrina." She answered.
"Nice to meet you, Katrina, I'm Bruce," he said.
Katrina nodded. "Nice to meet you too." She answered in her quiet way.
"So where you from? What do you do for a living?" he asked.
"I'm from here, Los Angeles." She answered. "And I'm just out of college."
"College?" he asked amused. "I went to college too, so how old are you even?"
"Twenty-two." She answered.
"I'm Twenty-four," he responded. "Say you haven't have happened to have a boyfriend would you?"
Katrina blinked, surprised. "Okay, yeah, he definitely likes me." she thought. "N-no." She answered shyly.
"This might work." he thought. "Interesting, a pretty girl like you with no boyfriend." he complimented her.
Katrina blinked again, "t-thank you." Her brain swirled in a flurry of thoughts. "He likes me. What now? Do I like him? I don't know. What do I do?"
Bruce nods. "You're welcome." he then thinks. "Should I make a move, or wait for her. This is harder than it looks."
Katrina sat, feeling more awkward and shy then she had in her entire life. Bruce did make an effort to make her comfortable, yes, but it was just in her nature to be shy.
"Ah Screw it, if you want to be a man, you have to always do it first." he thought. "...You know, we just met but...I don't know..there is something which pulls me to you like a black hole which sucks everything up..in other words. I like you.." Bruce said his hand turned into a fist feeling a bit awkward and cringed out.
Katrina blinked. Her mind filled with so many thoughts, so much information. "O-okay. Uh..." she said not sure what to say. "HE ADMITTED IT! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW?! AAAGGH" she thought. Her eyes betrayed her confusion and panicked.
"Great Sherlock, a great way to go." Bruce thought. "There is no need to panic if you don't feel the same way."
Katrina said nothing, still stunned and surprised.
"So..you know it would help if you said something...do you like me?" he asked.
Katrina thought for a moment, gathering her thoughts and her courage. She took a breath. "No." She continued. "B-but we can still h-hang out... I'm j-just new, t-to all this."
"Sure," Bruce said. "I'd hate to rush things, I'll want for this to be special… so what's your opinion about an Eagle as a pet or companion?" Bruce asked as he then stood up.
"Eagles are c-cool." She stuttered, still unsure of what to do or say. She stood up as well.
"If so then follow me," Bruce said as he was heading towards a balcony, he whistled and from the Sky a beautiful Eagle came, making a few eagles calling sounds as she approached Bruce as she approached he rose his left arm and let the Eagle rest on his left forearm. "Katrina meet Hope," Bruce said. The Eagle looked majestic and large, Hope was a Golden Eagle, a rare specimen at that, she squawked.
Katrina smiled shyly. "Hello."
Hope squawked again which meant she said hello too. "Hey I think she likes you, there is no need to be shy here you want to take a closer look?" he asked
Katrina nodded and stepped, holding out her arm.
Bruce stretches his arm and Hope flies over to Katrina making a cute squawking sound when she landed on her arm.
Katrina smiled. "Can I pet her?" She asked Bruce.
"Yes, go ahead," Bruce said.
Katrina gently stroked Hope's back.
Hope liked being stroked on her back so she was feeling very comfortable and relaxed and asking for more petting
Katrina's smile grew as she stroked the beautiful eagle's back. "Where'd you get her?"
"Oh well, actually she found me," Bruce said coming near the two and pets Hope on her head. "I once found her on a high mountain in an Eagle Nest and she was the only one there, I couldn't have let her die and I decided to take her and grow her up," he said.
"Oh, neat," Katrina said.
"Yeah she is one of a kind and now she'll be watching over you too," Bruce said. "As the matter of fact feel free to live here if you don't have a home of your own."
"Oh," Katrina said, surprised, "Thanks."
"You're welcome," Bruce said. "Say you want to feed her?" he asked.
"Yes, please!" Katrina said, happily.
Bruce chuckled. "Alright, just a sec.," he said taking a bawl of meat specialized for Eagles. "Here," he said stretching out the Bawl for her to take a piece of tiny meat, Hope already squawked full of joy it was feeding time for her anyway.
