Percy wandered the pavilion aimlessly.

He wasn't hungry, so while everyone else ate dinner, he had nothing to do.

Chiron was nowhere in sight and neither was Mr. D. Percy made his way over to the Hephestus table.

"Hey, Leo. Are you done?" asked Percy, ignoring the obvious. Leo finished chewing his bite and looked at Percy like he was crazy.

"Man, I'm eating it infront of you. So no." Shaking his head he went back to eating his food.

Percy walked back and sat down at his lonely Poseidon table. He turned suddenly to see the dark sky. It wasn't unusual to see overcast weather, but today's weather seemed eerily dark. Gazing around his eyes landed on the forest. It was shadowed and silent. Looking up again Percy saw that it was meant to be a full moon.

*SLAM*

Surprised by the sudden impact, Percy turned around and gripped the attacker.

"Aaah!" screeched out a shrill cry. To Percy's surprise it was the new girl at camp..

What was her name? He couldn't rememer.

"My bad." he said, feeling his cheecks go red.

The girl looked embarressed herself. That's when Percy realized, that her food was all over his pants.

"Sorry." she said, he voice barely above a whisper. She was smaller than Percy and probably a few years younger, too.

Her long wavy black hair was open and her creamy skin was flawless. She had big eyes that changed from black to gray to brown. Sort of mesmerizing.

She was odd. No offense.

"I'm Percy." he said, hoping to get a hint at her name. She took it.

"Nina." she said. Silence. Nobody said anything. Then something unexpected happened. And Percy seemed to have no control over what he did.

"Hey, me and my friends were going to play a game past curfew. Wanna come with us?"

Nina looked absoloutely satisfied for the better part of the minute. then her expression changed to surprised.

"Oh. Sure.. thanks." she said, her voice quiet and whispered.

"Meet behind the cabins at ten." spoke Percy. Nina agreed and left. As soon as she left, Percy felt dizzy.

He hadn't planned any game. Something had suddenly overcome him.

Percy turned to walk around, when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He whirled around and saw Annabeth.

"You scared me." said Percy to Annabeth's weirded out look.

"Why,Seaweed Brain?" asked Annabeth as they started wandering together.

"I was just talking to the new girl, Nina. She caught me off guard.." he trailed off.

Annabeth shot him a grin.

"Hey. Umm, I was wondering if you wanted to meet after curfew?" asked Percy. His voice sounded a little off. He felt his face redden, even though it wasn't for those reasons, he flet a little awkward.

"Uhh..Why?" she asked, cautiously.

"I have something time?" he spoke right of the top of his brain. She was quiet and thoughtful.

"Fine, but we better not get caught!" warned Annabeth, playfully.

Percy nodded. As Annabeth started to leave, he called out to her again.

"And tell the others!"

"Sure." replied Annabeth.

In the pit of his stomach, he felt excitement and a hint of... dread?

This was going to be unforgettable, he thought unexpectedly.

One way or another.
