A/N Hey guys, Winter here, and here's the next chapter! I got a great review from ChxrrxMxmxs, and it made me feel amazing! If I ever get more reviews, I'll reply to some of them in my author's note. Enough time wasting, let's get into the next chapter!

It had been almost a whole week since the Senate meeting, and the remaining victors of Panem had just finished deciding what part of the Capitol they were going to mentor. The capitol was divided into 6 parts for the purpose of having one of the seven remaining victors, Katniss, Peeta, Johanna, Beetee, Enobaria, and Haymitch pick one to mentor, Annie Cresta too fragile in her state of mind to mentor 4 tributes.

Plutarch Heavensbee had decided to boost the number of tributes from each part of the Capitol to 4, continuing the practice of 24 tributes in the arena. Katniss had chosen Lake, the part of the Capitol known for its seafood restaurants. Peeta, Jewel, the part known for it's jewelry. Johanna, Pine, the part closest to the mountains. Beetee, Wire, the closest to the electrical plant that received the electricity from District 3. Haymitch, Class, the part closest to the president's mansion, renamed White House in honor of the one before it. Enobaria was stuck to Train, the part with the most transportation.

Stylists, ones that had began to clamor for the 75th, but were rejected, were called back in to be interviewed for the interviews and the tribute's parade. Potential Gamemakers were called in to be interviewed and chosen for Plutarch's team. And escorts were chosen for the 6 parts of the Capitol they were assigned to.

"Peeta?"

"Yes, Katniss?"

"How do you feel, being a mentor?" Katniss propped herself up on their bed; It was the night before the Reapings, and Katniss was trying as hard as she could to keep images and sounds of "Primrose Everdeen" and a small 12 year old trying not to cry out of her brain.

"Honestly, Katniss, I'm a little scared. I've never mentored, and you know I voted no when Coin first came up with this plan."

"I know you did, Peeta. I voted yes for Prim, and I'm even a little nervous."

"The Mockingjay, the great Katniss Everdeen is nervous of a little Hunger Games?" Peeta teased, tickling Katniss.

"Yes, I am! Stop tickling!" Katniss laughed, finally settling down, "I know, Peeta. There are worse Games to play though."

The day of the Reapings were momentous. Districts cheered, happy their children wouldn't ever have to go through them again. Capitol parents were horrified, to say the least, that their children were going through what they had watched so many times on television. When they were chosen, kids burst into tears, crying for their parents. Citizens of all Districts were invited to the Capitol, cheering for the tribute train, and eagerly awaiting the start of the Games.

The interviews and tribute trains went smoothly, only a few outbursts of tears and that was it. The tributes had to spend more than 4 days in the Training Center, because most of them had never even touched the outdoors before.

"They don't even know how to find firewood!" Katniss exclaimed, "I would've thought that with their fancy fireplaces they would've known that wood comes from trees!"

"Their 'fancy fireplaces' work on gas, Katniss."

At last, the day of the Hunger Games arrived. Tributes were dressed in long pants, long sleeve shirts, and a light coat. Boots were worn on their feet, and pockets were provided in the pants for their token or extra materials.

"Remember, do NOT step off the pedestal before the gong rings, or you will be blasted sky high by the mines. Grab what's close to your pedestal and run for it. Do NOT attempt to retrieve something from the Cornucopia, because there is a 97% chance you will get killed. After you run, find a water source. Do NOT make a fire that night or the next, because someone will probably see the smoke or the light from the fire and will come to kill you. Fires are safer when more tributes are dead. Alliances can save your life. Alliances can get more dangerous as the tribute number goes down. Understand?" Katniss lectured.

Her four tributes, Shine, Silk, Gold, and Copper nodded their heads. "Good", Katniss smiled. Despite hating the Capitol, Katniss had grown sort of fond of her tributes, and would pulverize anyone who said that to the public. The four tributes got in their launch tubes, and Katniss waved as they ascended into the air.

Bright light engulfed them as they stood on their pedestal. Crisp wind blew around their hair, and they took their first look around as they prepared to charge toward the Cornucopia. 5...4...3...2...1…

Let the 76th Hunger Games begin.