Katrina took the meat and held it out for Hope, as she does so Hope gently takes the meat and eats it. Katrina then smiles again, as she began to look visibly relaxed around them.
Hope squawked again she wanted a bit more. "She's asking for more," Bruce said. Katrina offered another piece of meat. Hope eats it and then she gently tried to rub her face onto Katrina's cheek, and she allowed her to do so and felt her soft feathers.
"Is this the first time you saw and held an Eagle?" Bruce asked, to which Katrina nodded.
"Well, what are your thoughts about her?" Bruce asked.
"It's both a little scary and amazing," she said, looking at Hope.
"I never founded her scary," Bruce said. "But I see where you coming from, so you have any questions you might want to ask?" Bruce asked.
"What kind of eagle is she?" Katrina asked as she stroked Hope.
Hope enjoyed it. "She is more of a Golden Eagle, specialized for prey but since I grew her up she can do many things, which I would need if I was in any kind of trouble," Bruce answered.
Katrina stroked Hope some more. "How long have you had her?"
Hope squawked in enjoyment. "I have her since I was 16," Bruce answered.
"Wow," she said, amazed. But she then yawned because she was still exhausted from all that had happened to her.
"You're tired?" Bruce asked. "If you want you can go to sleep, I have plenty of rooms," Bruce said.
Katrina nodded, yawning again. "That would be nice, yes." Hope then flew off and went to her nest and rested, she's been flying for a few hours. But she did say goodbye in her own squawk language.
"Then follow me, milady," Bruce said.
Katrina waved to Hope and followed Bruce. "Wait he called me lady?" she thought. "Wow. That's cute, I have to admit it."
Bruce gave Katrina the best room he had for guests. He opened the door and said. "Voilà, a pretty room for a pretty girl," Bruce said winking at Katrina. She tried to hide her feelings but failed. Her cheeks turned red as she walked into the room.
"So what do you think, cozy?" he asked, as he entered after Katrina. The room was made out of rustic young wood which gave it a more of a tan brown look. There was this bright light coming from the sun illuminating the room, there were red curtains with gold accents and there was a huge bed for two people, but in truth, the bed could fit four people.
"Yes," Katrina said. She walked around, examining the walls and bed.
"Well, if you like it this could be your room," Bruce said.
Katrina nodded. "That would be nice. Thank you."
Bruce smiled. "You're welcome and, hey, feel free to roam around mi casa su casa," he said.
Katrina smiled and nodded, stretching a bit.
"Well, I guess I am keeping you from sleeping," Bruce said as he walked towards her sleeping cabinet. "If you need anything just ask me and also you could contact me through this comm, I have a big house you can get lost, y'know?" he said placing the comm device on top of the cabinet.
"Thank you," she said, tiredly.
Bruce simply winked as he then walked towards the door and said one final thing before closing it. "Any other kind of questions you may want to ask?" he asked politely, his face illuminated by Katrina's beauty.
"No, thank you," Katrina replied, yawning again.
"Alright, I bid you sleep well," Bruce said smiling and right then left and closed the door. He walked through the hallway not really far away from Katrina's room and he sat down on an armchair and he lights a cigarette and started smoking."I hope she ain't against smokers, 'cause I certainly do enjoy it," he said making himself comfortable while closing his eyes for rest.
Katrina got into the bed. "What a day." she thought. "I wonder if I should give him a chance, he looks handsome and all...I don't know, I'll have to see." she thought again, and then she quickly fell asleep.
In that time Bruce drank a few bottles of whiskey and smoked a few cigarettes, he stood up and walked towards the Basement downstairs. "Good afternoon, Mercy." Bruce greets the AI as he enters.
"Good afternoon, to you as well." Mercy said the voice of the AI sounded female. Bruce got tired of wearing his suit so he decided to get rid off the upper armor, revealing his body, he walked around topless.
"Must you always do that?" Mercy asked.
"Hmm?" he asked, with the cigarette in his mouth, he takes it out. "Do what?"
