19. First Kiss
His lips hovered, begging for acceptance, inches from her's. This was a make or break decision for them both. To kiss her would mean that they meant something to each other and they both knew it. It would be something between them that only they could share and it would mean something.
She backed away slowly, shaking her head. "I'm not ready yet." she said, apologizing with her eyes. He nodded, hugging her gently and backing up, leaving her at the portrait hole. Maybe next time. The next time, they'd have their first kiss.