"You know, walk around, topless, you have a visitor...a..21-year-old, woman." Mercy said.
"Yeah, I know," Bruce said not really listening, sitting in his chair and looked at his large Monitor.
"And you are not listening..perfect." Mercy sighed. "What do you hope to get from her?" she asked. "Have you even though if she is interested in you?"
Bruce sighed. "Y'know, sometimes I hate the day when I gave you the ability of free will." he teased.
Mercy chuckles fakely. "Ha. Ha. Really funny." she said. "No answer."
"Well...I think I'm starting to warm up to her, so who knows?" Bruce said, leaning back onto his chair, placing his feet on the desk.
Mercy sighed. "Just…don't do anything stupid."
"I won't," he said, ensuring Mercy. "Any word from Antipatros?"
"Nope." Mercy responded. "You want me to continue working on your new suit?" she asked. "Again?" she teased.
"Well, you know me, I like to upgrade my stuff," Bruce said. "The world is getting advanced every day as we speak, and my dad once feared that."
"Yes, and that is why you need to be on your A game." Mercy said.
"Yeah." Bruce agreed as he yawned. "Well, I'll get an afternoon sleep, so...I'll be around," he said, leaving the basement and walked towards his room, he opens the door and closes it, and walks towards his bed and lets himself fall. He then made himself comfortable and began falling asleep.
After a few hours, Katrina woke up feeling refreshed and well, she got out of her bed. Katrina exited her room and walked into the bathroom to clean herself up after the fight, and decided to take a warm shower and after a few minutes she finished and dried her hair which took a few minutes also, she then exits the bathroom feeling much better now. She went back to her room and grabbed her comm unit, and then left Bruce's house to go outside and enjoy the sun and nice weather, walking towards her favorite park and found a bench and sat down, having a small smile on her face. She suddenly sat up, remembering that she lost her stuff. "Oh my god, my stuff…" she said, but she shakes her head and sits back down, listening to the pleasant sounds the birds were making.
Bruce woke up from a very deep sleep, almost forgetting what happened but he quickly remembered. He took another cigarette and smoked, he smirked a bit. "This is becoming a habit, it's not good." besides his window Hope came and knocked with her beak. He stood up and opened a window and began patting her on the head. "Your a good girl, aren't you?" Hope squawked and enjoyed the petting. Bruce continued smoking and was enjoying it. He suits up and said Hope a small goodbye, the Eagle flew in the distance. Bruce exits his room and goes to Katrina's room and knocked a few times, he hears nothing only his knocking, he prepares himself and enters inside.
"What the?" Bruce asked questioned as to where she might be. He then realized she took the comm. "Aha, she must have gotten somewhere, huh. I'd best leave her to have her own freedom if she truly cared she'd come back." Bruce left her room and closed the door. He went towards the wall he previously stored his weapons and placed his gauntlets on him together with his two hand cannons and two rifle pieces. He went outside his House and went for a walk with his hood up of course. "Though one call might not hurt right?" he asked himself before typing something on his gauntlet and contact Katrina through their secured commlink. "Hello, you left without saying goodbye."
Katrina picked up the comm. "What? Oh. Sorry. I thought you were still sleeping." She said, somewhat timidly.
"A knock knock on the door could have solved the mysterious." Bruce chuckled. "Where you at? That is if you want to meet," he said. "I thought by giving you some space you'd feel more comfortable and not under pressure."
Katrina thought before answering. "I'm at the park."
"I'll be right there before you could say Flash," Bruce said walking towards the Park.
"Okay," Katrina replied.
After a few minutes of walking he finds the Park, he sees Katrina and walked towards her. "May I?" he asked gesturing if he could sit right next to her on the bench.
Katrina nods. "Yes, you can."
Bruce sat down "So, I see you visited the Park, any particular reason?"
"It's quiet here, and I like listening to the birds," Katrina explained.
"You like quiet places?" Bruce asked.
Katrina nods. "Yes, I do," she said, quietly.
"So you'd like for me to be quiet as well?" he whispered.
Katrina laughs at that. "No, you're fine. Sometimes the quiet away from the city is peaceful..." She says. "Oh, that reminds me. I need to go shopping."
Bruce smiled "Shopping, well you already know which shop you'd like to go to?"
"I think. I just need some books and new clothes," she said.
"Well let's go then," Bruce said.
Katrina nods and stands up, waiting for Bruce. He stands up as well and Katrina walked with him out of the park and across the street, finding the clothing store she wanted to go in. As Bruce walked with her, he took his hoodie off revealing his face. "So this is the place, alright."
Katrina nods. "Yup," she said, happily, she walks inside followed by Bruce after and quickly goes to work and picks out some pairs of regular jeans and some brightly colored T-Shirts. Katrina then walked into the shoe aisle and picked out some white and red Vans. She then looks at Bruce. "Please?"
"Uh sure but what do you mean?" Bruce asked, not sure what she meant.
"The shoes, can I get them?" She asked, politely.
"Yes, of course, you can." he chuckled. "Though is it a coincidence? I mean those shoes are not the only white and red colors here," he said as he smiled a bit referring that he had the same color of clothes.
Katrina shrugged."I wonder if they have purple, though. That'd be even better!" She looked around for some purple shoes but to no avail. "Okay. Thanks!" She took the jeans, shirts, and shoes to the register.
"Good choice," Bruce said. "Red and White best color," he said joking.
Katrina and Bruce walked towards the Cashier and placed the things Katrina wanted to buy and the Cashier totaled up the price. "That'll be $120, please," she said, smiling. Katrina looked at Bruce. "I don't have any money. It was..." She looked at the Cashier. "Stolen."
"No worries." Bruce stepped in. "I got the money," he said as he looked for his man wallet and took out $150 and gave it to the Cashier. "Keep the change."
The Cashier's eyes twitched slightly as she rung up the receipt. "Thank you for shopping." She said. Katrina took the bag and gave Bruce a bright smile. "Thank you!"
"You're welcome." Bruce smiled back. "Now this time try not to get your clothes burnt okay?" he chuckled.
"Okay!" Katrina chirped happily.
"So how about you try it on?" Bruce asked.
Katrina nodded. "Yes!" She said as they began walking back to Bruce' home, after some minutes of walking he notices her she was happy and when they reached his house, the security made a quick scan and then after opens the door and lets the two inside. Bruce being a gentleman he lets Katrina walk into the house first. "You first," he said.
Katrina smiled and walked in and quickly entered her room. She set her stuff down and picked out the clothes that she wanted to try, and then walked into the bathroom.
Bruce walked into the living room and sat on an armchair. As she quickly changed and walked into the living room, and tried her new shoes. "What do you think?" She asked Bruce.
He gave her a look top to bottom and couldn't help but to feel amazed by her beauty, Bruce snaps and says. "It looks beautiful on you," he said. "Especially those shoes." he joked.
"Thanks!" She went and threw her other clothes, old and new except for the clothes she was wearing, in the washing machine and started it. "There," she said, walked out and dusting her hands off.
"You sure do know your place around." Bruce noticed. "What are your plans for tonight?" rubbing his face.
Katrina shrugged. "I dunno. Explore the city... mostly that, I suppose."
"Huh, well I know a good restaurant," Bruce said, he tilts his head.
"Oh! Okay," Katrina said, realizing what Bruce was suggesting. She thought for a moment. "What kind of restaurant is it?"
"Well this Restaurant has beautiful scenery and well it is expensive, but that doesn't matter," Bruce said. "It's called La Mode, best food in the City if you ask me."
"Okay! Sounds good!" she said.
"Yeah and it's a mostly casual restaurant, you don't need to go dressed up like rich people with their silly suits and all," he said. "I chose this Restaurant because it is special to me and well I wanted to take you out for a dinner date night thing."
Katrina nodded. "Hmm... maybe I do like him..." she thought. "Let's take it easy, though."
"Okay! Sounds fun to me!" She said happily.
"Great," he said happy to hear she agreed. "At which time of the night do you wanna go?"
"I dunno, around 6 or 7? Does that work for you?" she asked.
"I'd say 7 if that works for you too," he said.
"Great! Sounds good!" Katrina replied happily.
"Glad to hear it makes you happy." He said smiling.
She smiled brightly back at him. "For the first time, I feel... home." she thought.
"Well I'd better get going, I can't walk in there like these. I mean look at me," he said jokingly and stood up showing at himself top to bottom.
Katrina nods. "Yeah, especially that suit, it's not..proper for a 'date night thing'," she said, chuckling a bit.
"Yeah, right," he said, smiling. "I'll go in my room and change."
"Alright! I'll stay here while you get ready." She replied.
Bruce nods and walks into his room, he closed the door, he started to remove his Assassin gear, gauntlets, guns, rifle, and other things. He then took a few minutes to decide what he was going to wear, "I mean I need to impress Katrina in one way or the other." he thought to choose a few casual clothes.
Katrina sat on the sofa in the living room waiting for Bruce patiently. Humming some sounds of happiness. "I wonder what he is going to wear.." she thinks.
He grabbed a Solid Pleated Sleeve Hem Curved Long Fleece Hoodie which was this time black as its primary color and red as its secondary color. Alongside a pair of slim tapered blue jeans and a pair of Air Jordan 1 Breds (Red/Black) shoes. After that he was done, he didn't carry any weapons with him this night is meant to be special no weapons, no violence. He walked off his room and looked at Katrina. "So?" he asked, unsure.
Katrina nodded approvingly. "Very nice."
"Thanks," Bruce said. "Y'know we should probably take a selfie," he suggested.
"Okay," said Katrina.
Bruce took his phone and moved closer towards Katrina and held his phone up. "Alright, cheese."
Katrina smiled for the phone.
"Cheese!"
Bruce did the same and took the picture. Then he looked at it and said. "Wow, we look great." he showed the picture to her.
Katrina nodded. "Yup!" she agrees.
"Alright, so you ready?" Bruce asked. "It is almost 7 o'clock," he remarks
"As ready as I'll ever be," Katrina replied.
"Alright now the place would require a ride, lucky for us both I got just the right thing. So follow me." Bruce said as he started to walk and went to the lower level of the house and opened the garage showing an expensive red Lamborghini Aventador.
Katrina's eyes popped wide open in awe. "Th-that's... wha-? How'd you get the money to buy that?"
Bruce chuckled. "Haha, you didn't think a job as an Assassin would bring you enough money to live with style?" he asked jokingly as he made his way towards the car and opened up the right side door of the car for Katrina. She follows, still speechless, not knowing what to say and she sits down into the sit. "Well let's just say Antipatros is more than just a mentor, he is also a businessman and I also have gotten the luck to have half of his money, so shall we?" he asked.
Katrina slid into the seat, a smile on her face. "Wow."
He closed the door and then sat on his driver seat. "Yeah well, y'know I really tend to keep this a secret, especially around girls. Money doesn't make the Man, Man makes the Money and you've proven you are more interested how I am as a person instead of this money which I have." he said as the garage opened and then with a bit of speed left the garage which closed when they were gone.
Katrina watched the land speed by as they drove. "Wow, I just still can't believe...this is great," she said, smiling.
"Well, I'm glad you are enjoying it," Bruce said. "But money doesn't buy happiness..." he pauses. "Unless you have the right person to spend with."
Katrina thought quietly. "I think I do have that person." She said quietly.
Bruce understood what she meant and looked at her passionately. "For the first time in my life, I can say the same."
Katrina gives Bruce a bright smile. "You have a beautiful smile, you know?" Bruce said as they drove almost reaching their destination the car got faster and speeded through the city.
"Thank you!" Katrina said.
Bruce and Katrina soon arrived at the Restaurant called "La Mode". The Restaurant looked to be a very big place with futuristic designs to it. Bruce found a parking way and parked the car. "So here we are," he said….
